Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas analisis wacana media massa terhadap berita Kompas.com berjudul “Fasilitas Olah Sampah Jadi Listrik Bakal Dibangun di 6 Provinsi” dengan menggunakan kerangka analisis wacana menurut Aris Badara. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran media dalam membentuk opini publik mengenai kebijakan pengelolaan sampah dan energi terbarukan di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkap bentuk wacana, strategi kebahasaan, serta makna ideologis yang dibangun media dalam memberitakan pembangunan PSEL. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik dokumentasi sebagai sumber data, dan analisis dilakukan melalui dua tahap, yaitu: (1) analisis tekstual untuk menelaah struktur bahasa, kohesi, koherensi, dan pilihan diksi dalam teks; dan (2) analisis kontekstual untuk mengidentifikasi kepentingan media, representasi aktor, serta pembingkaian isu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media membingkai kebijakan pemerintah secara positif melalui diksi persuasif dan teknis, serta hanya menghadirkan pemerintah sebagai sumber utama sehingga membentuk wacana yang dominan dan mendukung legitimasi kebijakan. Tidak ada pandangan kritis dari publik atau pihak independen. Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah perlunya literasi kritis terhadap pemberitaan lingkungan agar masyarakat dapat memahami isi berita secara lebih objektif dan menyeluruh.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the use of Brainpop media affects the ability to write short story texts in class XI students of SMA Negeri 17 Medan. The population in this study was all class XI students of SMA Negeri 17 Medan in the 2025/2026 academic year consisting of 8 classes totaling 284 people, from this population a sample of 35 people was determined, namely class XI B which was selected by simple random samplingThe method used in this research is a one group pretest-posttest design with the problem and research objective to determine students' short story writing skills and to obtain the data, the instrument used is an assignment test.From the data analysis, the results of the pretest for students before using Brainpop media showed that the average score for students was 50, while the results of the posttest for students after using Padlet media showed that the average score for students was 74.The results of the hypothesis test using the t-test obtained a calculated t value = 13.874 while the t table value at a significance level <= 0.05 was 1.667572, therefore the obtained t count> t table (13.874 1.667572) so the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected.Based on the research results, it can be concluded that using Brainpop media is effective in writing short story texts for class XI students of SMA Negeri 17 Medan in the 2025/2026 academic year. Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan soft skill siswa-siswi kelas 12 SMA Negeri 1 Sibolangit. Pelatihan kepemimpinan ini penting untuk terapkan pada siswa-siswi karena hasilnya dibutuhkan di dunia kerja dan di jenjang universitas. Metode penerapan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode diskusi dan role-play. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa-siswi lebih dekat dengan tradisi lokal yang mengandung nilai-nilai kearifan lokal berupa tanggung jawa, saling menghargai, cakap berkomunikasi, sopan, berkomitmen, taat aturan atau disiplin, pekerja keras, jujur, percaya diri, bersyukur, dan memiliki harapan kepada sang pencipta. Pelatihan ini juga menjadi insfirasi bagi guru dalam memilih dan menentukan metode yang tepat menyajikan materi sehingga disenangi oleh siswa-siswi. Novelty pelatihan ini terletak pada integrasi nilai-nilai tradisi budaya lokal dalam proses pengembangan kepemimpinan dan soft skill siswa. Pendekatan ini sangat relevan karena siswa-siswi belajar dari pengalaman yang dihormati oleh masyarakat lokal. Di samping itu, pelatihan ini merupakan sebuah inovasi dalam memperkuat identitas dan meningkatkan rasa cinta budaya. Pelatihan sejenis belum pernah dilakukan dengan pendekatan kearifan lokal di tingkat SMA khususnya di SMA Negeri 1 Sibolangit.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the construction of meaning, ideological values, and social relations in Denny Sumargo’s podcast entitled “Mukjizat Tuhan, Terlahir Kembar Siam Dewi dan Putri Tidak Mau Dipisahkan.” The selection of this object is grounded in its rich humanitarian discourse and spiritual values that reflect broader social and cultural dimensions. The study addresses how meaning and ideology are constructed through discourse and how these elements shape social perceptions. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques and analyzed using Teun A. Van Dijk’s three-dimensional framework: text structure, social cognition, and social context. The findings reveal that diction, stylistic features, and narrative structures consistently construct an image of a religious, compassionate, and resilient family facing limitations. The podcast functions as a medium for conveying moral and spiritual messages, shaping public opinion and fostering social awareness through empathetic and reflective narratives. These results demonstrate that discourse in digital media plays a significant role in constructing meaning and influencing societal values.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi masyarakat. Salah satu contoh kegiatan ini adalah mengajarkan cerita Alkitab kepada anak-anak Sekolah Minggu. Namun, proses pengajaran seringkali masih dilakukan dengan metode konvensional yang kurang menarik bagi anak-anak. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman anak-anak Sekolah Minggu melalui penggunaan gambar animasi dalam pengajaran cerita Alkitab. Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan pendidikan yang dilaksanakan melalui penyajian cerita Alkitab dalam bentuk animasi, diikuti dengan penjelasan sederhana tentang materi, sesi tanya jawab, dan aktivitas interaktif yang berkaitan dengan pesan moral yang terkandung dalam cerita-cerita tersebut. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Gereja HKBP Bethesda Resort di Medan Sunggal, dengan anak-anak Sekolah Minggu sebagai peserta sasaran. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan gambar animasi dalam pengajaran cerita Alkitab telah terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menarik, interaktif, dan mudah dipahami bagi anak-anak Sekolah Minggu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis teks cerpen siswa sebelum pengunaan media Flipbook Digital Interaktif serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengunaan media Flipbook Digital Intearktif terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 11 Medan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain 0ne Group PretestPosttest Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 11 Medan, sedangkan sampel penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan satu kelas, yakni kelas XIc, yaitu kelas Pretest dan Posttest. Kelas Posttest diberi perlakuan menggunakan media Flipbook Digital Interaktif, sedangkan kelas Pretest menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional atau media yang tersedia disekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis teks cerpen siswa pada kelas Posstest memperoleh nilai rata-rata 79,67 dengan skor tertinggi 95 dan skor terendah 60. Sementara itu, kelas Pretest memperoleh nilai rata-rata 48,83 dengan skor tertinggi 70 dan skor terendah 30. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dengan db = 58, maka T tabel = 2,001 Karena T hitung > T tabel atau 11,59 > 2,001, maka H₀ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dalam penggunaan media Flipbook Digital Interaktif terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 11 Medan.

Abstract

Legal discourse, specifically Investigation Reports (Berita Acara Pemeriksaan/BAP), serves as a critical evidentiary foundation in the criminal justice system. Ideally, these documents must embody strict neutrality and objectivity to ensure fair legal proceedings. However, a significant research problem persists: the potential infiltration of subjective evaluative language that may compromise legal clarity, fairness, and procedural justice. Despite their profound legal weight, there is limited empirical understanding of how linguistic appraisal mechanisms operate within various BAP types. Unchecked evaluative language risks introducing bias, manipulating narrative perspectives, and creating legal ambiguities that could adversely affect suspect rights and judicial outcomes. This gap necessitates a critical linguistic examination to uncover hidden subjectivities within ostensibly objective legal texts. Consequently, this study aims to evaluate the language used in Investigation Reports by applying Appraisal Theory to analyze Attitude and Positioning patterns. This research employed a qualitative descriptive design supported by corpus analysis using the Simple Concordance Program (SCP). The data consisted of eight types of Investigation Reports obtained from the Galang Sub-district Police Station. The analysis focused on identifying evaluative lexical items and their distribution across report types. To ensure analytical reliability, appraisal categories were classified based on predefined criteria, and cross-checking was conducted to reduce subjectivity. The findings indicate that negative Attitude dominates the Suspect Investigation Reports (35.7%), while negative Positioning is most prominent in Confiscation Reports (24.2%). In general, Suspect Reports show the highest frequency of appraisal usage (97.99%), suggesting a high degree of evaluative language in representing events. These findings highlight the importance of linguistic awareness in drafting investigation reports, particularly in maintaining neutrality and clarity to avoid potential misinterpretation. The prevalence of negative appraisal suggests an inherent bias that could influence judicial outcomes, underscoring the urgent need for standardized linguistic protocols in legal documentation to uphold justice and procedural integrity

Abstract

The digitalization of reporting systems is essential for ensuring transparency in rural governance; however, data validity remains a persistent challenge in manual reporting practices. This community service program aimed to transform the Babinsa reporting system in Bandar Dolok Village from conventional documentation into a forensic discourse–based digital reporting system. The program employed a Community-Based Action Research (CBAR) approach over three months, resulting in the implementation of the Bandar Dolok Smart-Monitoring application equipped with metadata encryption, geotagging, and automated timestamps. The implementation significantly improved data integrity, with spatial accuracy increasing by 95% and narrative objectivity improving by 91%. Reporting practices shifted from subjective descriptions to verifiable digital evidence with audit value. Beyond accelerating information flow, the system enhances transparency and accountability in village development monitoring. The program concludes that forensic-based digitalization can establish a transparent, accountable, and tamper-resistant development monitoring system.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the activity of online learning during the covid-19 period and to find out the efforts made in overcoming obstacles to online learning at SD Parulian 2 Medan. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection techniques, namely by means of observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of the study show that there are still some students who do not focus on the online learning system, lack of online learning facilities such as the internet and so on. Then also the unpreparedness of the guardians of students and teachers in facing the online learning. In the implementation of online learning, teachers often use WhatsApp to communicate with students and their parents. In addition, WhatsApp is used by teachers to share information related to learning materials. In conclusion, the implementation of online learning at iSD iParulian i2 Medan was not carried out properly, it can be seen from the results of the study due to the constraints of the lack of active students, limited internet facilities and the use of other learning media besides WhatsApp which is still lacking. The solution to overcome this obstacle is the readiness of parents, such as accompanying children when learning online and providing online learning facilities such as cellphones and internet quota. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the results of the implementation of the Inquiry model with Animated Film Media in Learning to Write Review Texts. This research was carried out in SMA Negeri I in class XI. The sampling technique was carried out by simple cluster sampling. The sampling technique was divided into two groups, namely the experimental class group of 30 students and the control class as many as 30 students, in order to obtain a total sample of 60 students. Ink's research used a two group posttest experimental design. To obtain the data used the assignment of writing a review text. From the analysis, the students' ability to write review texts in class XI of SMA Negeri I Pegajahan without using animated film media obtained the lowest score of 50 and the highest score of 87, with an average score of 63.5. The ability of students to write review texts in class XI of SMA Negeri I Pegajahan using animated film media obtained the lowest score of 60 and the highest score of 89, with an average of 72.23. Based on the results of the calculations, it was obtained that tcount = 3.757 and ttable = 2.042 with a significant level of 0.05 indicating tcount > ttable, then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. In conclusion, the use of the inquiry model with animated film media affects the ability of students to write review texts for class XI students of SMA Negeri I Pegajahan.
