Abstract

Village Funds are funds sourced from the State Budget transferred through the district and city budgets used to finance the implementation of government, implementation of development, and community development. Based on Law No. 6 of 2014, village development management begins with planning, implementation, and supervision. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Village Fund policy on community empowerment and infrastructure development in Maggenrang Village, Kahu District, Bone Regency. Using qualitative methods through observation and interviews, the results of the study indicate that the use of village funds is still not optimal. Community empowerment is still focused on the agricultural sector through the formation of farmer groups and the distribution of rice seeds, while other sectors such as skills training and small business development have not been developed much. In terms of infrastructure, the construction of roads, embankments, and irrigation channels has provided real benefits for mobility, agriculture, and citizen security, although equitable development and fulfillment of socio-spiritual needs have not been fully achieved. The effectiveness of the use of village funds in Maggenrang Village requires a balance between physical development and community empowerment programs so that development results are more sustainable and equitable. Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is a significant non-communicable disease that remains a public health concern in Indonesia, especially in urban areas like Makassar. Pharmacological treatment often faces adherence challenges due to side effects and economic limitations. Non-pharmacological interventions such as deep breathing relaxation techniques offer a simple, low-cost, and effective alternative to manage blood pressure. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of educational interventions on deep breathing relaxation techniques in reducing blood pressure among hypertensive patients at Tamalanrea Jaya Public Health Center, Makassar. Methods: This case study used a descriptive design involving two female hypertensive patients aged 59 and 60. The intervention consisted of deep breathing relaxation therapy administered over three days, accompanied by structured health education on proper breathing techniques. Blood pressure was measured before and after each session. Results: Before the intervention, respondent 1 had a blood pressure of 160/120 mmHg, and respondent 2 had 170/120 mmHg. After three sessions of deep breathing relaxation, their blood pressure reduced to 130/90 mmHg and 140/90 mmHg, respectively. Both respondents reported improved comfort, relaxation, and adherence due to the simplicity and flexibility of the technique. Conclusion: The results indicate that deep breathing relaxation techniques, combined with structured education, effectively lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients. This method is practical, non-invasive, and can be performed independently at home. It is recommended as a complementary approach in primary health care settings to help manage hypertension and reduce the risk of complications

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic role of the shipping agent, specifically PT. Naval Global Trans Belawan Branch, in ensuring the smooth flow of the maritime logistics chain. The shipping agent functions as a crucial intermediary coordinating contasiner distribution, bridging the interests of cargo owners, shipping companies, and the Belawan Port authority. The research utilizes a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection performed through field observation and documentary study within the Belawan Port environment. The findings identify that the shipping agent holds broad responsibilities, commencing with container booking according to the required type and size, scheduling vessel arrivals and departures, managing customs and port documentation, and monitoring container movements (from the depot to loading onto the vessel). This role is highly instrumental in determining port throughput efficiency. However, in carrying out its functions, the shipping agent encounters several significant challenges. These constraints include limited container availability, disruptions in the port information system which is not yet optimally integrated, and dynamic changes in export-import regulations. These obstacles potentially cause operational delays and an increase in logistics costs. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of better information technology integration between the shipping agent and the port authority. Furthermore, enhancing the quality of human resources (HR) through training and certification is key to ensuring that agents can respond to regulatory changes and operational challenges quickly and professionally.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with many islands, making Indonesia one of the maritime countries in the world. Indonesia also has many forests spread across all the islands in Indonesia. A forest is a place that grows various types of plants and various types of animals in it. Forests in Indonesia are so vast that they are the largest source of oxygen production in the world. One of the problems of island countries is abrasion. Abrasion is a process that causes the erosion of the shoreline caused by waves and sea currents. Abrasion can be prevented, one way is by planting mangrove trees around the shoreline to reduce the occurrence of abrasion. Mangrove forests are forests located on the coast of Lontar and in estuaries with brackish water. The mangrove forest ecosystem is one of the most productive and unique ecosystems which functions to protect coastal areas from various disturbances, as well as providing habitat for various animal species. Mangrove forests not only function physically, chemically and biologically to maintain the balance of the ecosystem, but also have social, economic and cultural functions for the coastal communities of Lontar villages who inhabit them. As one of the most productive ecosystems, mangrove forests cannot be separated from being used for human benefit
