Abstract

ABSTRACT Nutritional problems in toddlers are influenced by various factors. The presence of siblings is one of the factors that play a role in the nutritional problems of toddlers. Close birth distance causes the care of children in one family to be not optimal. Find out the causes of under-five nutritional problems among siblings in the same family. The study used a systematic review method using PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis). Material collection was carried out using two search engines, Google Scholar and Science Direct, which were accessed via https://remote-lib.ui.ac.id/. 1250 articles from Google Scholar and 63 articles from Science Direct were obtained. Eight articles were reviewed. Keywords used "Siblings" "Contribution" "Under-Five Children" "Nutrition" "Problems". The sibling factor contributes to under-five children's nutrition problems. The number of siblings affects the feeding patterns of children under five in a family. The close birth distance also contributes to the emergence of nutritional issues due to inadequate food intake given to children in one family, especially those from low economic backgrounds. Siblings contribute to nutritional problems in children under five, especially if the birth distance is close enough. There is a need to educate young families on birth spacing and educate parents on how to manage adequate nutrition for children under five who are more than one person in a family. Keywords: Siblings, Nutrition Problems, Stunting, Nutritional Adequacy  ABSTRAK Keberadaan saudara kandung menjadi salah saatu faktor yang berperan pada permasalahan gizi balita.

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many health problems to the world, even having an impact on a socio-economic crisis that has a negative psychosocial effect on everyone, including pregnant women. Several studies have shown that the COVID-19 pandemic causes deteriorating psychological health in pregnant women. Worse psychological status can arise because lack of social support causes increased symptoms of anxiety and depression.Purpose : This study aims to identify the psychological impact that occurs on pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This type of research uses the literature review method from 8 journals in the PubMed, ScienceDirect, Tandfonline databases in the 2020 - 2021 period. Results: The results show that the COVID-19 pandemic can have a significant psychological impact on pregnant women, especially in the form of anxiety and symptoms of depression. The prevalence of depression in pregnant women has increased significantly to 35.3% in China and anxiety symptoms to 56.6% in Canada since the spread of the COVID-19 disease. Pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic reported more psychological symptoms than before the COVID-19 pandemic. The prevalence of depression and anxiety symptoms in pregnant women before the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain was 12.8% and 15.2%, respectively, increasing to 38% and 59% during the COVID-19 pandemic..Conclusion: Pregnant women are especially vulnerable to symptoms of anxiety and depression. The COVID-19 pandemic had negative psychological impacts on pregnant women. Family support and social support can overcome the causes of psychological problems in pregnant women, and early identification and intervention for mood symptoms in pregnant women during a pandemic is important to improve mental health care for pregnant women, especially considering the long-term adverse effects on the birth and development of the baby later.

Abstract

Background: In 2018, measles remained a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with over 9.7 million cases and more than 140,000 deaths associated with this disease. Additionally, rubella also has long-term health consequences, with an estimated 103,000 infants born with Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS). In 2022, there was a significant increase in the number of laboratory-confirmed measles cases, totaling 4,845 cases, with six resulting in death (CFR 0.1%). Some of the provinces most affected were Aceh, West Sumatra, and East Java. In 2022, the city of Pariaman was declared a state of emergency (KLB) for measles.Aims: To analyze the link between immunization status and measles/rubella incidents during the KLB event in Pariaman City in 2022.Method: Quantitative research with a case-control design. In this study, the researchers used secondary data contained in the annual report of Pariaman City Health Service for 2022. The researchers employed a parametric test with Chi-Square statistical test using the IBM SPSS computer program to determine the interaction between the two variables. Results: The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between a history of immunization and the occurrence of measles/rubella in Pariaman City. P = 0.032 (p < 0.05). An OR value of 3.25 (95% CI = 1.209 – 8.733) indicated that a history of non-immunization had a 3.25 times greater risk of exposure to measles/rubella than a history of immunization. Conclusion: Immunization history affects the outbreak in Pariaman City in 2022.
