Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan media youtube 5-minute crafts terhadap keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 02 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen the one group pretest-posstest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 02 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dengan jumlah 149 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII Fase D3 yang berjumlah 31 orang yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan tiga hal berikut. Pertama, keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 02 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman sebelum menggunakan media youtube 5-minute crafts berada pada kualifikasi Cukup (C) dengan nilai rata-rata 64,52. Kedua, keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 02 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman sesudah menggunakan media youtube 5-minute crafts berada pada kualifikasi Baik (B) dengan nilai rata-rata 81,59. Ketiga, berdasarkan uji-t, hipotesis alternatif (HI) diterima pada taraf kepercayaan dan derajat kebebasan (dk) = (n1 + n2)-2 karena thitung>ttabel (5,12 >1,67). Dengan kata lain, media youtube 5-minute crafts efektivitas terhadap keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 02 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan penerapan media Youtube, kendala-kendala yang dihadapi guru dan tindak lanjut yang dilakukan guru yang mengajar di kelas X dalam menerapkan media Youtube dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah (1) modul ajar, (2) proses pembelajaran menulis teks laporan hasil observasi, (3) data proses berupa LKPD sedangkan data hasil adalah karya tulis laporan hasil observasi siswa. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru, siswa, dan PBM (Proses Belajar Mengajar). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pertama, guru telah menerapkan media Youtube dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi kelas X SMK N 9 Padang. Kedua, terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi guru bahasa Indonesia saat menerapkan media Youtube dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi kelas X SMK N 9 Padang. Ketiga, tahap pengevaluasian pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi menggunakan rubrik penilaian menulis teks laporan hasil observasi. Keempat, upaya yang dilakukan adalah menyediakan sarana/alat yang dibutuhkan dalam proses penerapan media Youtube dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi, dan bagi yang tidak memiliki paket internet bisa dengan, (1) membentuk kelompok, (2) menayangkan di depan kelas, (3) searching/download video Youtube sebelum mulai pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran project based learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025 sebanyak 210 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 68 siswa yang ditentukan berdasarkan nilai rata-rata dan standar deviasi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Hasil penelitian ini ada tiga. Pertama, keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi menggunaan model pembelajaran project based learning berbantuan media audiovisual memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 82,19 dengan kualifikasi Baik (B). Kedua, keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi menggunaan model pembelajaran project based learning berbantuan media gambar memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 61,93 dengan kualifikasi Cukup (C). Ketiga, berdasarkan uji-t diperoleh nilai thitung>ttabel sehingga hipotesis (H1) diterima pada taraf signifikan 95% dan derajat kebebasan (dk)=n-1. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran project based learning berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi menjadikan kemampuan menulis naskah persuasif dan menyusun narasi kreatif yang dipublikasikan pada media digital merupkan keterampilan yang sangat dibutuhkan saat ini. Berdasarkan hal itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan copywriting dan storytelling Karang Taruna Nagari Malai V Suku Timur dalam mempromosikan budaya dan wisata lokal di era digital. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah Service Learning dengan pendekatan Community Development, yang dilaksanakan selama dua hari dengan melibatkan 15 peserta. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi persiapan, pre-test, pelaksanaan inti, post-test, dan evaluasi. Proses inti menggunakan kombinasi ceramah interaktif, praktik, serta diskusi kelompok untuk mengasah keterampilan menulis naskah persuasif dan merancang narasi kreatif. Berdasarkan hasil uji Wilcoxon dan N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan antara skor pre-test dan post-test, yang membuktikan efektivitas kegiatan. Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam mempromosikan potensi budaya dan wisata lokal melalui media digital. Kegiatan ini berimplikasi pada penguatan kapasitas pemuda nagari dalam bidang literasi digital sekaligus mendukung pengembangan ekonomi kreatif daerah secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Discovery learning is considered an effective educational method that can engage students and enhance their reading and writing skills. This method encourages students to develop a greater interest in reading and provides ample opportunities for practicing writing exercises. The discovery learning approach engages students by offering them relevant material to use in their writing, thus making the learning process more interactive and meaningful. This study aims to explore several key aspects of the discovery learning method. First, it examines the influence of discovery learning methods compared to conventional learning models on students' writing skills. Second, it investigates the effect of the discovery learning method on writing skills specifically for students with high reading interest. Third, it looks into the impact of the discovery learning method on students with low reading interest. Lastly, the study aims to understand the interaction between the discovery learning method and students' reading interest in enhancing writing skills. The research was conducted as a quasi-experiment, utilizing a purposive sampling technique to select participants. The samples included students from class XI TPB and XI TPE. The findings of the research revealed that the explanatory writing skills of students taught using the discovery learning method were significantly higher than those of students taught using conventional models, regardless of their level of reading interest. Furthermore, the study identified an interaction between the discovery learning method and reading interest, indicating that this method is particularly effective in improving explanatory text writing skills among students with varying levels of reading interest.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the structure and social values contained in the short story Sekotak Cinta Bersampul Koran by Seno Gumira Ajidarma with a focus on how this short story describes the social conditions of society and the inner struggle of the main character. Through a literary analysis approach, this study analyzes the story structure, characters, themes, and storytelling techniques used in the short story. The results of the analysis show that this short story reflects the social alienation experienced by individuals in modern life, as well as the inner conflicts that arise due to social and economic injustice. It also highlights the values of love and sacrifice, friendship and solidarity, and social justice and injustice, leading to a critique of materialistic social norms. A clear plot structure, starting from introduction, conflict, climax, to resolution, supports the delivery of the theme, showing the inner struggle of the main character in finding the meaning of life and love in the midst of social limitations. This research is expected to provide deeper insights into the influence of literature in reflecting social issues and enriching readers' understanding of Indonesian literary works, as well as inviting readers to be more critical in assessing literary works as a reflection of existing social reality.

Abstract

The short story Sebuah Kisah di Candipuro by Budi Darma portrays the life of a rural community that remains bound to tradition and long-standing beliefs amid social change. This study aims to analyze the narrative structure and social reality in the short story using a structural approach and the sociology of literature. A qualitative descriptive method was employed by examining the intrinsic elements of the story and exploring the relationship between the text and the social conditions of the community depicted. The analysis shows that the short story features a forward-moving plot, characters with complex inner conflicts, and a social setting that highlights the tension between rationality and traditional beliefs. From a sociological perspective, the work presents a portrait of the Candipuro community, which continues to be influenced by belief systems, social inequality, and the search for the meaning of life. Thus, the short story reflects the social life of Indonesian society at a crossroads between traditional values and modernity, while simultaneously reaffirming the relevance of literature as a mirror of socio-cultural dynamics.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze religious and structural values in Dede Soepriatna's short story "Titah yang Berkuasa" through an integrated religious and structural approach. Employing a qualitative descriptive method with content and structural analysis techniques, this study reveals various spiritual values implicit within the narrative of this contemporary Indonesian literary work. The analysis results demonstrate fundamental religious values such as destiny (qada and qadar), tawakkal (submission to God's will), sacrifice, betrayal, and divine justice. The character Roro Oyi represents spiritual steadfastness and surrender to the Creator amidst life's trials, while King Amangkurat's character critiques the abuse of power that contradicts moral-religious principles. Structurally, the short story presents a complex plot with effectively developed central conflict, multidimensional characterization, and rich symbolism that deepens the spiritual meaning of the narrative. The research findings confirm that literature can function as an effective medium for moral and religious education without sacrificing narrative integrity. The integration of religious and structural approaches provides a holistic perspective in understanding how spiritual messages are conveyed through formal beauty, offering a literary appreciation model that harmoniously combines ethical and aesthetic dimensions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the intrinsic elements of the short story “Angin dari Gunung” by A.A. Navis using a structural approach. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method through close reading, note-taking, and textual analysis. The findings reveal that the main theme of the story centers on the protagonist’s psychological struggle when dealing with social pressure and the desire for personal tranquility. The internal conflict experienced by the protagonist is reflected through inner monologues and narrative descriptions that contrast the serenity of the mountain with his emotional restlessness. The mountain setting functions symbolically as a space of quiet contemplation, yet it highlights the protagonist’s inability to escape his internal burdens. The progressive plot illustrates the character’s psychological development toward the realization that physical escape cannot resolve inner turmoil. This study concludes that the intrinsic elements—theme, characters, plot, setting, and conflict—work cohesively to construct the story’s overall meaning. Each element supports the narrative structure and reinforces the message regarding self-awareness, acceptance, and the complexity of human emotional experience.

Abstract

Nagari Malai V Suku Timur, a newly established village, faces challenges in developing its branding due to limited digital literacy and the underutilization of technology to promote local potential. This condition weakens the competitiveness of agricultural products, tourism, and local SMEs. This community service program aimed to enhance the skills of Karang Taruna youth through copywriting and storytelling training as digital communication strategies to strengthen village branding. The method applied was direct training consisting of lectures, practice, discussions, and mentoring, conducted over two days (24–25 July 2025) at the Malai V Suku Timur Village Office Hall with 15 active participants. The results revealed that participants gained a clear understanding of copywriting and storytelling and successfully applied these skills to social media content using Canva and Instagram. Evaluation through pre-tests, post-tests, and satisfaction surveys indicated highly positive responses, with improved comprehension, practical skills, and participant satisfaction. The implication of this activity is the potential empowerment of village youth to optimize digital media for branding, which is expected to contribute to sustainable development in the economic, tourism, and SME sectors.
