The results of this study found that students had good basic skills, major skills, intermediate skills, advanced skills, and literacy skills. However, the technical capabilities are still relatively poor. In (1) Basic Competencies, some problems are resolved properly, there are also several topical problems that still exist but at least there is an overview of problem-solving. (2) Students' Basic Competencies have a fairly good introduction to the basics of computer equipment. (3) Students' Intermediate Competencies increase at this stage, namely understanding various features on laptops, using printers, and using Ms. applications. Word and use of e-mail applications. The mastery of this competency is due to the fact that informants often carry out these activities so that they are more accustomed to their use. (4) Advanced Competencies to access information using search engines and online databases are good. (5) Technical Competencies of the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program students as research informants do not yet have technical expertise regarding hardware and software. Informants have not been able to repair damage to digital equipment even at a simple level. (6) Students' Digital Literacy Proficiency does not yet have sufficient literacy skills starting from formulating a search plan, establishing a search strategy, organizing, processing, applying and communicating information, and understanding standard citation formats, and do not have the effort to communicate information with technology.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the construction of discourse, power relations, and the production of truth in a podcast discussing Timothy's case using Michel Foucault's Critical Discourse Analysis framework. The focus of the research lies in how power works through language, body, institutions, and discursive practices in shaping subjects and producing "truth" about the tragedy in the public sphere. The research data consists of the entire discourse in the podcast, starting from minute 00:00 until the end. All data are analyzed through Foucauldian categories, namely the regime of truth, power/knowledge, medical gaze, disciplinary power, biopower, governmentality, subjectivation, politics of silence, and counter-discourse. The results show that the discourse in the podcast not only constructs an informative narrative but also produces power relations that influence how society understands the tragedy. Medical and psychological discourses position Timothy as a pathological subject, while family discourse forms a counter-discourse to reclaim his identity. The media acts as an institution that determines the framework of interpretation, while the state through the Ministry and the police emerges as the official producer of truth. Furthermore, the interaction between religious power, educational power, and social power demonstrates that truth is not an objective entity, but rather a dynamic construction produced through inter-discursive struggles. This research confirms that Foucault's analysis effectively uncovers invisible power structures in contemporary social events.

Abstract

The development of social media has made TikTok an important space for shaping public opinion, disseminating information, and practicing digital education. One public figure who actively uses this platform is Dr. Richard Lee, a cosmetic doctor known for his educational content and criticism of illegal skincare products. His assertive, forthright, and straightforward communication style often causes controversy while strengthening his image as an honest and courageous doctor. This study aims to analyze how educational discourse and controversy are constructed in Dr. Richard Lee's TikTok content using Teun A. van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) model. The study was conducted by analyzing the text structure, social cognition, and social context of a number of relevant TikTok videos. The results show that educational discourse is constructed through the affirmation of scientific values, the use of evidence, and an informative style of language, while controversial discourse emerges through sharp criticism, the use of emotional diction, and expressions of rejection of cosmetic industry practices that are considered harmful to society. In addition, the discourse of authenticity is also evident through claims of impartiality and transparency in every product review. Overall, this discourse shows that language in social media functions as a means of education, resistance, and self-image formation.

Abstract

Abstract

The digitalization of reporting systems is essential for ensuring transparency in rural governance; however, data validity remains a persistent challenge in manual reporting practices. This community service program aimed to transform the Babinsa reporting system in Bandar Dolok Village from conventional documentation into a forensic discourse–based digital reporting system. The program employed a Community-Based Action Research (CBAR) approach over three months, resulting in the implementation of the Bandar Dolok Smart-Monitoring application equipped with metadata encryption, geotagging, and automated timestamps. The implementation significantly improved data integrity, with spatial accuracy increasing by 95% and narrative objectivity improving by 91%. Reporting practices shifted from subjective descriptions to verifiable digital evidence with audit value. Beyond accelerating information flow, the system enhances transparency and accountability in village development monitoring. The program concludes that forensic-based digitalization can establish a transparent, accountable, and tamper-resistant development monitoring system.
