Abstract

Group recommender system is built to overcome the different needs that exist in each of the tour group members in determining tourist destinations. This is because everyone has different desires in determining the constraints of tourist destinations, such as costs and tourist categories. This recommendation process is based on a combination of profiles of each member to produce a tourist destination that can fulfill their needs. The method used is hybrid filtering which is a combination of collaborative filtering and knowledge-based filtering. Because the two methods have their own shortcomings. The collaborative method has a deficiency of tourist items that have never been rated by a user before, so the item cannot be recommended for active users. While in knowledge-based, tourist items must be completely described in detail so that they can be recommended to users. Domain used in this research is Bandung Raya area. The results of the evaluation in this study, users tend to feel very satisfied for the results of group travel recommendations generated the application by 50%. As for the evaluation of the recommendation algorithm, users prefer the results of the recommendations produced by collaborative and hybrid methods.

Abstract

Traveling is one of the activities chosen by many people to spend holidays. Some tourists want to go on vacation in a place they have never visited before, so they need a tool to plan a tour. Planning this tour includes determining tourist route. We analogize the determination of tourist routes using Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). The main objective of this study was to find the optimal tourist route using Swap Operator Based Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm. We use Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) to accommodate user needs for the route that recommended by the system. The criteria for user preferences used in this study are: 1) routes with as many tourist attractions as possible, 2) routes that pass popular destinations, and 3) routes with minimal costs. Based on the experiment results, Swap Operator Based Artificial Bee Colony gives more optimal results than the Simulated Annealing, especially in terms of the number of tourist attractions (nodes) that can be visited in one trip.Keywords: Multi-Attribute Utility Theory, Swap Operator Based Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm, Traveling Salesman Problem

Abstract

Nowadays, search engines are used to find various information on the Web.  Search engines that are implied traditional search based on keywords do not always provide relevant information. Meanwhile by semantic search can provide relevant results because it can understand the meaning of the context and its connection. One approach to semantic search is to use ontology. Ontology is used to define concepts and relevant relations in a domain. In Information Retrieval (IR), an ontology  encompasses in returning relevant information from a collection of unstructured information. One application of ontology in IR is query expansion. In this research, The query entered by the users will be searched for its relation to the ontology domain which will be expanded later. We use tourism in Bandung Raya as an ontology domain.  The search in this research is represented by using Vector Space Model (VSM). Furthermore, relevant documents  from search result will be provided to users. Based on the results of testing, the system that is built is able to provide relevant information with an average MAP value better than the search system that only uses traditional search methods.

Abstract

Currently, the music industry has grown rapidly which has led to an information overload that hinders users from finding the music they want, because everyone has their own unique characteristics. In a previous study, the Recommender System converted music lyrics into digital values using Lexicon's Non-Commercial Research (NRC) and K Nearest Neighbors (KNN) to look for similarities between music. However, this system only uses lyrics to recommend music, so it doesn't pay more attention to user preferences. Therefore, in this study adds criteria from users using the Weighted Product Method (WPM) to weight the music criteria with the input criteria from users. In this study uses a music dataset from 2000 to 2019 taken from the Kaggle website. The purpose of this study was to measure user satisfaction using the System Usability Scale (SUS). In this case, the user is free to answer 10 questions regarding the results of the recommendations provided by the system. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the SUS score was 83.65. This score is included in the EXCELLENT category with grade A scale

Abstract

Presently, we often get suggestions for recommendations for tourist attractions from various sources such as the internet, magazines, newspapers, or travel agencies. Because there is numerous information, tourists become difficult to determine the tourism destination that suits their wishes. We created a tourism recommender system that can provide information in the form of recommendations for tourist attractions by the preference of tourists. The method used is a hybrid method that combines several recommendation methods, which are Content-Based Filtering (CB) and Collaborative Filtering (CF). We use tourism data of Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara, which will be taken from the TripAdvisor site. We apply the Singular Value Decomposition algorithm on CF and CB. The Hybrid Weighted Parallel Technique is used for Hybrid Method. The results of the experiment show that the weighting technique hybrid method provides higher prediction accuracy than when undergoing the recommender system method separately. The average results of Mean Square Error were obtained 0.7275 (CF), 0 .4583 (CB), and 0.2548 (Hybrid Method). The result indicates that the Hybrid Method with the Weighting Technique has the highest accuracy of another method.

Abstract

In this day, users can listen to music anytime digitally and access them through the already available applications. A music recommender system is needed to help users choose music according to their interests and find music to listen to. K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) is a popular method used in Collaborative Filtering (CF). In many studies, CF with the KNN method has been widely used, but it does not provide good performance. Thus, in this study, we use KNN, which will be optimized using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), which can improve the performance of the results obtained against the method used. System testing is done by comparing the performance of the KNN algorithm with the optimization results of KNN-PSO with several variables being observed, including the Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) values. The results of these recommender will predict the rating value where the KNN method gives MSE 4.48 and RMSE 2.54 while the KNN-PSO method gives MSE 1.70 and RMSE 1.30.

Abstract

The development of E-Commerce continues to increase every year, and all online shopping platforms continue to increase competition. Shopee as an online shopping platform offers various product categories that users need. To make it easier for users when shopping online, it is necessary to implement a product recommender system in E-Commerce. Therefore, in this study, we will build a recommender system using the a priori algorithm. The apriori algorithm is very widely used to find out the buying pattern of each user by looking at a combination of itemset. many recommender systems in e-commerce use various methods used, and provide recommendation results that display popular products, and based on the query results obtained. From the results of previous studies, there are similarities between products that have been liked by customers, so they do not have the best recommendations. Therefore, in this study we apply an apriori algorithm to add user confidence to the given recommendations, and to avoid overspecialization. In this research, we take the domain of electronics goods. In this study, the system produces the best value for association rules with a support value of 0.01, confidence 1.00, and lift 97.35.

Abstract

Public health has become a significant focus in this modern era due to the increasing number of people suffering from various diseases. Unhealthy diets and lack of physical activity are often associated with multiple health problems, one of which is obesity. Several studies have been conducted to develop food recommendation systems for individuals with obesity, using K-Means and Random Forest algorithms to provide food recommendations based on user-specific aspects. However, these studies do not provide supporting information, such as physical activity recommendations to address fitness issues or lack of physical activity. This study develops a diet and physical exercise recommendation system for individuals with obesity using a combination of K-Means and Random Forest. The system categorizes and classifies foods and physical exercises and provides customized recommendations based on user data analysis. The accuracy of the system was evaluated using the MAPE metric, with the highest accuracy for dietary food recommendations being 99.03% for the non-vegan lunch diet meal recommendation and the lowest being 70.74% for the vegan morning meal diet recommendation. The MAPE for physical exercise recommendations was consistently at 26.35%, indicating a stable accuracy of 73.65%. The test results show that the system recommends diet and physical exercise accurately.
