Abstract

Science and technology is always experiencing dynamics in the form of changes and developments. Industrial revolution 4.0. has brought new technology which is always characterized by cyber physical systems such as artificial intelligence, advance robotics, autonomous vehicles, 3d printing, virtual reality, and crypto currency, and others. The impact of the presence of these new technologies brings major and fundamental changes in various fields of life, including the maritime sector. The industrial revolution 4.0., has given rise to the phenomenon of shifting community activities which were initially carried out in the real world, now carried out in cyberspace. Everything is digital and all activities are done online with the help of internet media. In realizing the vision of the five pillars of PMD through the mastery and development of science and technology, several strategies are needed, including: (1) Building a maritime culture, through efforts: (a) the use and application of smart education technology, (b) carry out a cultural revolution or mental revolution, (c) build and expand internet network access infrastructure that is evenly distributed and reaches all regions of Indonesia. (2) Utilization of Maritime Natural Resources, with strategies, including: (a) Increasing the quantity and quality of exploration and management of natural resources classified as potential recoverable resources. (b) Increase the quantity and quality of exploration and management in the field of natural resources which are classified as potential non-recoverable resources, such as large oil and gas, minerals and mining materials. (c) Improving marine tourism management based on marine natural resources. (3) Development of Maritime Infrastructure and Connectivity, through efforts to prioritize the development of sea highways for inter-island domestic connectivity, by developing port infrastructure, and shipping and navigation safety infrastructure. (4) Improving Maritime Diplomacy, through strategies to strengthen diplomacy in the economic sector, diplomacy in the defense sector, and digital diplomacy. Abstract

Digital learning media is indeed developing and plays an important role in creating a pleasant learning environment that can accommodate students' learning needs. Padlet provides space for students to learn digitally, especially through the activity of writing learning reflections. This research is aimed at finding out students' perspectives on the use of Padlet media to write reflection activities. This study was attended by 50 students in the seventh grade using a qualitative research method in the form of phenomenology design. Data was obtained from questionnaires distributed via Google Form, observations, and interviews. The data obtained from the Google Form is strengthened by conducting interviews, where the purpose of the interviews is to check the consistency of the Google Form results. The finding revealed that students gave positive responses regarding Padlet media. They perceived that Padlet media was easy to use, helped the students to discuss developing ideas and exchange ideas, eliminated boredom, increased the students’ participation in writing reflections, and increased students’ learning motivation. It is concluded that Padlet can serve as an effective digital tool to support reflective learning. Future studies are suggested to investigate Padlet's effectiveness in comparison with other digital platforms or in different educational contexts.

Abstract

Interactive Learning Multimedia is a technological tool that can be effectively utilized as a learning resource. This type of media not only supports the instructional process but also contributes positively to students' learning outcomes. The use of digital platforms enables teachers to express their creativity and tailor their teaching approaches to align with students' learning styles and interests. Implementing Google Sites as a platform for delivering interactive multimedia facilitates more effective learning and enhances students’ understanding of the material. This study aims to describe students’ perceptions of learning procedural texts through Interactive Learning Multimedia based on Google Sites. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological design was employed. Data were gathered through observations of students’ active participation and motivation, along with reflection sheets covering their perceptions, understanding, and evaluations of the media. Data analysis was conducted from the outset of data collection, involving reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that students held highly positive perceptions toward the use of interactive media. They reported feeling happy, interested, and motivated while learning procedural texts through this medium.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of a Gamified Project-Based Learning (PjBL) strategy in enhancing students’ collaboration and creativity skills at SMP Al-Islam Krian Sidoarjo. Although PjBL has been widely implemented to foster 21st-century competencies, challenges remain in sustaining student motivation and engagement during project activities. Gamification through point systems, badges, levels, rewards, and leaderboards offers a potential solution by integrating game elements that stimulate student participation and intrinsic motivation. This study employed a mixed-methods approach with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. A total of 35 respondents were divided into two groups: an experimental group receiving gamified PjBL and a control group receiving conventional PjBL. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments (using a Likert scale of 1–5), observation sheets, student interviews, and rubric-based project assessments. The findings demonstrate a significant increase in collaboration and creativity among students in the experimental group. Quantitative results reveal large effect sizes for both collaboration (d = 1.42) and creativity (d = 1.57), with p 0.001. In contrast, the control group showed only marginal improvements. Qualitative evidence from observations and interviews further indicates heightened engagement, stronger team communication, and increased idea generation among students exposed to gamified PjBL. The study contributes theoretically by enriching the discourse on the integration of gamification in PjBL environments and practically by offering empirical insights for secondary schools seeking to develop more interactive, student-centered pedagogical strategies. The findings underscore the potential of gamified PjBL as a transformative instructional model for cultivating essential 21st-century skills in Indonesian middle schools.
