Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid global growth of Muslim travellers has created substantial opportunities for non-Muslim destinations to develop halal tourism infrastructure. However, empirical accounts of how university–diaspora community–government collaborations can be operationalised systematically in Japanese secondary cities remain scarce. This international community service project aimed to: (1) develop comprehensive halal tourism packages for Kitakyushu; (2) produce professional promotional content; and (3) build the capacity of PCIM (Special Branch of Muhammadiyah) Japan members to establish and manage sustainable halal tourism enterprises. The project adopted a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach over six months (May–October 2025) across three phases. Data were collected through three focus group discussions (18 participants), semi-structured in-depth interviews with 12 key stakeholders, structured field observations at nine destinations, and document review; instruments comprised an FGD guide, interview protocol, and observation checklist, all expert-validated. Success indicators were specified at three levels: outputs (packages, content, business proposals), outcomes (pre-/post-test knowledge gains), and early impact (partner follow-up commitments). The project produced three segmented halal tourism packages, a four-minute promotional video. The scholarly contribution lies in articulating an operational model of cross-border collaboration grounded in Islam Berkemajuan values that integrates diaspora empowerment, cultural adaptation, and Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17).   Keywords: Community service, Halal tourism, International collaboration, Japan, Muhammadiyah, Community-based tourism.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the context, input, process, and product program of the Muhammadiyah Suronatan elementary school health canteen program. This study is an evaluative study with the CIPP model. Data collection techniques used interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The respondents of this study are the principal, the teacher in charge of the canteen, the canteen manager, and students. Some of the steps taken in data analysis include data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed four main components. First, the school canteen aims to provide safe, healthy, and nutritious food from the context aspect. Second, it is appropriate to improve students’ health through human resource support and adequate funds based on the input aspect. Third, the school has held clean and healthy living socialization for school residents based on the process aspect. Lastly, in terms of product, all the targets from the planned program have been achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the Adiwiyata program at Muhammadiyah Bantul City Elementary School. This type of research is evaluative research with the CIPP model. Collecting data through observation, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that the context component contained environmental protection and management efforts, the input component included the budget used, the process component including the maintenance of facilities and infrastructure needed to be improved, and the product component showed that there were quite a several academic and non-academic products produced. The supporting factors for the implementation of the Adiwiyata program are supporting human resources and infrastructure, while the inhibiting factor is the lack of environmental sensitivity and knowledge of the school community. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaan program Adiwiyata di Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian evaluatif model CIPP. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komponen context memuat upaya perlindungan dan pengelolaan lingkungan hidup, komponen input mencakup anggaran yang digunakan, komponen process mencakup pemeliharaan sarana dan prasarana perlu ditingkatan, serta komponen product menunjukkan cukup banyak produk yang dihasilkan akademik dan non-akademik. Faktor pendukung pelaksanaan program Adiwiyata adalah dukungan sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasarana, sedangkan faktor penghambat adalah kurangnya kepekaan dan pengetahuan lingkungan hidup dari warga sekolah.

Abstract

Tugas dan tanggung jawab guru memegang peran sentral dalam membentuk karakter siswa melalui berbagai pendekatan, seperti keteladanan, manajemen kelas, kolaborasi, dan integrasi teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis temuan-temuan penelitian mengenai kepemimpinan guru dalam pendidikan karakter dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Artikel dipilih dari empat basis data akademik: ScienceDirect (6 artikel), SpringerLink (5 artikel), Google Scholar (2 artikel), dan ERIC (7 artikel). Sebanyak 20 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan SLR dan metode PRISMA untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama, seperti strategi kepemimpinan, tantangan guru, dan dampaknya terhadap pengembangan karakter siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan guru mencakup beberapa dimensi esensial, antara lain keteladanan moral, pengembangan hubungan emosional yang positif, integrasi nilai-nilai karakter ke dalam pembelajaran, kolaborasi dengan orang tua dan masyarakat, serta kepemimpinan profesional yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan kontemporer. Selain itu, integrasi teknologi memiliki potensi signifikan untuk mendukung pendidikan karakter, meskipun keterampilan teknologi guru masih menjadi tantangan. Hubungan positif antara guru dan siswa juga terbukti meningkatkan internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter. Sebagai pemimpin pembelajaran, guru tidak hanya bertanggung jawab dalam menyampaikan materi, tetapi juga menumbuhkan budaya nilai dan perilaku positif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik, sosial, dan emosional guru menjadi kunci untuk mewujudkan pendidikan karakter yang holistik dan berkelanjutan, khususnya di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The ISMUBA curriculum is a unique curriculum which used holistic-integrative matters. In a student-centered learning era, the existence of such curriculum is important and meaningful especially combine with project-based learning. Therefore, this study aims to explore project-based learning, as a development of the holistic-integrative ISMUBA curriculum. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Sapen Yogyakarta. This research approach is qualitative research based on field studies. The subjects of this study consisted of teachers and students. Data were obtained by interview, observation, and documentation methods. Data analysis was carried out using three steps namely display, reduction, and verification techniques. The results of the study were obtained. Project-based learning is an important component in developing the ISMUBA curriculum at SD Muhammadiyah Sapen Yogyakarta. The concepts built in project-based learning encourage students to think critically, creatively, and innovatively to support 21st-century learning skills that are relevant to UNESCO concepts. Learning to know and learning to do are teaching developments that improve students' critical thinking, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. This research implies that the development of the ISMUBA curriculum is the answer to the four-pillar learning targets issued by UNESCO.

Abstract

The development of Islamic religious education learning materials is crucial in the era of globalization and technological advancement, which indirectly demands renewal and innovation in Islamic religious education learning materials to produce high-quality, relevant, and up-to-date materials that meet the needs of students and can be applied in everyday life. In reality, the development of Islamic religious education learning materials at SDN 0723 Parmainan still faces various challenges, including a lack of integration between general knowledge and Islamic religious education, failing to address global issues, and still focusing primarily on the cognitive domain. In this condition, an in-depth evaluation of the material development is necessary by examining the effectiveness, relevance, and meaningfulness of the material. This study used a qualitative approach with the CIPP evaluation model and was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analytical framework. The results showed that the evaluation of the development of Islamic religious education materials in terms of content, input, process, and product at SDN 0723 Parmainan was classified as good, but still requires several improvements, including the use of learning technology and providing adequate worship facilities so that the goals of Islamic religious education can be achieved optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

This article focuses on the importance of implementing holistic education in Muhammadiyah schools. The essence of education is to develop the full potentials of humanity covering the potentials of cognitive, emotional, social, spiritual, creativity, and physical. The six potential humanities are a unity, which means a potential can be developed through another potential. Partial views of teachers on the potential of students have implications for non-intact practice of education in schools that make split personality on students. Muhammadiyah education as a part of the national education system is the mandate of the constitution to produce holistic man through education in Muhammadiyah schools. This article is based on research results at Muhammadyah Sleman Yogyakarta Elementary School.

Abstract

Dewan Kerabat Penghela (DKP) Hizbul Wathan memiliki peran yang penting dalam mengelola ekstrakurikuler sebagai media pembinaan karakter di sekolah Muhammadiyah. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah bagaimana DKP HW mampu mengelola organisasi secara efektif dengan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan dalam kegiatan kepanduan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen DKP HW dalam mengelola kegiatan Hizbul Wathan di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta dan SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta, serta menelaah kontribusinya terhadap penguatan Proyek Penguatan Proflil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi multisitus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, melibatkan kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, pelatih HW, serta anggota DKP. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña yang mencakup kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, disertai triangulasi sumber dan metode untuk menjaga keabsahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen DKP HW dilaksanakan secara sistematis melalui kegiatan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, kepemimpinan, dan pengawasan, dengan dukungan kuat dari sekolah. Kegiatan ekstrakulikuler HW berkontribusi dalam pelaksanaan P5 untuk membentuk karakter siswa. Terdapat perbedaan pola manajemen DKP yaitu pada aspek pelaksanaan kegiatan, SMA Muhammadiyah 1 cenderung formal dengan karakter kemandirian, dan gotong royong. Adapun SMA Muhammadiyah 3 cenderung fleksibel dengan karakter religiusitas. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa manajemen DKP HW berdampak pada pembentukan karakter siswa melalui kegiatan P5 yang integratif berbasis Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan dan Pancasila di sekolah Muhammadiyah.

Abstract

The increasing incidence of corruption in the cooperative sector demonstrates that cooperatives are not only vehicles for community economic empowerment but may also be used to facilitate abuses of authority that cause state financial losses. This situation raises legal uncertainty regarding the division of criminal liability between cooperative management as individual offenders and cooperatives as corporate entities. This study aims to analyze the regulation of criminal liability for both legal subjects, identify the limits of their respective responsibilities, and formulate legal parameters for determining criminal accountability in corruption cases. The research employs a normative juridical method using statutory, conceptual, case, and comparative approaches through the analysis of legislation, court decisions, and legal doctrines. The findings reveal that existing regulations do not clearly distinguish the criminal liability of cooperative management and cooperatives as corporations. Management is held liable when corruption involves abuse of authority, intent, or personal benefit, whereas cooperatives may be held liable if the offense results from organizational policies, benefits the corporation, or reflects failures in internal supervision. Clearer legal parameters are essential to strengthen legal certainty and promote more effective, proportional, and equitable law enforcement in combating corruption within the cooperative sector.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of brain based learning models in Islamic religious education so that the values of Islamic religious education can be applied in everyday life. The research method used is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques with interviews and observations.The data analysis technique used is phenemenological analysis which is a technique for drawing conclusions based on the data obtained and in accordance with the research objectives. The results of this study are learning conducted with a brain based learning model to provide optimal results, students are more aware of the learning process and have a positive impact on everyday life.
