Abstract

The growing number of elderly population in Indonesia demands attention to their quality of life, especially in terms of healthy lifestyle and physical activity. This study aims to explore the elderly's perspective on healthy lifestyle and physical activity behaviors from a socio-cultural context. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations of 12 elderly people from two different cultural communities (coastal village and mountain village). The results showed that the elderly's perception of health tends to be passive and influenced by cultural values and past life experiences. Physical activities carried out are more socially and spiritually meaningful, such as mutual cooperation and attending religious studies, compared to formal sports such as elderly gymnastics which are considered culturally foreign. In addition, the role of family and social environment has a significant influence on the behavior of the elderly in maintaining diet and health. These findings emphasize the importance of a health promotion approach that is sensitive to local cultural and social contexts, as well as the need to involve families and communities in elderly health interventions.

Abstract

The current retail business competition in Indonesia is very tight, as evidenced by the number of retailers that are widely spread throughout Indonesia both local, national and international. Indonesia is one of the countries that has a high level of consumption of retail goods. The pattern of consumer behavior that can be found when in a retail store is to make spontaneous and unplanned purchases referred to as impulse purchases. The purpose of the study was to determine how much influence discounts and product arrangements in the store have on impulse purchases at MR.DIY Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This research is a quantitative study using primary data from 100 respondents at MR.DIY consumers in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The data analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the discount variable has no significant effect on impulse purchases, while product arrangement in the store has a significant effect on impulse purchases.

Abstract

The agribusiness-based agricultural extension program in Tanete Village, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, focuses on improving agricultural productivity, management, and marketing through a holistic and participatory approach. Through this initiative, farmers are empowered to adopt the latest agricultural technologies, implement adaptive farming practices, and expand product diversification. The results of the program show significant improvements in production yields, income, and agricultural resilience against climate change and market dynamics. Partnerships with the government and financial institutions also provide strategic support in local economic development and the sustainability of agricultural enterprises in Tanete Village.

Abstract

Pemerintah Daerah tampaknya memiliki masalah dalam upaya mengantisipasi bencana khususnya dalam dukungan sarana sistem tekonlogi dan komunikasi. Akibatnya terjadi jatuhnya korban jiwa dalam jumlah besar yang senantiasa terulang kembali tiap kali bencana alam datang. Urgensi dari penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan penggunaan teknologi informasi dan manajemen riset yang berkelanjutan sebagai upaya pengurangan risiko bencana di Kabupaten Bima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan pengoperasian Pusat Pengendalian Operasi (Pusdolops) telah memberikan peningkatan kinerja dalam penanganan bencana oleh Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Bima. Dengan ketersediaan seperangkat alat komunikasi berupa monitor mondopad dan radio komunikasi yang digunakan untuk berkoordinasi dalam penangan bencana di daerah ke BNPB. Selain itu juga dilengkapi beberapa unit komputer untuk verifikasi dan pengolahan data kebencanaan. Juga ketersediaan alat pendeteksi longsor dan gempa yang telah memadai.Selain itu sebagai upaya mengurangi risiko bencana yang terjadi BPBD juga berupaya melaksanakan riset yang berkelanjutan untuk perubahan jangka panjang yang berfokus pada pergeseran paradigma untuk pengurangan risiko bencana yang lebih efektif. Hasil riset tersebut kemudian disosialisasikan dan diseminasi, serta simulasi tanggap bencana di kampus maupun sekolah-sekolah bi Kabupaten Bima dengan melibatkan NGO internasional. Selain itu publikasi hasil riset dapat dijadikan panduan untuk pengurangan kerentanan dengan melakukan mitigasi struktural maupun nonstruktural. Upaya dasar yang dapat dilakukan dengan pemberdayaan hasil riset terapan baik dari perguruan tinggi maupun penelitian yang berkaitan penanggulangan bencana. Salah satunya melalui kajian rasio perbandingan investasi (cost benefit analys) terhadap setiap fase penanggulangan bencana.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the 1focusing on aspects of responsiveness and accountability. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The study population includes all employees of the Inspectorate and Regional Government Organizations (OPD) in Sidenreng Rappang Regency, with the sample selected using purposive sampling techniques. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of the Sidenreng Rappang Inspectorate's oversight has been well-executed, demonstrated through indicators of responsiveness such as the ability to respond to the public, speed, accuracy, timeliness in service, and complaint handling. The accountability aspect is also proven effective based on the Government Agency Performance Report (LKjIP), which serves as a reference in achieving the Inspectorate's vision and mission, as well as the preparation of performance-based accountability reports. However, the study also identified several challenges, including limited human resources and the lack of public dissemination of oversight documents. These results explain that the Sidenreng Rappang Regency Inspectorate is effective in its role as an internal supervisor, transitioning from its initial function as a watchdog to now functioning as a mentor, consultant, early warning system, and quality assurance. However, continuous efforts are needed to enhance capacity and oversight effectiveness to support better governance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Kaizen concept implementation on production cost control among micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the food and beverage sector in Pangkajenne City, and to investigate the mediating role of financial literacy. One of the persistent issues faced by MSMEs is weak cost control due to inadequate cost recording and management practices. The Kaizen approach, which emphasizes continuous and incremental improvement, is expected to enhance cost efficiency. However, its effectiveness is believed to be maximized when supported by sufficient financial literacy. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, and data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS). Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 97 food and beverage MSME owners operating container-based outlets in Pangkajenne. The results reveal that: (1) Kaizen implementation has a positive and significant effect on production cost control; (2) financial literacy also has a positive and significant effect on production cost control; and (3) financial literacy significantly mediates the relationship between Kaizen implementation and production cost control. These findings suggest that achieving optimal cost efficiency requires not only consistent application of Kaizen practices but also strengthening financial literacy among MSME actors.

Abstract

Kesehatan reproduksi merupakan aspek kesehatan yang penting dalam mempengaruhi kesejahteraan fisik, mental dan sosial seseorang. Media promosi kesehatan yang dikembangkan berfokus pada penyebaran informasi yang akurat dan mudah dipahami mengenai kesehatan reproduksi, dengan pendekatan yang interaktif dan berbasis teknologi. Video yang dikembangkan oleh masing-masing mahasiswa memiliki topik dan tema yang saat ini menjadi isu terkait kesehatan reproduksi dengan tagline yang disesuaikan agar informasi tersebut menjadi menarik. Media promosi yang dibuat dalam bentuk video kemudian disebr melalui media sosial dan media massa sehingga mudah diakses oleh khalayak khususnya komunitas yang resisten. Kesimpulannya adalah pengembangan media promosi kesehatan reproduksi ini berhasil secara efektif dalam meningkatkan pastisipasi mahasiswa dalam pemberdayaan komunitas, serta memberikan konstribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kesehatan reproduksi dikalangan masyarakat.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada tim futsal SMPN 1 Polewali mengenai sinyal wasit berbasis adobe flash. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara pelatihan dan sosialisasi dengan mengadakan sosialisasi sinyal wasit berbasis adobe flash, Peserta dapat menerima materi dengan bersemangat dan kemauan yang besar sehingga materi dapat diserap oleh seluruh peserta dengan baik sehingga Hal ini juga memberikan dampak pada peningkatan kapasistas siswa SMPN 1 Polewali dalam pertandingan futsal.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat Desa Bonto Kio sebagai aktivis desa dalam upaya mengurangi angka stunting melalui pendekatan berbasis budaya lokal. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh mitra adalah peningkatan kasus stunting dari 13 menjadi 18 dalam setahun terakhir, yang dipicu oleh pola asuh yang tidak tepat, gizi buruk, sanitasi yang buruk, serta kurangnya pengetahuan dan akses terhadap layanan kesehatan. Metode implementasi menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dengan penyusunan buku panduan berjudul “Generasi Sehat Tanpa Stunting”, pelatihan bagi kader desa, konseling gizi, bantuan bagi ibu hamil dan balita, serta pendirian pos pemantauan gizi dan kebun gizi keluarga. Hasil layanan masyarakat menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas 20 kader desa, distribusi buku panduan kepada lebih dari 100 keluarga, pendirian pos pemantauan gizi dan kebun gizi, serta pengembangan modul pendidikan berdasarkan budaya lokal. Terdapat indikasi penurunan angka stunting dari 18 menjadi 12 kasus dalam kurang dari setahun. Kegiatan pelayanan masyarakat ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi gizi, memperkuat peran keluarga, dan mendorong kesadaran kolektif dalam pencegahan stunting berdasarkan kebijaksanaan lokal

Abstract

Phytoremediation utilizes metal-trapping plants to recover water as the main source of contamination, Pistia Stratiotes L. is a hyperaccumulator plant that is considered capable of reducing hexavalent chromium levels in wastewater. This is evidenced by the results obtained on each of the variables investigated, namely the effect of contact time and the number of plants. Where, the effect of contact time on the most optimal reduction in hexavalent chromium concentration on day 10 is 22.55 mg/ L with an efficiency value of 54.89 %. While the effect of the number of plants on the reduction in the most optimal metal concentration was found in the first reactor with the number of plants 4, chromium concentration was 23.16 mg/ L with an efficiency value of 54.89%. This means that the longer the phytoremediation process will affect the decrease in chromium levels in waste samples but has no effect on the number of plants used if the plant mass is not calculated before treatment. The recommended kinetic models for phytoremediation systems using P. Stratiotes L plants are Richard's Pseudo First Order and Pseudo Second Order. However, when viewed from the prediction value and experimental data, Pseudo Second Order Kinetic Models are considered suitable to describe the phenomenon that occurs in this study, with an SSE value of 1.0042 and a reaction rate constant of 1.1662 day-1 to 1.5623 day-1.
