Abstract

Contextual teaching and learning (CTL) is a learning model that focuses on the contribution of students to have choices in finding the material being studied and linking it to real situations to support students in applying it in their lives. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on the activities and learning outcomes of students in first grade (X class) of Senior High School of SMA Negeri 1 Aek Songsongan with a sample of 69 students. The research approach uses a quantitative approach, with an experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. Collecting data using pre-test and post-test scores consisting of six cognitive insights according to Bloom's taxonomy, namely aspects of remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating. And data collection also uses observation sheets to see student learning activities. In the instrument, the observation sheet for student learning activities includes six indicators, namely indicators of paying attention, asking and answering, expressing opinions, listening, solving problems, and being enthusiastic in participating in learning. The data obtained will be presented in the form of numbers and then analyzed using SPSS 24. The results of the research indicate that there is a significant effect on student learning activities after being given treatment using the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model. the average value of student learning activities in the experimental class is good with a percentage value of 85.47% and the average value of student learning activities in the control class is quite good with a percentage value of 71.87%. The results also showed that there was a significant effect on student learning outcomes after being given treatment using the CTL model with the mean value of learning outcomes in the experimental class was 75.18 and the mean value in the control class were 60

Abstract

This research This exploration intends to further develop understudies' innovative reasoning abilities through role-playing learning models on the digestive system material at senior high school of SMAN 2 Sidikalang, Dairi Regency. In order to accomplish this goal, A quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group was utilized in a quantitative study design. There were 60 subjects in all; The experimental and control group was using 30 person second grade (XI) MIPA on each part. the hypothesis was tested using t-independent data analysis to see how much influence and there was a difference in the students ability for creative thinking between the class that exclusively used the conventional method of learning and other class. The data for this study used an instrument, namely essay questions in the form of pre-test questions (before being treated) and post-test questions (after being treated), to quantify creative thinking skill. The SPSS v26 factual investigation results showed that The experimental class had an average worth of 80.00, whereas the control class had an average worth of 75.00, the T-test was performed to further demonstrate whether the difference was significant, where the Sig value (2-tailed) was 0.027 <0.05. In descriptive statistics, There were differences in the average level of creative thinking among students in the experimental and control groups. The t-test results showed that there was a significant difference between role-playing and simulation learning in terms of enhancing students' capacity for creative thinking skill

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of student learning when face-to-face learning is limited to biology subjects at Senior High School of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Kuis and the factors that influence it. The research method uses qualitative methods. The research population includes three classes, namely X MIA Class with a sample of 35 students, namely X MIA1 Class and X MIA2 Class as many as 34 students and X MIA 3 Class as many as 31 students. Research data in the form of biology teacher interviews and student questionnaires were developed according to indicators of learning saturation, namely emotional exhaustion, physical exhaustion, cognitive fatigue, and loss of motivation. The data collected was processed using a Likert scale technique, which was measured and translated into variable indicators. The data analysis technique uses the Miles & Huberman model, which consists of 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, as well as inference and validation. The results of this study show that during face-to-face learning the scale is limited to the indicator of emotional exhaustion of the dominant student in the saturated category, on the indicator of physical fatigue the dominant student is in the saturated category, on the indicator of cognitive fatigue the dominant student is in the saturated category, on the indicator of loss of motivation The dominant student is in the very saturated category

Abstract

This study aims to identify students' misconceptions on growth and development in animals and humans using the Three-Tier Multiple Choice instrument. This research uses a literature study approach with descriptive qualitative research methods. The results showed that the percentage of students' correct answers varied from 35% to 60%, with misconceptions ranging from 15% to 20%. Factors causing misconceptions included a lack of basic understanding, ineffective delivery of material, and environmental and cultural influences. To overcome these misconceptions, a more interactive learning approach that emphasizes in-depth understanding of concepts is needed.
