Abstract

UMKM in Jember have a strategic role in the local economy, but face challenges in competition in the digital era. This research analyzes the digital marketing strategies implemented by UMKM in Jember as well as the obstacles and opportunities they face. Using qualitative descriptive methods, data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that UMKM in Jember are starting to utilize social media such as Instagram and TikTok, as well as marketplaces such as Shopee and Tokopedia to expand their market reach. However, the main challenges faced include low digital literacy, limited capital, intense competition on digital platforms, and changes in social media algorithms. To overcome this obstacle, UMKM implement adaptation strategies such as digital marketing training, collaboration with micro-influencers, and marketing diversification between online and offline. This study concludes that digital marketing can increase the competitiveness of UMKM, but it needs support from the government and the business community to ensure its sustainability and effectiveness.

Abstract

The study is conducted to explain the suitability of credit risk control management to minimize the non-performing loans at XYZ Bank Branch Surabaya as stipulated by the Basel Accord Committee in Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 18/PJOK.03/2016 about the Implementation of Risk Management for Commercial Banks. Based on the Basel III guidelines, credit risk management includes seven mechanisms. The seven mechanisms are the policy framework, credit risk rating framework, credit risk limits, credit risk modeling, credit risk mitigation, credit audits, and loan review mechanisms. The study uses a qualitative study by the case study approach. The results showed that the control of credit risk management implemented by Bank XYZ Surabaya Branch to minimize non-performing loans to individual debtors in the SME segment had not run effectively. It was primarily about the evaluation of credit risk, which led to the emergence of a new set of risks such as errors in credit risk evaluation, target market losses and ineffective allocation of loan funds, and inadequate strategies for collecting net credit to customers. The study also provides several recommendations for credit risk management as the strategy to reduce the risk of lending to individual debtors in the SME segment at XYZ Bank Branch Surabaya.

Abstract

Providing ample facilities encourages active student participation and enhances learning outcomes. Evaluating the adequacy of educational resources is crucial for maximizing student achievement. Student performance is influenced by available resources and other factors, including family economics, peer influence, and societal factors. Adequate facilities are linked to higher academic achievement, while their lack can impede learning and reduce student performance. This research employs a quantitative methodology to analyze the impact of media usage, facilities, and student learning interests on their motivation and outcomes in economics. Data was collected from primary and secondary sources, involving a sample of 124 participants, including 31 class XI students from a private high school in East Java. Results indicate a positive relationship between media usage and learning facilities with learning motivation. However, there is no significant relationship between Learning Interest and Learning Motivation nor a direct relationship between media, facilities, and learning outcomes. A unidirectional relationship exists between learning interest, motivation, and outcomes. Additionally, a significant correlation is found between students' learning preferences and exposure to learning media, whereas facilities do not show a positive correlation with academic interests.
