Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Rendahnya literasi fiskal masyarakat dalam memahami pembiayaan pendidikan di daerah dapat memunculkan fiscal illusion, yang berdampak pada rendahnya keterlibatan masyarakat dalam proses evaluasi dan advokasi pembiayaan pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi fiskal komunitas pemerhati pendidikan melalui program fiscal literacy bootcamp di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah bermitra dengan KLIK Foundation yang melibatkan 25 orang sebagai peserta aktif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan mengintegrasikan pendekatan participatory action learning and empowerment (PALE) Community-Based Fiscal Literacy, dengan tahapan pelaksanaan mencakup asesmen partisipatif, penyusunan modul digital interaktif, pelaksanaan fiscal literacy bootcamp, pendampingan advokasi berbasis data, refleksi, dan penyusunan rencana tindak lanjut. Berdasarkan nilai pretest-postest yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan literasi fiskal peserta yang mencakup pemahaman tentang struktur pembiayaan pendidikan di daerah, kemampuan membaca dan menganalisis dokumen anggaran, serta keterampilan menyusun advokasi berbasis data. Penggunaan modul digital interaktif yang dikembangkan juga mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih fleksibel dan aplikatif. Kegiatan ini memperkuat kapasitas komunitas dalam mendorong transparansi dan akuntabilitas pembiyaan pendidikan di daerah. Fiscal literacy bootcamp terbukti efektif sebagai model pemberdayaan komunitas berbasis literasi fiskal pendidikan. Disarankan agar kegiatan serupa dapat dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan diperluas pada komunitas pendidikan lain agar partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengawasan anggaran pendidikan meningkat.Kata kunci: Fiscal Illusion; Literasi Fiskal; Pembiayaan Pendidikan; Pemberdayaan Komunitas; Advokasi Pendidikan. ABSTRACTLow levels of fiscal literacy among the public regarding the financing of education in local areas can lead to a “fiscal illusion,” which results in low public engagement in the evaluation and advocacy processes for education funding. This community service initiative aims to improve the fiscal literacy of the education advocacy community through a fiscal literacy bootcamp program in Central Lombok Regency, in partnership with the KLIK Foundation, involving 25 active participants. The activity was implemented by integrating the Community-Based Fiscal Literacy approach using Participatory Action Learning and Empowerment (PALE), with implementation stages including participatory assessment, development of interactive digital modules, conduct of the fiscal literacy bootcamp, data-driven advocacy mentoring, reflection, and development of a follow-up action plan. Based on the pretest-posttest scores, the community service activity demonstrated an increase in participants’ fiscal literacy, including an understanding of the structure of local education funding, the ability to read and analyze budget documents, and the skill to develop data-driven advocacy. The use of the interactive digital modules also supported more flexible and practical learning. This activity strengthened the community’s capacity to promote transparency and accountability in local education financing. The fiscal literacy bootcamp proved effective as a model for community empowerment.Keywords: Fiscal Illusion; Fiscal Literacy; Education Funding; Community Empowerment; Education Advocacy.

Abstract

The expansion of corn cultivation in Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, has the potential to generate significant economic growth but simultaneously places ecological pressure on protected forest areas. This study examines the spatial trade-off between agricultural expansion, particularly corn, and environmental quality in Dompu Regency by integrating Sentinel-2A image-based deforestation analysis (2019–2026) with Environmental Quality Index (IKLH) data from 2021–2025. Analysis results show that the area of dryland agriculture increased drastically from 7,602.02 ha to 92,115.24 ha, while primary forest cover decreased by 6,335.12 ha and shrub/scrub cover decreased by 49,131.65 ha. Deforestation reached 73,729.50 ha, and forest degradation covered 14,926.75 ha. On the other hand, corn production in Dompu Regency increased significantly from 302,117 tons (2020) to 629,011 tons (2022), although it experienced fluctuations in subsequent years. The IKLH analysis shows fluctuating values with an improving trend by 2025 (76.48), yet the components of the Water Quality Index (IKA) and Land Cover Quality Index (IKL) remain in the poor category. The identification of spatial trade-off zones—Critical Transition Zones in the sub-districts of Pekat, Kempo, and Woja; Ecologically Vulnerable Zones in the northern part; and Production Stabilization Zones in the southern part—provides a scientific basis for recalibrating spatial planning policies that integrate ecological boundaries into agricultural land-use planning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the environmental and technological dimensions of sustainable rice farming practices among rice farming communities in Jonggat Subdistrict, Central Lombok Regency. The research focuses on the integration of cultivation technologies, post-harvest processing, environmental sustainability practices, and the strengthening of farmer institutions to support sustainable agriculture. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through field observations, in-depth interviews with 20 farmers, and secondary data analysis. Strategic analysis was conducted using the SWOT approach. The results indicate that the adoption of technologies such as the System of Rice Intensification (SRI), organic fertilizers, and the jajar legowo planting system can increase rice productivity by approximately 5–10%. Furthermore, these environmentally friendly agricultural practices contribute to improved soil quality, reduced dependence on chemical fertilizers, enhanced water-use efficiency, and lower greenhouse gas emissions, thereby supporting sustainable environmental management. Nevertheless, technology adoption remains constrained by limited capital, low technological literacy, and continued dependence on subsidized chemical fertilizers. Therefore, strategic efforts such as agricultural digitization, strengthening farmer institutions, continuous extension services, and the development of healthy food certification systems are recommended to improve environmental sustainability and increase the economic value of agricultural products.

Abstract

Batujai Dam Reservoir is a vital water resource infrastructure in Central Lombok Regency with significant potential as a sustainable agrotourism destination; however, its development remains suboptimal. This study aims to identify internal and external factors and formulate sustainable agrotourism development strategies in the Batujai Reservoir Area to support environmental conservation, local economic development, and sustainable regional management. A qualitative-descriptive approach with SWOT analysis was employed through in-depth interviews, field observations, and questionnaires directed at local communities and stakeholders. Results indicate that key strengths include the scenic reservoir landscape, local agricultural activities, and strategic positioning as a gateway to the Mandalika Special Economic Zone. Main weaknesses encompass limited tourism infrastructure and low human resource capacity in tourism management. Opportunities include growing trends in educational nature-based tourism and supportive government policies, while the primary threats are environmental degradation and competition from other tourist destinations. The SWOT matrix yielded four strategic groups: SO (integrated agrotourism package development based on local potential), WO (tourism infrastructure development and human resource capacity building), ST (carrying-capacity-based environmental management), and WT (regulatory and institutional strengthening). The priority strategy is integrated agrotourism development emphasizing education, conservation, and local community empowerment. The proposed strategy also promotes sustainable utilization of natural resources, protection of reservoir ecosystem functions, and enhancement of environmental awareness among local communities and visitors. These findings provide empirical contributions to sustainable tourism destination planning in reservoir-based areas across Indonesia.

Abstract

Kebutuhan energi di Indonesia yang terus meningkat masih sangat bergantung pada pembangkit listrik berbasis bahan bakar fosil, khususnya Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Diesel (PLTD), yang berisiko tinggi terhadap lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat akibat emisi pencemar udara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak kualitas udara dari PLTD Ampenan yang berlokasi di Kota Mataram dengan menggunakan model dispersi udara AERMOD. Emisi polutan seperti SO?, NO?, CO, dan TSP disimulasikan dalam skenario musim hujan dan kemarau untuk mengetahui sebaran spasial dan kesesuaiannya terhadap baku mutu udara ambien nasional (PP No. 22 Tahun 2021). Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar polutan masih berada dalam ambang batas aman, kecuali NO? yang melebihi ambang batas harian dan per jam pada beberapa titik, khususnya di kawasan pemukiman yang berada searah angin. Pengukuran kualitas udara ambien di lapangan pada tiga lokasi mendukung hasil simulasi, dan memperkuat temuan bahwa NO? merupakan polutan yang paling mengkhawatirkan. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini merekomendasikan strategi mitigasi emisi yang lebih terfokus serta penguatan kebijakan pengendalian pencemaran udara untuk melindungi kesehatan masyarakat dan mendorong tata kelola energi yang berkelanjutan di kawasan perkotaan.

Abstract

Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (ASGM) di Kecamatan Lantung, Kabupaten Sumbawa, memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap lingkungan, khususnya terhadap kondisi vegetasi dan mineralisasi permukaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi indikasi degradasi lingkungan akibat aktivitas ASGM menggunakan data penginderaan jauh dari satelit Landsat-9. Analisis dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan indeks vegetasi seperti NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index serta indeks oksida besi (Fe-Oxide) melalui rasio spektral band 4/2 dan 4/3. Hasil penggabungan spasial menunjukkan bahwa zona dengan nilai NDVI ≤ 0.1 dan rasio Fe-oxide tinggi terkonsentrasi pada lokasi pertambangan aktif. Temuan ini mengindikasikan tekanan lingkungan kuat terhadap vegetasi, yang dapat digunakan sebagai indikator awal untuk delineasi wilayah risiko. Total area yang teridentifikasi sebagai zona tekanan lingkungan mencapai ±65,33 hektar dari total area studi ±2.278 hektar. Metodologi ini terbukti efektif untuk pemetaan awal dampak ASGM, khususnya di wilayah minim data laboratorium.   Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (ASGM) activities in Lantung District, Sumbawa Regency, have significantly impacted the environment, particularly in terms of vegetation condition and surface mineralization. This study aims to detect early signs of environmental degradation caused by ASGM using remote sensing data from the Landsat-9 satellite. The analysis employed vegetation indices such as NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) along with an iron oxide index derived from spectral band ratios (Band 4/2 and 4/3). Spatial penggabungan results revealed that zones with NDVI values ≤ 0.1 and high Fe-oxide ratios were concentrated around active mining areas. These findings indicate strong environmental pressure on vegetation, which can serve as an early indicator for delineating risk-prone areas. A total of approximately 65.33 hectares out of the 2,278-hectare study area was identified as environmentally stressed. This methodology proves effective for preliminary ASGM impact mapping, especially in data-scarce regions.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan Sustainable Development Goals  (SDGs) dalam perencanaan pembangunan Desa Durian, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, dengan fokus khusus pada aspek pendapatan per kapita masyarakat desa. Metode yang digunakan adalah mixed methods, yang menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif data pendapatan rumah tangga sebelum dan sesudah penerapan SDGs menggunakan paired sample t-test, serta wawancara kualitatif dengan perangkat desa dan masyarakat untuk memperoleh pemahaman lebih mendalam mengenai dampak dan tantangan pelaksanaan SDGs. Hasil analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pendapatan rata-rata rumah tangga dari Rp311.111 pada tahun 2019 menjadi Rp1.050.000 pada tahun 2024 dengan nilai t-hitung sebesar 28,47 dan p-value 0,000 (<0,05). Peningkatan ini mengindikasikan keberhasilan program pembangunan berbasis SDGs, khususnya dalam pengentasan kemiskinan dan pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal. Temuan kualitatif mendukung hasil tersebut dengan menunjukkan peran penting partisipasi masyarakat, penguatan kapasitas kelembagaan, serta sinergi antara pemerintah desa dan berbagai pihak terkait dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi warga. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan pelatihan bagi aparat desa dan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat untuk memperkuat implementasi SDGs di masa mendatang. Dengan demikian, Desa Durian dapat menjadi model keberhasilan pelokalan SDGs yang relevan untuk desa-desa lain di Indonesia.  Abstract:  This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals  (SDGs) in the development planning of Durian Village, Central Lombok Regency, with a specific focus on the per capita income aspect of the village community. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of household income data before and after SDGs implementation using paired sample t-test, alongside qualitative interviews with village officials and residents to gain deeper insights into the impacts and challenges of SDGs implementation. Quantitative results show a significant increase in average household income from IDR 311,111 in 2019 to IDR 1,050,000 in 2024, with a t-value of 28.47 and a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). This increase indicates the success of SDGs-based development programs, particularly in poverty alleviation and local economic empowerment. Qualitative findings support these results, highlighting the crucial roles of community participation, institutional capacity strengthening, and synergy between the village government and related stakeholders in improving residents’ economic welfare. The study recommends enhancing training for village officials and increasing community involvement to further strengthen SDGs implementation in the future. Therefore, Durian Village can serve as a successful model for localizing SDGs that is relevant for other villages across Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kawasan hutan merupakan Kawasan penyangga dan menjadi pengontrol iklim mikro untuk Kawasan disekitarnya serta Kawasan potensial dalam menyimpan keberagaman jenis flora serta fauna. Inventarisasi keberagaman jenis vegetasi pada suatu kawasan bernilai penting sebagai upaya potensial terhadap peningkatan ekonomi serta keberlanjutan ekologis suatu kawasan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi keberagaman jenis vegetasi yang dimiliki oleh KHDTK UMMAT. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode penentuan sampel yaitu purposive random sampling dengan menggunakan 27 plot yang terbagi menjadi 4 kategori pengukuran yaitu 20x20 meter (pohon), 10x10 meter (tiang), 5x5 meter (pancang), dan 2x2 meter (semai). Berdasarkan pengukuran yang dilakukan, didapatkan hasil penelitian bahwa terdapat 49 jenis vegetasi dengan 364 individu vegetasi di KHDTK Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram serta 5 jenis vegetasi terbanyak yaitu mahoni (Switenia mahagoni), nangka (Artucarpus heterophyllus), sonokeling (Dalbergia latifolia), mangga (Mangifera indica) dan aren (Arenga pinnata). Keberagaman jenis vegetasi yang dimiliki di KHDTK Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram memberikan potensi pengembangan baik dalam aspek keberlanjutan ekologis, peningkatan sosial budaya dan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar Kawasan serta mempromosikan keindahan estetika yang dimiliki pada suatu Kawasan yang berdampak pada peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar Kawasan KHDTK.Abstract:  Forest areas are buffer areas and control the microclimate for the surrounding areas as well as potential areas for storing diverse types of flora and fauna. An inventory of the diversity of vegetation types in an area is important as a potential effort to improve the economy and ecological sustainability of an area. The aim of this research is to identify the diversity of vegetation types owned by KHDTK UMMAT. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature with a sample determination method, namely purposive random sampling using 27 plots which are divided into 4 measurement categories, namely 20x20 meters (trees), 10x10 meters (poles), 5x5 meters (saplings), and 2x2 meters (seedlings). Based on the measurements carried out, the research results showed that there were 49 types of vegetation with 364 individual vegetation at the KHDTK Muhammadiyah University of Mataram and the 5 most abundant types of vegetation, namely mahogany (Switenia mahagoni), jackfruit (Artucarpus heterophyllus), rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia), mango (Mangifera indica ) and sugar palm (Arenga pinnata). The diversity of vegetation types at KHDTK Muhammadiyah University of Mataram provides development potential both in the aspects of ecological sustainability, improving the socio-cultural and economic conditions of the community around the area as well as promoting the aesthetic beauty of an area which has an impact on improving the economy of the community around the KHDTK area.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pasca penetapan Sembalun sebagai kawasan perdesaan prioritas berbasis pariwisata melalui Keputusan Bupati Lombok Timur No.100.3.3.2/310/PD/2024 pada tanggal 5 September 2024, sebagai desa tematik dalam RPJMN 2025–2029, kawasan ini mengalami peningkatan jumlah wisatawan yang signifikan. Kondisi ini menyebabkan lonjakan produksi sampah, menimbulkan tantangan serius dalam pengelolaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengelolaan sampah di kawasan Sembalun dengan menggunakan pendekatan Stakeholder Analysis untuk memahami peran, kepentingan, serta hubungan antar pemangku kepentingan. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan aktivitas wisata dan pertumbuhan ekonomi menjadi faktor utama yang memicu peningkatan volume sampah. Analisis pemangku kepentingan mengidentifikasi berbagai kelompok kunci, termasuk pemerintah daerah, masyarakat lokal, pengelola destinasi wisata, pelaku usaha, serta wisatawan. Temuan ini mengungkap adanya perbedaan kepentingan dan peran dalam pengelolaan sampah, yang mempengaruhi efektivitas upaya pengelolaan limbah. Untuk mencapai pengelolaan sampah yang berkelanjutan, diperlukan kolaborasi lintas sektor melalui peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan, pengembangan teknologi pengelolaan sampah, serta penguatan regulasi. Dengan pendekatan yang tepat, pengelolaan sampah di kawasan perdesaan prioritas berbasis pariwisata Sembalun dapat lebih efisien, mendukung kelestarian lingkungan, serta kesejahteraan masyarakat lokal.  Abstract:  Following the designation of Sembalun as a priority rural tourism area through the Lombok Timur Regent's Decree No. 100.3.3.2/310/PD/2024 on September 5, 2024, and its recognition as a thematic village in the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), the area has experienced a significant increase in tourist arrivals. This surge has led to a sharp rise in waste production, presenting a serious challenge for sustainable waste management. This study aims to evaluate waste management in the Sembalun area using the Stakeholder Analysis approach to understand the roles, interests, and relationships among key stakeholders. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques including field observations, documentation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The findings reveal that increased tourism activities and economic growth are the primary drivers of rising waste volumes. Stakeholder analysis identified various key groups, including local government, local communities, tourism operators, business owners, and tourists. The results highlight differences in interests and roles among stakeholders, affecting the effectiveness of waste management efforts. Achieving sustainable waste management requires cross-sector collaboration through enhanced environmental awareness, the development of waste management technologies, and the strengthening of regulations. With the right approach, waste management in the priority rural tourism area of Sembalun can become more efficient, supporting environmental conservation and local community welfare.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembangunan fasilitas infrastruktur, terutama proyek pariwisata seperti Sirkuit Mandalika, mampu menginduksi perubahan yang signifikan pada lingkungan alam setempat, termasuk ekosistem mangrove yang memiliki peran penting. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi perubahan pada luas mangrove, komposisi spesies, dan kondisi keseluruhan dari ekosistem mangrove setelah pembangunan sirkuit. Pendekatan penelitian mencakup analisis Indeks Perbedaan Vegetasi Normal (NDVI) dengan menggunakan data dari satelit Sentinel-2 serta survei lapangan untuk mengumpulkan data empiris. Evaluasi lebih lanjut melibatkan penerapan metode klasifikasi untuk memetakan dan mengidentifikasi variasi kondisi vegetasi. Penekanan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan akurasi identifikasi NDVI dari data Sentinel-2, dengan harapan hasilnya dapat mendukung pemantauan vegetasi, praktik konservasi, dan pengelolaan sumber daya alam. Hasil pengolahan citra Sentinel-2 menunjukkan ekosistem mangrove pada daaerah penelitian semakin berkurang setiap tahunnya. Mangrove cover 2019 = 540004.504 m persegi dibandingkan dengan mangrove cover 2022 = 301232.015 m persegi. Temuan dari penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap dampak pembangunan infrastruktur yang besar terhadap ekosistem mangrove, dan dapat memberikan landasan bagi upaya pelestarian dan manajemen yang berkelanjutan di wilayah tersebut. Implikasi dari temuan ini juga diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar untuk perumusan kebijakan yang mempertimbangkan aspek keberlanjutan dan pelestarian ekosistem mangrove dalam konteks pembangunan regional. Abstract:  The development of infrastructure, particularly tourism projects like the Mandalika Circuit, can bring about significant changes to the local natural environment, including the crucial mangrove ecosystem. This research aims to analyze alterations in mangrove extent, species composition, and overall health of the mangrove ecosystem post-construction of the circuit. The research methodology involves the analysis of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) using data from the Sentinel-2 satellite and field surveys to obtain empirical data. Further analysis includes the application of classification techniques to map and identify various vegetation conditions. The primary goal of this study is to enhance the accuracy of NDVI identification from Sentinel-2 data, with the expectation that the results will support vegetation monitoring, conservation practices, and natural resource management. The findings of this research are anticipated to provide a comprehensive understanding of the impact of significant infrastructure development on the mangrove ecosystem and serve as a basis for sustainable conservation and management efforts in the region. The implications of these findings are also expected to guide the formulation of policies that consider sustainability and preservation aspects of the mangrove ecosystem within the regional development context.
