Abstract

The high prevalence of bullying in Indonesian schools indicates the urgency to take more serious action in addressing this issue. Bullying has a very damaging impact on students' psychological, emotional, and academic development. The study aims to describe and analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in building a school culture free from bullying through the implementation of character education based on Islamic teachings. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data collection techniques were carried out by searching documents (library documentation). Data analysis was done using reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. This research shows that a bullying-free school culture is highly dependent on character education that is consistently instilled. PAI teachers have a strategic role in shaping students' character through teaching Islamic values such as compassion, justice, and mutual respect. These values are not only taught theoretically, but also realized through exemplary, experiential learning and collaborative activities such as discussion, role-play, and group learning. PAI teachers not only act as educators but also as drivers of change who are able to create a positive school culture that is free from bullying behavior.

Abstract

Dermolo as one of the villages in Kembang, Jepara, was ever hit by a conflict under a religious background. This friction involved Islamic and Christian groups. The dispute between the two groups increasinglyculminated and seemed to have no end without the presence of the Nation. When the Regional Governmentof Jepara encountered a deadlock in breaking down this social conflict, the presence of a civil societyorganization was necessary. Lakpesdam NU Jepara since 2014 up to now has been trying to extinguishthe fire of conflict in Dermolo which was initially triggered by disputes over the use of a worship place.Through a qualitative descriptive approach by utilizing the theory of conflict resolution and multiculturaleducation, this paper finally succeeds in mapping the four multicultural education patterns used byLakpesdam NU. Those are economic empowerment, religious approaches, empowering women, andempowering village cadres. The result of this academic discourse at the same time provides an alternativemethodological offer that can be replicated by the stakeholders of the policymakers, for example, theRegional Government and the relevant Regional Apparatus Organization. It can be used as a prototype forcivil society organizations and peace activists in settling disputes wrapped in religious sentiment. This kindof inclusive pattern is considered as quite successful as a conflict resolution strategy. Lakpesdam NU Jeparais the only institution that has the sympathy of the residents and the Dermolo Government because it hascontributed positively to restoring social harmony between Christian and Islam groups.

Abstract

The Madrasa as Islamic educational institutions has a crucial role in promoting multicultural education values so that students avoid prejudice, suspicion, and intolerance. The Akidah Akhlak Teachers at MI Masalikil Huda 2 have a unique way to promote these values, namely through constructivism-based learning strategies. With a qualitative approach relying on the interview, observation, and documentation techniques, the researchers try to answer two important questions; how the teacher's strategy in introducing students to the values of multicultural education and what approaches they use in the learning process in the classroom. Finally, this research concludes that teachers instill the values of democracy, tolerance, equality or equality, brotherhood or kinship, and the value of unity in learning Akidah Akhlak. There are four constructivism strategies in the delivery of multicultural education, namely cooperative learning, conceptual achievement, exemplary, habituation, and role-playing. They also rely on historical approaches, gender perspective approaches, and aesthetic approaches. Thus, the claim that the madrasa is inconsistent in delivering Islamic religious material with a multicultural perspective is refuted by the findings of this research. Keywords: Multicultural Education, Constructivism Learning Strategies, Cooperative Learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify the philosophical ideas of Paulo Freire and KH. Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur. It also maps the peculiarities of the two figures' thoughts in applying humanism philosophy to education. This study employs a qualitative method by conducting library research. The study's findings indicate that Paulo Freire and Gus Dur's ideas incorporate humanistic educational qualities. Both are humanist intellectuals who strive to improve human dignity through education. The distinction is in the background. Freire has a foundation in traditional Western schooling. KH. Abdurrahman Wahid, on the other hand, represents a Muslim intellectual. Paulo Freire's concept of education that liberates is focused on humanity. Meanwhile, Gus Dur saw that anyone could have liberty if his every move was based on God. Freire's method is problem-solving education and critical thinking. Similar to Gus Dur, who glorified critical thinking in students. Future scholars should expand on the ideas of the two figures by employing a multi- and interdisciplinary method and type of research.

Abstract

The low interest of students in memorizing Arabic vocabulary has prompted educators to seek effective methods for the teaching and learning process. Vocabulary mastery is a crucial aspect of learning Arabic, as without it, students' abilities to understand, speak, read, and write in Arabic are severely limited. However, memorizing vocabulary is often perceived as a boring and difficult task, particularly when relying solely on traditional methods such as passively memorizing word lists. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Audio-Lingual Method at MTs Mathalibul Huda Mlonggo and assess its positive and negative impacts on students' memorization skills. A qualitative descriptive method was used, with data analysis conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results indicate that the Audio-Lingual Method is effective in improving students' memorization of Arabic vocabulary, as it emphasizes repetition, listening and speaking exercises, and habituation through dialogue. Approximately 83% of students demonstrated mastery of the method, while 17% struggled to utilize it due to a lack of focus during the listening activities. Despite challenges such as differences in student abilities and limited resources, these obstacles can be overcome with teaching strategies and approaches tailored to students' characteristics. Therefore, the Audio-Lingual Method represents a relevant and effective alternative for enhancing students' Arabic vocabulary memorization and improving their overall language skills in a communicative and comprehensive manner.

The training included capacity building in student talent mapping and institutional branding with digital promotion strategies. The results show an improvement in teachers’ understanding and skills in identifying students’ interests and talents more systematically, as well as their ability to manage institutional branding strategies through digital media. Participants stated that the program was relevant to the school’s needs, beneficial for improving service quality, and strengthened the institution’s readiness to face modern educational challenges. Evaluation indicated positive responses, with most participants assessing the trainers as competent, materials as easy to understand, and facilities as adequate, although a longer training duration was considered necessary.
