The objective of this research is to examine the perception of senior high school students in Indonesian in interpreting physical education teachers. This research used a mixed method and descriptive analysis. Qualitative data were collected from questionnaire by completing the statement “my physical education teacher…?”. Quantitative data were produced from the total amount of most frequently used words. The total respondents were 237 Indonesian students who were chosen randomly based on their willingness to fill in the questionnaire prepared and participants were then determined using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed under the noticing, collecting, and thinking about interesting things phases. The results show the frequently used words were: ‘kind’, ‘cool’, ‘cheerful’, ‘friendly’, and ‘firm’. The other results show some words with negative meaning, including: 'infrequently present', 'annoying', 'difficult', and 'fierce'. The term 'ex-' shows non-professional competence. This research finds that the Physical Education teachers were kind, friendly, and patient, delivering lesson passionately and with fun and showed discipline, showing that the Physical Education teachers were reflected as the need for teacher’s competence. However, the negative words appearing limitedly in the questionnaire still require more attention.

The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a sample size of 100 patients. The independent variable was service quality and the dependent variable is satisfaction and loyalty. The instrument used a questionnaire that is tested for its validity and reliability. Data analysis used linear regression with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that respondents stated that the services of the Sumberglagah General Hospital were of high quality at 56%. Respondents who stated that they were very satisfied were 94%. Respondents who stated were very loyal at 93%. The results of the linear regression test showed that p = 0.025 (α = 0.05) that H0 is rejected means that there is an influence between the quality of service of Sumberglagah Hospital in Mojokerto and patient satisfaction. The results of the linear regression test showed that p = 0.015 means that there is an influence between the quality of services of Sumberglagah Hospital in Mojokerto on patient loyalty. The results showed that there were still multiple tasks in the management due to limited resources; the periodization of the training program was not quite right so that the peak performance of students was not as expected; they had not carried out a routine inventory of infrastructure; and they had not implemented tolerance beyond the policy for students who had not paid tuition fees. Conclusions Suggestions Management formulates the latest Standard Operating Procedures and implements them with full integrity. Trainers are obliged to carry out training programs that are appropriate to the program, carry out inventories, and add the latest training infrastructure to support progress in achievement. Management must be more assertive regarding payment policies Education Development Contribution.

Abstract

The number of school-age children with overweight and obesity is increasing in developing countries. This is a risk factor for prosperity improvement followed by lifestyle changes. People with obesity are reported to be more susceptible to caries than people who are not, and the average numbers of caries in permanent molars increase on higher BMI. Dental caries is an infectious disease as a result of demineralization in enamel and dentine which has a relationship with behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between oral health behavior and dental caries among overweight and obese children in Jetis District, Yogyakarta. This research was an analytical observational study with a cross sectional design. One hundred and ninety-six overweight and obese elementary school children in Jetis District were chosen using multistage cluster random sampling. The independent variable was behavior and the dependent variable was dental caries. Behavior variables were measured using questionnaire based on a Likert scale with validity testing (correlation coefficient > 0.30) and reliability testing (Cronbach alpha = 0.819). The caries was measured using teledentisry during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data analysis used Spearman’s correlation analysis. Behavior of maintaining oral and dental health in overweight and obese children had a relationship with caries (p < 0.001 and r = -0.410). There is no difference between overweight and obese children in maintaining their oral health behavior. The better the oral health behavior of the overweight and obese children, the lower the incidence of caries.

Abstract

Oral health problems among elementary school children are still very common. One of the contributing factors is behavior in maintaining oral hygiene. Behavior is established from knowledge which will then stimulate changes in attitudes and practice. Efforts to enhance knowledge in children can be achieved through counseling. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of oral health counseling using traditional folklore video media on knowledge in children aged 8-9 years. This was quasi-experimental research with a two group pre-test and post-test design. Sampling was conducted using multistage cluster random sampling with a total sample of 112 children aged 8-9 years in elementary schools. The sample was divided into 2 groups: 56 children using traditional folklore video as the intervention group and 56 children using conventional video as the control group. Knowledge variables were measured using a questionnaire; most of the data were not normally distributed so data analysis was carried out using the Mann-Whitney U Test. The results of the difference analysis using the Mann-Whitney U Test at pre-post 2 showed a significant increase in knowledge in both groups. The median knowledge score of the traditional folklore video group showed a greater increase compared to the conventional video group by 13 (6.6 - 20) (p < 0.001). This study concluded that oral health counseling using traditional folklore video is more effective in increasing oral health knowledge in children aged 8-9 years compared to conventional video media.
