Abstract

Kondisi jaringan periodontal dinilai berdasarkan status perdarahan (bleeding on probing), tingkat kedalaman poket periodontal (pocket depth), dan kehilangan perlekatan jaringan periodontal (clinical attachment loss).

Abstract

Hydrogen as a renewable energy source is increasingly important in efforts to reduce carbon emissions and transition to clean energy. Many power plants are equipped with hydrogen plants that produce hydrogen gas continuously, but excess hydrogen is often disposed of when storage reaches maximum capacity. This study proposes the use of excess hydrogen to power fuel cells as a backup energy source in various important facilities, such as commercial centres, fitness, and health services. Hydrogen fuel cells offer the main advantage of zero-emission operation, making them an ideal solution for improving energy sustainability. By using previously discarded hydrogen, not only energy waste can be minimized, but it also opens new business opportunities in the sale and rental of fuel cell systems to consumers who care about their carbon footprint and clean energy. The hydrogen gas productivity at a power plant reaches 88.8 kg/day, and the potential excess hydrogen gas at a power plant reaches 48.84 kg/day. One kilogram of hydrogen gas can generate 15 to 20 kWh of electrical energy. The study also examines potential business models that focus on the utilization of hydrogen from renewable energy sources such as solar, hydro, and geothermal. In addition, the analysis shows that the application of fuel cells for backup energy systems in strategic locations can reduce dependence on conventional energy that generates emissions. The use of this technology has great potential to support green energy infrastructure in Indonesia and is in line with global initiatives towards reducing carbon emissions. With the cost of hydrogen production getting lower and the growing awareness of the importance of clean energy, this approach is expected to play a significant role in achieving sustainable energy targets.

Abstract

Blood glucose levels are influenced by carbohydrate and fiber intake. A diet high in carbohydrates and low in fiber can elevate blood glucose levels. The impact of carbohydrate and fiber intake is mediated by masticatory function, which depends on the occlusal contact of the posterior teeth. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the occlusal support zone and blood glucose levels, with the frequency of carbohydrate and fiber consumption actingas moderating variables. This research employed an observational analytic design using a cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of 33 elderly individuals, aged 60 to 74 years, from Kalibening Village, Dukun Subdistrict, Magelang Regency, selected through accidental sampling. Blood glucose levels were measured using the Accu-Chek test, occlusal support zones were assessed with the Eichner index, and the frequency of carbohydrate and fiber intake was recorded through a 4-day food diary questionnaire. The examination data were analyzed using pathanalysis. The results of the analysis showed no significant direct relationship between the occlusal support zone and blood glucose levels (p = 0.76; r = 0.003). However, when the frequency of carbohydrate consumption was included as a moderating variable, a significant relationship was found (p = 0.008). In contrast, when the moderating variable was the frequency of fiber consumption (p = 0.97), no significant relationship was observed. The study concludes thatthere is a relationship between the occlusal support zone and blood glucose levels in the elderly, with the frequency of carbohydrate consumption as a moderating variable. However, no relationship was found between the occlusal support zone and blood glucose levels when the frequency of fiber consumption was the moderating variable.

Abstract

Access to energy and electricity drives the economy, including industrial activities in isolated areas. Currently, the shrimp industry on Bawean (an isolated area) is facing the problem of many unserved power needs. Thus, this study aims to design hybrid renewable energy for the productive sector. There are two configurations, namely configuration 1 (PV SYSTEM, WIND TURBINE SYSTEM, GRID, BESS) and configuration 2 (PV SYSTEM, GRID, BESS), which find the potential for solar and wind radiation very suitable for renewable energy sources. Thus, based on the HOMER simulation, the best alternative solution is configuration 1 which utilizes PV SYSTEM (8.9 MW), 2 Wind Turbine System (1.6 MW), and 3 BESS, resulting in the lowest LCOE value of 0.137 $/kWh. The results of configuration 1 can meet the electricity needs of Bawean Island and shrimp ponds with the lowest LCOE value, so it can potentially increase productive sectors such as shrimp ponds.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of Augment Reality (AR) media on breaststroke swimming skills in students of the Faculty of Sports, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. The research method used in this study is a pseudo-experimental method. The research design implemented was a nonequivalent control group design. The study involved 30 students as subjects. Data collection in this study using breaststroke swimming skills test. The data analysis used was an intergroup t-test (independent t-test), which distinguishes breaststroke swimming skills between the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group received breaststroke swimming lessons using AR media, while the control group was taught breaststroke swimming with conventional methods. The results of this study indicated a significant difference in breaststroke swimming skills between the experimental group and the control group. Data were analysed using paired sample t-test and N-Gain Score. The results of this research showed the average results of the N-Gain Score calculation in the experimental group (60.6%) and the control group (30.6%). This shows that breaststroke swimming learning media using AR media is more effective than learning media with conventional media. The conclusion in this study is that learning breaststroke swimming using AR media has a significant effect on improving breaststroke swimming skills in students of the Faculty of Sports, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta.
