Abstract

The Anatomy-Based Literacy Media Integrated Multimodal Counseling Program was designed in response to the lack of inclusive learning media for blind students in Pendowo Kudus, which results in low conceptual understanding and learning motivation as well as limited competence of guidance and counseling teachers in multisensorial technology. The community service methodology includes the development of tactile media such as 3D anatomical models, Braille books, and audio narratives teacher training in the use of inclusive media and multimodal counseling techniques, implementation in guidance sessions, and evaluation using quantitative (literacy tests, teacher competency surveys) and qualitative (interviews, observations of student personality) methods. The evaluation results show important achievements: understanding of anatomical concepts by blind students increased significantly through exploration of 3D tactile models, consistent with the finding that “blind students’ tactile perception is significantly more developed” and improves learning performance compared to conventional visual methods; teachers’ competence increased significantly in designing and using inclusive media and implementing multisensorial counseling effectively; and students’ productive personality aspects, such as self-confidence, independence, and creativity, developed positively. This confirms the effectiveness of the multimodal approach in strengthening teacher competency and facilitating the formation of productive personalities of blind students; thus, this program is recommended as an effective inclusive guidance and counseling service model to be replicated in other inclusive schools.

Abstract

Abstract  This study aims to improve the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 4 Mulyolobo Jepara, who in the pre-cycle only achieved 5.56% mastery due to teacher-centered learning and minimal media innovation. The solution used is Problem-Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Policermat (Monopoly Cerdas Cermat) media to encourage active involvement, critical thinking, collaboration, and create an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. This Classroom Action Research involved 18 students and lasted for two cycles, each with two meetings. Data were obtained through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed an increase in learning mastery from 5.60% in the pre-cycle to 38.90% in Cycle I, and 83.30% in Cycle II (a total increase of 77.7%). In Cycle II, students’ IPAS process skills also demonstrated significant improvement, with achievements as follows: observing 86.83%, questioning and answering 83.34%, planning and conducting investigations 77.78%, associating 84.00%, and communicating 82.64%. Based on IPAS assessments, students’ learning outcomes also improved, with scores of C1 (Remembering) 79.40%, C2 (Understanding) 73.98%, C3 (Applying) 70.58%, C4 (Analyzing) 66.95%, C5 (Evaluating) 62.45%, and C6 (Creating) 61.95%. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the social interactions in using gadgets of 10-year-old children in Desa Tambahagung viewed from the control and the intensity of using gadget. The benefit of this study was analyzing the form of changes in social interactions that occurred in children aged 10 years who used gadgets. This study described 10 years old children affected by the gadget. This study used a qualitative phenomenological method, which was conducted in Desa Tambahagung RT 04/RW 02. The objects of this research were ten 10-year-old children in the area who were already familiar with gadgets, especially during the Covid 19 pandemic, in which they were closer and often used gadgets as a means of communication and learning because schools had switched to online learning. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and recording. The results showed that using gadgets on the interaction of children aged 10 years did not show a significant problem because on average children were extrovert or open to others. They generally played gadgets together with their friends so that the communication and interaction was still good. The phenomenon that emerged in this study was that the device had an effect on children's emotions, nomophobia, children's self-disclosure with parents, and children's language.

Abstract

A high level of proficiency in solving problems methodically is a component of critical thinking. By using EDUPING (E-Module based on Mind Mapping) combined with a cooperative learning approach. This research aims to measure the increase in students' critical thinking abilities through thematic learning in class VI of an elementary school. This research uses an experimental design with a pre-experiment and one-group pretest-posttest layout. This research involved 27 participants, all of whom were class VI students at SD N 3 Terban. Because it is a saturated sample, the sample size is proportional to the population. The written exam serves as a research tool. The results were checked with the N-gain test. Based on the test results, the average N-Gain test was obtained at 0.37, which is in the medium category, and the increased test used paired-samples t-test, the sig value (2-tailed) was 0.00 < 0.05, which means Ha is accepted and H0 rejected, which means there is an increase in using EDUPING (E-Module based on Mind Mapping) with a cooperative learning model in electric current material.
