Abstract

This study explores the use of Instagram as a promotional and portfolio medium by Buka Project Studios through the lens of media ecology theory. The objective of this research is to analyze the content strategies implemented by the Social Media Officer and identify challenges in maintaining visual identity consistency. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with the Social Media Officer and Creative Lead. The findings reveal that Instagram serves as a dynamic digital ecosystem that integrates soft-selling content and portfolio displays to enhance audience engagement and expand professional networks. The research also highlights key challenges in striking a balance between trend adaptation and brand consistency. These findings contribute to the development of media ecology theory in the context of social media marketing, offering practical recommendations for creative industry practitioners to optimize their digital branding strategies.

Abstract

Abstract The Department of Communication and Informatics of Bandung City  is one of the Regional Government Organizations that utilizes Instagram as a platform for public information dissemination, serving as a form of public service. The characteristics of Instagram, which allow for rapid information dissemination, make it a strategic medium for carrying out information outreach activities. This study aims to analyze how the administrators manage the Instagram account @diskominfobdg as a medium for information outreach to the citizens of Bandung. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, literature review, active participatory observation, and documentation. This research applies Regina Luttrell’s Circular Model of Some for Social Communication, which divides social media management into four stages: share, optimize, manage, and engage. The findings reveal that the administrators manage the @diskominfobdg Instagram account through these four stages: (1) Share, Disseminating relevant and engaging educational content, emphasizing participation, connection, and trust-building; (2) Optimize, Enhancing visual elements and copywriting by focusing on real-time topics derived from media monitoring of trending public issues; (3) Manage, Overseeing interactions through media monitoring and FAIR evaluations, ensuring timely responses; (4) Engage, Facilitating two-way communication by involving the community and institutions. This strategy reflects the commitment of the Bandung City Department of Communication and Informatics to fostering adaptive, responsive, and participatory public communication. Keywords: Information dissemination; social media management; Instagram.   Abstrak Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kota Bandung merupakan salah satu Organisasi Pemerintah Daerah (OPD) yang memiliki akun Instagram dan menggunakannya sebagai penyuluhan informasi sebagai salah satu bentuk pelayanan publik. Karakteristik media sosial Instagram yang dapat menyebarkan informasi secara cepat, menjadi salah satu alasan kegiatan penyuluhan informasi dilakukan di akun Instagram. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis cara admin mengelola akun Instagram @diskominfobdg sebagai media penyuluhan informasi kepada masyarakat Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, studi pustaka, observasi partisipatif aktif, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori The Circular Model Of Some For Social Communication dari Regina Luttrel yang membagi tahapan pengelolaan media sosial menjadi 4 yaitu, share, optimize, manage, dan engage. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa admin akun Instagram @diskominfobdg melakukan pengelolaan akun Instagram sebagai media penyuluhan informasi melalui empat tahapan yaitu: 1) tahap membagikan (share), membagikan konten edukatif yang relevan dan menarik dengan menekankan aspek participate, aspek connect, dan aspek built trust; 2) tahap mengoptimalkan (optimize), mengoptimalkan visual dan copywriting dengan topik yang bersifat real-time dari hasil pengawasan media terkait isu yang sedang hangat dimasyarakat; 3) tahap mengelola (manage), mengelola interaksi dengan media monitoring dan evaluasi FAIR serta memastikan respon cepat; 4) tahap melibatkan (engage), melibatkan masyarakat dan instansi dalam komunikasi dua arah. Strategi ini mencerminkan komitmen Diskominfo Kota Bandung dalam membangun komunikasi publik yang adaptif, responsif, dan partisipatif. Abstract

Stirofoam sering kita jumpai sebagai sampah yang mencemari badan air. Biota air ada berbagai jenis, salah satunya adalah spirulina yang termasuk jenis mikroalga. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pertumbuhan spirulina di bawah tekanan stirofoam dan perubahan gugus fungsi stirofoam. Metode penelitian yaitu kultur dilakukan dalam air-tawar (0 ppt) selama 30 hari dan dicek pertumbuhannya melalui kerapatan massa (Optical density) kemudian diuji KruskalWallis menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 25. Stirofoam diuji FTIR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan laju pertumbuhan tertinggi spirulina pada kultur yang diberi perlakuan stirofoam 150 mg, yaitu sebesar y = 0,0705x. Analisis FTIR menunjukkan telah terjadi perubahan gugus fungsi pada stirofoam yaitu gugus alkohol (-COOH) pada panjang gelombang 3400-3200 cm dan ada rantai siklik yang terbuka (muncul peak pada panjang gelombang 1680-1600 cm). Keberadaan unsur anorganik lain membuktikan spirulina mampu menyerap kontaminan.

Abstract

Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic changed health services in primary care settings. Puskesmas continued to provide information, education, and health promotions by utilizing social media, but how do they do it, and what do they need? Data still needs to be provided. This study will provide an overview of social media utilization and its organizational factors within Puskesmas in Jakarta. Method: This qualitative descriptive study was obtained through focus group discussions (FGD) and secondary data. Puskesmas was selected by sampling and analyzing social media (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter) at 42 centers and selecting four centers with the highest and 2 with the lowest utilization. Results: Instagram is a frequently used social media (95.2%). For organizational factors, in terms of planning, the social media officer has a monthly-annual plan for uploading materials. For organizations, there are divisions of tasks. The Head of the Health Center provides guidelines for direction, and the Head of Puskesmas directs the content. For control, the Head of the Health Center and Puskesmas evaluate the report monthly. Conclusion: Instagram is the most widely used, and the organizational factors are the availability of infrastructure, budget, team officers, and evaluation from the Head of the Health Center and Puskesmas. Only four Puskesmas were involved in this study, and selecting criteria based on four types of social media are limitations in this study to represent all Puskesmas that may be active in other social media such as WhatsApp and TikTok.

Abstract

Instructional leadership and work commitment are things that school principals must have. Teachers have an important role in education. Teacher performance also needs to be improved. Principals play an important role in shaping schools, especially in encouraging higher levels of institutional independence. The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the influence of the madrasa head's instructional leadership and work commitment on the performance of Madrasah Tsanawiyah teachers in Agam Regency. The research used by the author is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analysis) method. The data used in this research is secondary data originating from national scientific articles in the period 2020 to 2024. The database used is Google Scholar. The keywords used are work commitment, leadership, teacher performance. The results of this research are: The results of this research show 15 articles that show a positive relationship between instructional leadership and work commitment to performance. The conclusion is that instructional leadership and work commitment influence performance, where the better the application of leadership and commitment to the organization, the more performance will improve. This relationship indicates that factors such as good leadership and high work commitment play a crucial role in maximizing individual and team performance in the organization.

Abstract

The research’s objective is to explore the contribution of teacher work motivation and school climate to teacher work achievement at the public elementary school, IV Jurai District, Pesisir Selatan Regency, by using a correlational quantitative approach with an ex post facto type of research. This research covers a teacher population of 225 people. The sample size was determined using the Cochran formula, and stratified proportional random sampling resulted in a sample of 102 teachers being selected based on class and length of service. Likert Scale Questionnaire, validated and reliable, facilitates data collection. The research results revealed (1) the contribution of teacher work motivation to teacher work achievement, (2) the contribution of school climate to teacher work achievement, (3) the contribution of teacher work motivation and school climate to teacher work achievement at the public elementary school, IV Jurai District, Pesisir Selatan Regency.

Abstract

This research aimed to reveal the influence of the principal's managerial competence on teacher professionalism, the principal's supervisory competence on teacher professionalism, and the principal's managerial competence and supervisory competence on teacher professionalism. This research used quantitative methods with an ex post facto research type. The population was 118 teachers from all state high school civil servant teachers in Koto Tangah District, while the sample was 95 teachers using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The research used a questionnaire to collect data. The data was analyzed using the average score (mean) for data description and test requirements (normality, homogeneity, linearity, and multicollinearity test). The results showed that the principal's managerial competence influences teacher professionalism by 9.9%, the principal's supervisory competence influences teacher professionalism by 18.6%, and organizational and supervisory competence have the same effect on teacher professionalism, which is 19.6%.

Abstract

The Geothermal Power Plant is one of the new renewable energy power plants. In Indonesia, the realization has reached 2%. Sarulla Operations Limited is the first geothermal power plant in Indonesia, located in North Tapanuli Regency, that utilizes combined cycle technology. Coffee is the leading commodity in the North Tapanuli district, with a plant area of 17,586 hectares. Coffee is dried in the traditional way (open field drying) so that it is still constrained by rain and cloudiness and can only be done during the day. The reinjection well fluid has a temperature of 103°C with a flow rate of 4978 t/h and a pressure of 6–14 Bar. This study analyses the residual fluid energy for coffee drying purposes. Energy and exergy calculations are done manually and using DWSIM software with a total of 24 data points 24 hours a day to represent the availability of dryers both day and night. The results showed that the most energy needed to raise the drying air temperature at night from 15°C to 60°C was 125.62 kW, while the lowest energy needed to raise the drying air temperature during the day from 30°C to 40°C was 27.92 kW. The results of research calculations show the energy potential for residual fluid from geothermal plants to be used for drying coffee for 24 hours, both day and night.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakasanakan bertujuan menggali informasi untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis efektivitas kebijakan pendidikan dalam program Bantuan Operasional Sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Dalam pengumpulan data, penulis mengumpulkan data yang dikumpulkan berdasarkan penyelidikan berdasarkan perpustakaan yang relevan dengan topik yang bersangkutan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan dalam program BOS sudah cukup baik untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Para pemangku kepentingan dan pengambil kebijakan perlu berpartisipasi aktif sesuai kapasitasnya masing-masing untuk menjamin kesinambungan pendidikan, sehingga tercapai realisasi peningkatan mutu di semua tingkatan dan komponen. Salah satu sarana bantuan terpenting bagi masyarakat dan institusi pendidikan adalah Bantuan Operasional Sekolah . Meskipun jumlah dana yang dikeluarkan oleh sekolah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sangat besar, sekolah dapat beroperasi dengan baik dengan dana BOS. Ini sangat penting bagi masyarakat yang memiliki keinginan untuk menyekolahkan anak-anak mereka ke jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi tetapi juga mengalami ketidakstabilan ekonomi. Dengan dana BOS, siswa dapat belajar dengan giat tanpa mempertimbangkan biaya sekolah. Kata kunci: BOS, Mutu Pendidikan dan Kebijakan Pendidikan

Abstract

Implementation of multicultural education in PAUD units has an important role in instilling the values ​​of diversity, tolerance and respect for differences from an early age. Multicultural education aims to form an early generation capable of living side by side in harmony. This research aims to provide an understanding for educators about how to implement multicultural education in PAUD units to increase effectiveness in an exciting learning process. Researchers used a qualitative approach with literature studies adapted to the topic of discussion. This research provides practical recommendations for educators to create an inclusive learning environment that supports the realization of multicultural education from an early age.
