Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan wabah penyakit yang menyerang hewan ternak dan unggas pada musim pancaroba di desa Udiworowatu. Perubahan musim berdampak pada kesehatan ternak dan unggas. Meskipun penggunaan bahan-bahan alami atau herbal telah lama digunakan untuk meningkatkan stamina terutama pada musim hujan, akan tetapi belum ada hasil yang maksimal. Oleh karena itu, ditawarkan solusi berupa pengolahan jamu ternak dan unggas yang dapat meminimalisir terserangnya wabah penyakit pada ternak dan unggas. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk membantu masyarakat desa Udiworowatu dalam menangani wabah penyakit yang menyerang hewan ternak dan unggas. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara dan pendampingan pembuatan jamu bagi masyarakat desa Udiworowatu oleh peserta KKN. Bahan jamu terdiri dari 10 jenis yang diolah lalu difermentasikan selama 1 minggu. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan dampak yang positif terbukti dari adanya perubahan kesehatan pada hewan ternak dan unggas. Berdasarkan sampel yang diberikan, sebelum menggunakan jamu ternak kondisi ayam kurang sehat, nafsu makan berkurang, dan mudah mengantuk. Namun, setelah diberikan jamu, kesehatan ayam mulai meningkat dan nafsu makan bertambah. Dari hasil pengisian angket, diketahui juga bahwa tingkat pemahaman masyarakat terkait pengolahan jamu semakin meningkat pada awalnya dari 50% menjadi 70%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman masyarakat setelah mahasiswa melakukan pendampingan semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim mahasiswa Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) angkatan 6 untuk mentransformasi lahan mini menjadi kebun hortikultura inovatif di Sekolah Dasar Kristen (SDK) Boba, Desa Boba. Melalui langkah-langkah seperti identifikasi tanaman yang sesuai, pembenahan lahan, desain kebun, dan pelibatan aktif mahasiswa, siswa, dan guru, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap kebutuhan pangan lokal. Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi rutin memastikan keberhasilan implementasi dan menciptakan dasar untuk perbaikan berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, transformasi lahan mini di SDK Boba bukan hanya menciptakan kebun produktif, tetapi juga menjadi model inspiratif bagi sekolah-sekolah sekitarnya dalam mempromosikan keberlanjutan dan ekosistem seimbang melalui pendekatan praktis dan kolaboratif.

Abstract

TThe purpose of this research is to improve science learning outcomes and improve the learning process by modifying the learning pattern that has so far only been monotonous for teachers so that it becomes independent learning based on student initiatives using the practicum method in class IV on grafting material. The research technique used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), with the research subjects being 14 class IV students of UPTD SDI Ngoramawo. The data collection tool uses tests, with analysis techniques using interactive analysis techniques. The results of this classroom action research can be concluded that learning science on the material of Plant Propagation, especially in grafting using the practicum method in class IV can improve student learning outcomes and can improve the learning process, this is evidenced by the results of student learning outcomes, it can be seen that the average acquisition value in cycle 1 is 50.71 then in cycle 2 increased to 85

Abstract

This study aims to describe the science learning media based on scientific literacy on the simple respiratory system material at SDI Pemana. The low scientific literacy at SDI Pemana causes students to be less responsive to developments and problems that occur in the surrounding environment, especially those related to natural phenomena. The type of research used in this study is the ADDIE research and development model which consists of five stages, namely (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects in this study were 30 fifth grade students. The sample in this study was taken as a total sample (total sampling), where all fifth grade students were used as respondents in the trial of science literacy-based science learning media. The results of the study conducted at SDI Pemana showed that science literacy-based science learning media on the digestive system material was very feasible to be used in science learning. The feasibility of this product was analyzed through a validation process by material experts and media experts, and reinforced by the results of field trials that showed a positive response from students and teachers to the use of the media in learning activities. Based on the research conducted related to the development of science learning media based on scientific literacy on simple respiratory system material at SDI Pemana which has been carried out, it can be concluded that the development of this learning media has been successful and very useful in improving students' scientific literacy at SDI Pemana

Abstract

The aim of providing assistance in making ecobricks ia as an effort to reduce the plastic waste at SDK Wolowio which is scattered around the school environment. This activity involved class V students from SDK Wolowio and 5 teaching campus students from STKIP Citra Bakti. The method used is mentoring. The results that were obtained after carrying out the assistance activity in making ecobricks were that the problem of waste was handled well because with this assistance, each homeroom teacher also started collecting plastic waste to make ecobricks for seats in their respective lasses. It is important to continue carrying out this activity to continue to train students’ character who cares about the environment.

Abstract

The digital transformation in education necessitates that physics teachers possess the ability to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process to enhance students’ motivation and active engagement. Nevertheless, in Ngada Regency, junior high school physics teachers continue to encounter challenges in effectively utilizing online learning platforms. This community engagement program aimed to enhance the digital competence of physics teachers through structured training and mentoring on the use of digital learning platforms, including Google Classroom, Canvas, Padlet, Kahoot!, Nearpod, and Genially. The program was implemented in collaboration with six partner schools using a combination of workshops and mentoring approaches. The findings indicate a substantial improvement in teachers’ digital literacy and self-efficacy in designing technology-enhanced physics instruction. On average, post-test scores increased by 37%, all participants acknowledged the program’s benefits, and the majority expressed readiness to regularly adopt digital platforms in their teaching practices. This program offers a strategic model for capacity building among teachers in regions confronting challenges in the digital transformation of education.

Abstract

Motivation plays a pivotal role in shaping students’ engagement and achievement, particularly in subjects such as physics that are often perceived as difficult and abstract. Numerous studies have shown that low motivation among junior high school students contributes to poor performance and limited participation. This highlights the urgency of innovative instructional approaches that can foster interest and persistence. Gamification has emerged as a promising solution, with platforms such as Kahoot! providing interactive features designed to increase student engagement through competition, feedback, and collaboration. The objective of this study was to examine the effectiveness of Kahoot!-based gamification in enhancing students’ learning motivation in physics, measured comprehensively using Keller’s ARCS model (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction). A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach was employed, involving 175 eighth-grade students from six junior high schools in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Data were collected through a validated ARCS-based motivation questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, effect size calculation, and normalized gain (N-Gain). The findings revealed a significant increase in students’ motivation, with overall scores rising from 3.15 to 4.10, a large effect size (r = 0.85), and a medium N-Gain (0.51). The greatest improvement occurred in attention, while satisfaction increased the least. These results confirm that Kahoot! effectively improves multiple dimensions of motivation and demonstrates its value as an innovative tool for fostering interactive, student-centered learning in physics. The novelty of this study lies in applying the ARCS framework to analyze gamification outcomes in junior high school physics. The contribution of this study lies in demonstrating that gamification, particularly through Kahoot!, can effectively enhance multiple dimensions of learning motivation in physics. Furthermore, the findings enrich the body of knowledge on gamification in science education and present valuable implications for improving physics learning in Indonesia and comparable educational contexts.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah organik di wilayah pedesaan Malanuza semakin meningkat seiring dengan pertumbuhan penduduk dan aktivitas rumah tangga yang belum diimbangi dengan sistem pengelolaan lingkungan yang baik. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menurunkan kualitas udara akibat bau tidak sedap dan proses pembusukan yang tidak terkontrol. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan pembuatan ekoenzim sebagai solusi inovatif dalam pengelolaan sampah organik sekaligus upaya peningkatan kualitas udara. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, serta pendampingan intensif kepada warga. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa  survei pasca-kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta. Tingkat pemahaman tentang ekoenzim naik menjadi 89%, dengan 80% peserta mampu menjelaskan proses fermentasi secara benar. Selain itu, 95% peserta menyatakan niat untuk menerapkan ekoenzim di rumah tangga, termasuk penggunaannya sebagai pupuk cair untuk tanaman padi dan sayuran di lahan pertanian desa. Dampak kegiatan ini tidak hanya terlihat pada perubahan perilaku masyarakat dalam memilah dan mengolah sampah organik, tetapi juga pada meningkatnya kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga kualitas udara melalui solusi berbasis kearifan lokal dan ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Teachers need quality online learning for practical, fun, and contextual science learning. Therefore, this research aims to analyze product suitability retrieved from validation results by material, media, learning design, and language experts, as well as product trial results by user candidates. A research and development (R&D) approach based on Kurt's ADDIE model was used to achieve this research aim. The subjects were 5 teachers and 20 Citra Bakti Junior High School students. We employed data collection strategies through the use of validation sheets, questionnaires, validation evaluation sheets, and prospective user response surveys. The data analysis employed descriptive and inferential statistics. The research results show that the average validation score from material experts is 4.60, media experts are 4.50, learning design experts are 4.35, and language experts are 4.48, all of which are in the very good range. Additionally, teachers' and students' average outcomes trial scores were 4.49 and 4.54, respectively, at an excellent level. Given this information, the interactive, articulate storyline product based on real-world problems and the local wisdom of “Ngada” is suitable for application in the online learning process.

Abstract

Peningkatan literasi sains pada siswa SMP menjadi salah satu tantangan utama dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPA. Siswa cenderung kesulitan memahami konsep sains yang dianggap abstrak dan sulit dihubungkan dengan keseharian. Penelitian ini dilakukan guna meningkatakan literasi sains siswa SMP kelas VII melalui penerapan media majalah dinding berbasis kontekstual. Penelitian ini menerapkan model penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yang dibangun oleh Kemmis dan Mc Taggart, mencakup 4 langkah: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk penelituan ini menggunakan tes kemampuan literasi sains. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tes literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Mauponggo melalui subjek 25 siswa VII. Temuan yang didapat dari siswa pada siklus I dalam penggunaan media majalah dinding berbasisis kontekstual masih rendah. Ini disebabkan oleh ketidakmampuan siswa siswa kelas VII dalam media pembelajaran IPA berbasis kontekstual. Berdasarkan temuan penilaian siswa secara keseluruhan terhadap siklus I mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 8 orang (34, 2%) dan 17 orang mendapatkan nilai tidak tuntas (66, 8%). Setelah dilanjutkan pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan 20 siswa mendapatkan kriteria tuntas (90, 4%) dan 5 orang mendapatkan tidak tuntas (6%). Terdapat peningkatan signifikan dalam ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu pada siklus I terdapat 8 siswa yang mencapai kentuntasan, sedangkan pada siklus II meniingkat menjadi 20 siswa. Sebaliknya, jumlah siswa yang tidak tuntas pada siklus I menurun dari 17 siswa menjadi 5 siswa yang tidak tuntas pada siklus II. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada siklus I dan siklus II, tingkat keberhasilan dalam upaya perbaikan dalam pembelajaran.
