Abstract

This study aims to optimize the control of agroinput inventory at a company in Indonesia through the integration of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Economic Order Quantity, supplemented by safety stock and reorder points. The research design is quantitative-operational, utilizing historical demand data, ordering costs, storage costs per unit per year, unit prices, and supplier lead times. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis is used to identify and rank failure modes in the warehouse based on severity, probability of occurrence, and detectability to form a Risk Priority Number. The risk findings are then mapped to inventory policy parameters: determining the service level that forms the basis for the safety stock level, setting the reorder point, and evaluating the order frequency through Economic Order Quantity. The results show that integrating the two approaches produces more efficient order sizes, reduces unnecessary ordering frequency, and reduces the potential for stockouts on items with high risk Priority Numbers by adjusting safety stock and reorder points based on service levels. A before-and-after comparison also confirms that ordering and carrying costs can be reduced without compromising the availability of critical materials. Managerial implications include establishing standard ordering procedures per item (economic lot size, reorder point, and review period), periodically reviewing ordering and carrying cost parameters, and integrating the Risk Priority Number metric into the inventory control system. This study provides practical contributions to strengthening inventory management in the agro-industry sector.

Abstract

Adolescents are a group that is highly vulnerable to risky sexual behaviors. One of the factors influencing such behaviors is communication between parents and children. Good communication can serve as a protective factor against unhealthy sexual behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of parent–child communication on risky sexual behavior among adolescents, as well as its differences based on gender. The study employed an analytical quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 120 male and female adolescents selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation and Independent t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a significant negative correlation between parental communication and risky sexual behavior (r = –0.65; p < 0.001). The better the communication between parents and adolescents, the lower the level of risky sexual behavior. Gender differences were also observed, where female adolescents demonstrated higher communication scores and lower risky sexual behavior compared to males (p < 0.001). Effective communication between parents and children plays a crucial role in preventing risky sexual behaviors among adolescents. Strengthening family communication through reproductive health education programs involving active parental participation is essential.

Abstract

Context and meaning formation are crucial to functional linguistics, especially literary texts. Using language within texts and meanings drawn from textual units to form interpretations, this essay examines this dynamic. Based on systemic-functional linguistics (SFL), the exploration stresses language's flexibility and ability to connect micro and macro textual elements. The study uses Halliday's context description as a fluid, ever-changing construct to analyse how context influences and reshapes meaning through meaning-making. The structure explains the context, analyses lexicogrammatical selections and patterns, and applies these theoretical descriptions to literary narratives. The study examines fictive narratives, integrates socio-semantic theory to show how context works in diverse literary settings, and reflects on SFL in literary studies. According to functional linguistics, literary interpretation is based on the fundamental processes that shape literary texts. So that understanding related to language constructing meaning in literature by using genre-specific frameworks, digital humanities tools, cross-cultural studies, interdisciplinary collaborations, and dynamic socio-cultural contexts can be better and these methods will illuminate the broad and complex realm of literary expression

Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is a significant public health concern that contributes to maternal morbidity, adverse pregnancy outcomes, and neonatal complications. This study aimed to analyze the effects of the interpregnancy interval and adherence to iron–folic acid (IFA) tablet use on the incidence of anemia among pregnant women. A cross-sectional analytic survey was conducted in Tanjung Sari District, Lampung, Indonesia, involving 114 pregnant women selected through purposive random sampling from a total population of 334, including pregnant women aged 18–45 years in the first or second trimester, with at least one previous pregnancy, complete ANC records, and willingness to participate. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, anthropometric measurements, and documentation review. Anemia was assessed based on hemoglobin levels, while interpregnancy interval and IFA adherence were measured using standardized tools. Bivariate analysis was performed using the chi-square test, and multivariate analysis employed logistic regression to identify predictive factors. Results revealed that 40.4% of respondents were anemic. Pregnant women with an interpregnancy interval of less than 24 months were more likely to experience anemia compared to those with an interval of 24 months or more (p = 0.002). In addition, poor adherence to IFA tablet consumption was strongly associated with a higher prevalence of anemia (p<0.001). Logistic regression confirmed both interpregnancy interval and IFA adherence as significant predictors of anemia. Maintaining an optimal interpregnancy interval and improving adherence to IFA supplementation are critical strategies to prevent anemia during pregnancy.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the influence of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) based on Islamic Education on the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in elementary schools within the Panglima Sulung Cluster, Tembilahan. Method: The research employed a quantitative correlational approach involving 196 respondents, consisting of teachers and students from SDN 001 Tembilahan Kota and SDN 002 Tembilahan. Result: The findings reveal a positive and significant relationship between Islamic Education–based SEL and the implementation of the Independent Curriculum (r = 0.672; p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.451) indicates that 45.1% of the variance in the successful implementation of the Independent Curriculum is influenced by the application of Islamic value–based SEL. The integration of values such as sincerity (ikhlas), patience (sabr), trustworthiness (amanah), brotherhood (ukhuwah), and justice (‘adl) has been shown to support differentiated learning and strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile. Conclusion: This study confirms that Islamic Education–based SEL plays a strategic role in enhancing the effectiveness of the Independent Curriculum. Practically, these findings recommend the systematic integration of Islamic social-emotional and spiritual learning into the planning and implementation of teaching and learning processes in elementary schools.
