Abstract

Social conflicts between religions continue to emerge in society, becoming a hot topic in every corner of the country. Many of these highlights have linked the world of education, which should produce a golden generation and high levels of moderation, to turning into a factory producing the seeds of religious blasphemy, terrorism, and suicide bombings. In this case, the most effective and efficient means to ward off these problems is to develop an attitude of religious moderation among the surrounding community. The purpose of this study is to describe experiential learning in the context of creating an attitude of religious moderation at MI Darut Taqwa Pasuruan. This study employs a qualitative approach by using a descriptive method that integrates parsipatif observations, wawancara, and documentation to gather data from teachers, students, and dormitory administrators. The findings of this research highlight the process of forming an attitude of religious moderation through experiential learning at MI Darut Taqwa Pasuruan with interfaith students contributes well; the attitude of religious moderation in madrasas is carried out through daily habits and has positive values ​​that can be applied in forming a moderate attitude among students who in accordance with the practice of the Qur’an and Hadist.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In the digital era, school principals are expected not only to manage educational institutions but also to drive change by fostering a professional learning environment for teachers. This condition can be observed at SMAN 1 Purwosari, where various leadership strategies have been implemented to strengthen the competencies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers. This study explores how leadership innovation is translated into school management practices and examines its contribution to teacher competency development. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation as the primary sources of data. The investigation focused on identifying teachers’ needs, implementing competency development programs, conducting instructional supervision, integrating educational technology, and evaluating ongoing initiatives. The findings reveal that teacher competency development was carried out through a planned and participatory leadership approach involving multiple stakeholders. Key innovations included needs-based planning, collaborative decision-making, continuous academic supervision, professional training programs, and the integration of digital media into classroom instruction. These initiatives contributed to improvements in the pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies of PAI teachers. In addition, the application of active learning methods and digital technologies created more interactive, contextual, and engaging learning experiences for students. Nevertheless, greater variation in instructional strategies remains necessary to further enhance student participation. Overall, the study highlights leadership innovation as a strategic factor in strengthening teacher competencies and improving the quality of learning within the school environment. ABSTRAK Dinamika pendidikan pada era digital menempatkan kepala sekolah tidak hanya sebagai pengelola lembaga, tetapi juga sebagai penggerak perubahan yang mampu menciptakan lingkungan belajar profesional bagi guru. Kondisi tersebut terlihat di SMAN 1 Purwosari, di mana berbagai strategi kepemimpinan dikembangkan untuk memperkuat kompetensi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Kajian ini menelusuri bagaimana inovasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah diwujudkan dalam praktik pengelolaan sekolah serta dampaknya terhadap pengembangan kompetensi guru. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi sebagai sumber utama pengumpulan data. Fokus pengamatan diarahkan pada pemetaan kebutuhan guru, pelaksanaan program pengembangan kompetensi, supervisi pembelajaran, penggunaan teknologi pendidikan, dan evaluasi program yang telah berjalan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kompetensi guru dilaksanakan melalui pola kepemimpinan yang terencana dan melibatkan berbagai pihak. Bentuk inovasi yang menonjol mencakup perencanaan berbasis kebutuhan, pengambilan keputusan secara kolaboratif, supervisi akademik yang berkelanjutan, penyelenggaraan pelatihan profesional, serta pemanfaatan media digital dalam proses pembelajaran. Implementasi berbagai langkah tersebut berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian guru PAI. Dampak lain yang terlihat adalah terciptanya pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, kontekstual, dan menarik melalui penerapan metode aktif serta integrasi teknologi digital. Meskipun demikian, pengembangan variasi strategi pembelajaran masih diperlukan untuk mendorong partisipasi siswa yang lebih optimal. Dengan demikian, inovasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah menjadi unsur strategis dalam penguatan kompetensi guru sekaligus peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

This study is motivated by Generation Z’s vulnerability to digital radicalization, religious disinformation, and global conflicts in cyberspace, thereby necessitating the reconstruction of a digital Islamic Religious Education (IRE) program that is technologically adaptive, rooted in local wisdom, and focused on strengthening cyber ethics. This research aims to formulate an integrative digital PAI model based on local wisdom and cyber ethics, as well as to analyze its effectiveness in building Generation Z’s multicultural awareness, digital responsibility, and reflective capacity as agents of peace. The study employed a qualitative design at SMKN 1 Purwosari through in-depth interviews with Islamic education experts, digital literacy activists, and students, supplemented by a systematic literature review. The findings indicate that, first, Generation Z exhibits specific vulnerabilities to digital radicalization stemming from generational characteristics, the digital ecosystem, and gaps in critical digital literacy. Second, the integration of local Islamic wisdom from the Nusantara region with cyber ethics in digital Islamic education is not only possible but also effective through an integrative model encompassing the pillars of digital moderation, communication ethics, information verification, digital responsibility, and digital harmony. Third, the implementation of this synergistic model has proven significant in enhancing cultural awareness, digital responsibility, and competencies as peace agents among Generation Z. Abstract

This study aims to examine the planning, implementation, and impact of Edpuzzle-based digital media on improving students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a field research design. The participants consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers and tenth-grade vocational high school students. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The validity of the data was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings revealed that the planning stage included preparing learning materials, selecting instructional videos, creating digital classrooms, and designing interactive questions integrated into the videos. The implementation of Edpuzzle-based learning successfully created a more interactive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment. The use of Edpuzzle also contributed positively to students’ learning outcomes, as indicated by increased participation, stronger learning motivation, better understanding of learning materials, and improved evaluation results. These findings imply that Edpuzzle can serve as an innovative and effective digital learning medium in Islamic Religious Education.
