Abstract

The intention of Indonesian youth to work abroad, particularly in Australia, has continued to increase. This phenomenon is influenced by push factors in the home country, such as limited job opportunities and high unemployment rates, as well as pull factors from the destination country, including opportunities for international experience, higher wages, and better career prospects. This research aims to explain the effects of push factors and pull factors toward the intention to work abroad to Australia among Indonesian youth, with career adaptability as a moderating variable. Adopting a quantitative design supported by a survey technique, involving 150 respondents aged 18–30 years selected through purposive sampling (Hair et al., 2019). Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and subsequently examined through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) employing SmartPLS software. The analytical procedure comprised assessment of the measurement model (including convergent validity, discriminant validity, and construct reliability) as well as evaluation of the structural model (R², Q² predictive relevance, and path coefficients). The analysis confirms a significant positive effect of push and pull factors on the intention to work abroad. However, career adaptability does not moderate these relationships, suggesting that structural conditions and external opportunities play a more dominant role than individual career adaptability.

Abstract

Zakat has role strategic in distribution wealth and empowerment social, as well as potential support the development agenda sustainable development (SDGs) through draft green zakat. Although its potential big, realization zakat collection in Indonesia is still low. This study aims to analyze influence environmental concern to intention pay green zakat with integrate Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. Through approach quantitative PLS-SEM on 222 respondents, this study tested variables Subjective norm, attitude, and perceived behavioral control. Research results show that subjective norms, attitudes, and perceptions behavioral control influential positive and significant to intention pay green zakat. Meanwhile, environmental concerns No influential direct to intention, but rather through mediation full (full mediation) by variables attitude and perceived behavioral control. This finding confirms that concern ecological zakat payer new will transform become intention real If supported by attitude positive and perception convenience access technical. In conclusion, the success green zakat in Indonesia is not only depends on awareness environment society, but also on the ability institution in build literacy sustainability as well as provide infrastructure inclusive services to reduce obstacle behavior muzaki.

Abstract

The fast-paced work environment and project-related pressures in the creative agency sector may increase the risk of burnout among Generation Z employees. This study aimed to examine the effects of work-life balance (WLB) and workload on burnout, with work stress as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey of 200 Generation Z employees working in creative agencies in Indonesia, selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicated that WLB had a negative and significant effect on work stress (β = -0.575; p < 0.001), whereas workload had a positive and significant effect on work stress (β = 0.502; p < 0.001). Workload and work stress also had positive and significant effects on burnout (β = 0.312; p < 0.01; β = 0.489; p < 0.001), while WLB did not have a significant direct effect on burnout (β = -0.124; p > 0.137). In addition, work stress mediated the relationships between WLB, workload, and burnout. These findings suggest that burnout among Generation Z employees in creative agencies is primarily shaped by work stress arising from excessive job demands, highlighting the importance of managing workload and promoting work-life balance to reduce burnout risk.
