Abstract

The concept of hubuddunya (love of the world) within the Akidah Akhlak subject holds a strategic role in shaping the moral and spiritual character of students, particularly in the midst of globalization, materialism, and consumerist culture that increasingly influence young generations. This study seeks to critically analyze the teaching materials of Akidah Akhlak for Grade X at MA YASPI Cicantayan, focusing on the hubuddunya topic. The main objective is to evaluate the relevance, depth, and effectiveness of these materials in fostering students’ awareness of moral values, as well as their ability to apply Islamic principles in daily life. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, collecting data through documentation of learning resources, observation of lesson plans (RPP), and in-depth interviews with teachers. The data analysis process was conducted through reduction, classification, and interpretation of findings to obtain a comprehensive picture of the existing instructional practices. The results reveal that the current teaching materials tend to remain highly theoretical and emphasize the transfer of knowledge rather than transformative learning. Consequently, they do not adequately address contextual issues faced by students in their real-life environment. The affective and psychomotor aspects of students’ moral development are not optimally stimulated, leaving a gap between conceptual understanding and practical application. Furthermore, essential Islamic values such as zuhud (detachment from excessive worldliness), qanaah (contentment), and tawakal (trust in God) have not been integrated effectively as counterbalances to materialistic tendencies. The implications of this study underline the urgency of developing Akidah Akhlak teaching materials that are more contextual, student-centered, and relevant to contemporary challenges. Such materials should not only transmit religious knowledge but also foster reflective thinking, emotional maturity, and behavioral consistency, thereby preparing students to face globalization with strong faith, resilience, and anti-materialistic attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the techniques and efforts of school principals in improving the pedagogic competence of teachers in elementary schools. In this study using a qualitative method, namely research conducted through observation and searching for data directly at the research location. This research is located at MD AZZAINIYYAH. And the research subject or resource person for this research is the principal at MD AZZAINIYYAH. In this study, a result was obtained which stated that the principal's supervision technique was in the form of individual and group techniques. Then the efforts made are conducting training, providing guidance and direction and motivating teachers. Furthermore, after the supervision was carried out, the teacher's performance increased and had an effect on increasing the potential and student learning outcomes at MD AZZAINIYYAH.

Abstract

Religious courts generally grant marriage dispensation to prevent harm (mafsadat). This study analyzes three decisions from the Kajen Religious Court: Numbers 209/Pdt.P/2023/PA.Kjn.,  248/Pdt.P/2022/PA.Kjn., and 185/Pdt.P/2022/PA.Kjn. Though the reasons behind each request differed, the judges used similar legal reasoning, focusing on avoiding harm. The research method used is library research with a qualitative, interactive analysis approach. The findings show that the main reasons for applying for marriage dispensation include: the couple already has a close relationship and fears doing inappropriate acts, the applicant is pregnant, or the applicant has reached puberty and feels ready for marriage. In making decisions, the judge considers legal aspects and the principle of dar’u al-mafāsid muqaddam ‘ala jalb al-maṣāliḥ (avoiding harm takes priority over gaining benefit). Applications are rejected if the applicant is deemed unready for marriage or the situation risks leading to divorce. Applications are granted when the couple already knows and loves each other deeply, cannot be separated, and delay might cause greater harm.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of school promotion at SDI Technopreneur An Nadwah as an effort to increase the interest of prospective new students. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, informal interviews, and document analysis. The results show that the basic concept of SDI Technopreneur An Nadwah is based on the national curriculum integrated with technopreneurship programs, tahfiz, and the cultivation of Islamic character habits. The promotional strategies used include publication through social media, school branding programs, collaboration with PAUD/TK institutions, open house activities, and the distribution of printed media. Promotional implementation is carried out in a structured manner through the creation of digital content, the organization of public events, and the provision of digital-based PPDB (new student admission) information services. The obstacles encountered include limited promotional human resources, content consistency, and competition among schools; however, these can be addressed through the formation of a dedicated promotion team, strengthening the school’s flagship content, and optimizing digital media. This study concludes that effective school promotion can enhance institutional visibility and attract the interest of prospective new students more optimally.

Abstract

Based on the research findings, academic supervision at Markaz Al Zamil Al Ma’tuq is implemented systematically and continuously through teacher administrative supervision and classroom instructional supervision. Academic supervision functions not only as an evaluative activity but also as a form of professional development that contributes to the improvement of teachers’ pedagogical competence. Administrative supervision ensures the readiness of instructional planning, while classroom supervision directly supports the improvement of pedagogical practices. The implementation of supervision that is adjusted to the characteristics of different subjects reflects a contextual approach aligned with the academic culture of the Islamic boarding school. The tiered follow-up actions—ranging from professional coaching and repeated supervision to temporary teaching suspension—demonstrate the institution’s commitment to maintaining instructional quality and reinforcing teachers’ professional responsibility. Thus, academic supervision plays a strategic role in improving the quality of learning in the pesantren context. Strengthening a sustainable supervision system and fostering teachers’ openness to supervisory feedback are essential for the continuous development of pedagogical competence. Future studies are recommended to examine academic supervision using more diverse methodological approaches in order to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of its impact on the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Implementation of the VARK Model (Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, Kinesthetic) in the context of classroom mastery is a strategy that can provide a more inclusive and effective approach in increasing student achievement. This research aims to explore how implementing the VARK model can improve students' learning experiences and their academic performance. The research method used is a literature study which involves analysis of relevant sources regarding the VARK concept and its application in an educational context. The research results show that by understanding diverse learning preferences, educators can design learning experiences that better suit students' individual needs. Through the integration of different learning strategies, such as the use of pictures and diagrams for visual students, group discussions for auditory students, reading and writing assignments for students who prefer learning through text, as well as practical activities or experiments for kinesthetic students, students can be more engaged in learning and gaining a deeper understanding. This research also highlights the importance of flexibility in teaching, adapting to changing student learning preferences, and evaluating the effectiveness of the learning strategies used. Although the VARK model has advantages in providing guidance for inclusive teaching, it is important to remember that students' learning preferences can change and that various factors also influence students' academic performance.

Abstract

Development of Indonesian national law should not leave attention to development of legal plurality as its source. Focus of this study is to see the influence of Indonesian social factors on the development of Islamic law and how Islamic law can be integratively transformed into the National Law. By qualitative method and socio-legal approach and constructivism paradigm, this study bases on theories of social change influeces on Islamic law law without leaving methodology of usul fiqh and the sources of Islamic law. Islamic law has broad opportunity and experiences to be integratively transformed into national law within Indonesia's own character. Transformation can be done in the whole structure of Islamic law including its values of philosophy, principles and norms, and can be performed in all areas, both private and public Law, written law by political power and unwritten law with cultural approach. However, Islamic law as one of the Indonesia living laws and the sources of National law, still today is viewed in dichotomy to the National law and only transformed in limited norms. There are many obstacles to be transformed into national law integratively and widely, though Islamic law has wide space of interpretation and intellectualism that can adapt to different contexts and National law.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tantangan pedagogis dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) di Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), di mana dominasi metode ceramah konvensional sering kali mengakibatkan rendahnya keterlibatan dan motivasi belajar siswa. Sebagai mata pelajaran yang sarat akan materi naratif dan kronologis, SKI memerlukan inovasi media yang mampu menjembatani kompleksitas sejarah dengan karakteristik siswa generasi digital native. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan dan efektivitas aplikasi Kahoot! sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis gamifikasi untuk meningkatkan partisipasi aktif serta hasil belajar siswa. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif yang disintesis dari berbagai hasil eksperimen dan pengembangan (R&D), penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana fitur interaktif Kahoot seperti sistem poin, musik latar yang memicu adrenalin, dan papan peringkat mampu menciptakan atmosfer kelas yang dinamis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Kahoot secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik siswa, yang berimplikasi pada peningkatan hasil belajar hingga 34,6% dibandingkan metode konvensional. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi teknologi gamifikasi dapat mengubah persepsi siswa terhadap pelajaran sejarah dari sekadar hafalan menjadi pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan bermakna.
