Abstract

Depression, according to Beck and Alford (2009), is a psychological disorder characterized by deviations in feelings, cognition, and individual behavior. Individuals who experience depressive disorders can feel sad and alone, have decreased self-concept, and show withdrawal behavior from their environment. Not all teenagers succeed in going through the changes that occur during the transition period well; some of them even begin to experience a lot of unpleasant incidents. The uncertainty of adolescents in dealing with various kinds of life conflicts can be one of the factors that causes the potential risk of adolescents experiencing depression to increase. Depression is generally not detected early on and is only discovered after several conflicts occur, including suicide, which is the third leading cause of death in adolescents. The purpose of this study was to find out the attitudes that are signs of depression that occur in adolescents and the problems that accompany them. Some of the attitudes that were the most common signs of depression experienced by research subjects included difficulty concentrating, loss of interest in activities, relatively drastic changes in body weight, and insomnia all night. Meanwhile, the problems experienced by both research subjects, who still have the potential to experience depression, are mostly related to dissatisfaction with appearance, poor academic achievement, receiving unpleasant treatment from other people, both friends and parents, as well as problematic relationships between parents.

Abstract

Menstruation is the beginning of a woman's puberty period where in menstruation there is regular decay of the endometrial layer. This occurs due to complex interactions between the hormone system and several organs of the body, namely the hypothalamus, pituitary, ovaries, and uterus. There are several indicators that can affect the menstrual cycle, namely body mass, anxiety levels, intensity of physical activity, dietary behavior, environmental exposure and work conditions. Physical activity with heavy intensity can affect reproductive hormones, thus affecting the irregular menstrual cycle. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of physical activity on the menstrual cycle of female students of UIN North Sumatra in 2023. Research methods used quantitative methods with quantitative descriptive analysis through a cross-sectional approach. Data were analyzed by univariate test and chi-square test. The instrument of this research is google form. The results obtained from this study were that there was a significant relationship between physical activity and the menstrual cycle because based on the results of the chi-square test, the p-value was 0.010 <0.05. In addition, 47.5% of female students with irregular menstrual cycles and as many as 52.5% were regular. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the intensity of physical activity of female students of UIN North Sumatra 2023 can affect the menstrual cycle itself.

Abstract

Health development is an effort to increase awareness, willingness and ability to live healthily so as to achieve optimal health status. In creating a healthy life for the community, many things need to be done, including health services. Minimum Service Standards are quality service provisions that are minimally implemented by local governments with a target of achieving 100% SPM annually. This study used a qualitative research method using a case study design (Case Study). This study aims to explore in depth matters related to the currently unachieved indicators of maternal and child health programs in coastal areas. Maternal and child health service programs in coastal communities are very important to improve maternal and child health in the area. Coastal communities often face unique health challenges, such as limited access to health services, poor sanitation, and a high prevalence of communicable diseases. Maternal and child health service programs can help address this challenge by providing access to essential health services, such as prenatal care, delivery services, and postnatal care. These programs can also provide education and support to mothers and families on topics such as nutrition, breastfeeding, and child development.

Abstract

Chronic disease is one of the main causes of death in Indonesia. According to data from the North Sumatra Provincial Health Office for 2019, the prevalence of high blood pressure in Central Tapanuli Regency is 97.71%. Identify the implementation of the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) in hypertension at the Sipea-Pea Public Health Center. This research is qualitative by using a case study strategy. The research subjects were 18 informants who were selected using a purposive technique. Data analysis was carried out based on inductive logic obtained from in-depth interviews. Qualitative data is presented in the form of narratives and tables. The coverage of prolanis program compliance can be seen from the contact rate indicator that has not been reached by the Sipea-pea Health Center with a contact rate ratio of 108 per mil and an indicator for the ratio of prolanis participants who routinely visit only up to the standard safe zone, namely 69 percent due to lack of socialization regarding prolanis. The health center limits prolanis participation because of doubts in controlling regular visits every month. The health center holds prolanis activities that are not routinely carried out, namely gymnastics and home visits. It is necessary to procure training to improve the skills of officers and update knowledge. Patient compliance needs to increase awareness by carrying out educational activities to the puskesmas area on a regular basis.
