Abstract

One of the basic competencies in class VIII contains the Pythagorean theorem. Surveys on students who have studied it, they still remember that the proposition is related to a right triangle. Interviews with students who understand the theorem show that they have a formulation of the relationship between the length of the hypotenuse and the side of the right angle. In detail they do not understand why this relationship can occur. That's because they memorized the formula instead of understanding it. For this reason, using the ADDIE development model, through this research a Scientific Learning-Based learning module was developed. This module was developed with the aim of helping self-study students to find their understanding of the Pythagorean theorem. Before being distributed, this module is analyzed to determine the validity and practicality of the module. The results of the study indicate that the module is valid, in accordance with the material, language and also there are scientific learning steps. Then, this module is said to be practical because through observation and interviews, the propositional module has met the criteria for practice assessment including, self-instructional, self-contained, stand-alone, adaptive, and user friendly.

Abstract

AbstrakMasih perlu ditingkatnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, menunjukkan bahwa perlu adanya analisis yang baik dan tepat untuk merancang langkah perbaikan yang efektif. Analisi kemampuan komunikasi matematis dapat memberikan deskripsi yang jelas berkaitan dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal berciri literasi numerasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 6 siswa kelas VIII-B SMP Negeri 1 Pasrujambe. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes tulis dan lembar pertanyaan tes lisan. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan tahap akhir. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini terbagi menjadi tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh 4 kategori, antaralain: siswa dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis sedang dan komunikasi matematis lisan tinggi, siswa dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis sedang dan komunikasi matematis lisan sedang, siswa dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis rendah dan komunikasi matematis lisan sedang, serta siswa dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis rendah dan komunikasi matematis lisan rendah. AbstractThe necessity to improve students' mathematical communication skill indicates that a good and appropriate analysis is required to design effectively corrective measures. An analysis of mathematical communication skills could provide convinced descriptions related to students' mathematical communication abilities. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to describe students' mathematical communication abilities in solving numerical literacy questions. The participants of this study were six students of class VIII-B of SMP Negeri 1 Pasrujambe. The method used was a qualitative approach, specifically descriptive research. This study utilized written test sheets and oral test question sheets. This study was conducted through the stages of planning, executing, and finalizing stage. The data analysis technique was divided into three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study obtained 4 categories, including students with moderate written mathematical communication skills and high oral mathematical communication, students with moderate written mathematical communication skills and moderate oral mathematical communication skills, students with low written mathematical communication skills and moderate oral mathematical communication  as well as students with low written mathematical communication skills and low oral mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

Analytical thinking and mathematical communication are abilities included in the learning process objectives. This study aims to describe students' analytical thinking skills and mathematical communication using the online group investigation cooperative learning model. The subjects of this research were 30 students of class VIII-C. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data to determine the implementation of learning and the ability to think analytically and communicate mathematically are observations, documentation, and tests. The study results show that the online group investigation type cooperative learning model implementation takes place following the steps of group investigation learning. The results of the ability to think analytically and communicate mathematically meet all indicators. The distinguishing indicator of analytical thinking ability is the most widely achieved, and the one that has yet to be completed much is the attributing indicator. So that students' analytical thinking skills have an analytical category. The most widely conducted indicator of mathematical communication ability is the indicator of expressing mathematical ideas in writing. What has yet to be widely achieved is the indicator of analyzing and evaluating mathematical concepts. So that students' mathematical communication skills have a mathematical category.

Abstract

Numerasi merupakan kemampuan untuk menerapkan pengetahuan matematika di berbagai konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Numerasi menjadi salah satu kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki seorang individu di abad 21. Namun faktanya, numerasi siswa Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata skor matematika siswa Indonesia pada PISA yang berada dibawah rata-rata skor dunia. Numerasi dapat ditingkatkan melalui bahan belajar yang mendukung perkembangan numerasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan aplikasi modul dan evaluasi mandiri berorientasi numerasi yang valid, efektif, dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Tahap implementasi dilakukan terhadap 30 orang siswa kelas XI MAS Al-Asy’ariyah, Medan Krio. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi modul dan evaluasi mandiri berorientasi numerasi valid, efektif, dan praktis. Peningkatan numerasi siswa tergolong tinggi dengan nilai n-gain sebesar 0,804 pada skala 0-1. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan rata-rata skor pretest-posttest siswa dari 54 menjadi 91 pada skala 0-100.Numeracy is the ability to apply mathematical knowledge in various contexts of daily life. Numeracy is one of the basic abilities that an individual must have in the 21st century. But in fact, the numeration of Indonesian students is still relatively low. This can be seen from the average score of Indonesian students' mathematics on PISA which is below the world average score. Numeracy can be improved through learning materials that support the development of numeracy. This study aims to produce valid, effective, and practical numeration-oriented application of module and self-evaluation. This research is a development research conducted using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The implementation phase was carried out on 30 students of class XI MAS Al-Asy'ariyah, Medan Krio. The results of the development show that the numeration-oriented application of module and self-evaluation is valid, effective, and practical. The increase in student numeration is high with an n-gain value of 0.804 on a scale of 0-1. This can be seen from the increase in the average pretest-posttest scores of students from 54 to 91 on a scale of 0-100.

Abstract

Abstrak. Komunikasi menjadi alat bagi siswa untuk menyampaikan pemikirannya agar dapat dipahami oleh orang lain. Mengingat pentingnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis, guru bertugas untuk membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan tersebut. Terdapat banyak cara yang bisa digunakan oleh guru, salah satunya penggunaan bahan ajar yang tepat guna. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengembangan modul yang menekankan pada kemampuan komunikasi siswa agar bisa digunakan sebagai bahan ajar guru dalam membantu siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Batu dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 23 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Mixmethod dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil dari validasi modul, uji keefektifan, uji normalitas, dan uji Wilcoxonmenyatakan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tertulis siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan bahan ajar modul dengan interpretasi “sedang”. Hasil uji kepraktisan juga menyatakan bahwa modul ini praktis untuk digunakan.Berdasarkan pernyataan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan valid, efektif, dan praktis untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar guru dalam membantu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya.Kata Kunci: Bahan Ajar, Komunikasi Matematis Tertulis, Modul, Relasi dan Fungsi.

Abstract

Natural Sciences (IPA) is one of the learning content in the curriculum applied in Indonesia. Science learning is used to train students to have a scientific attitude with sensitivity to the surrounding environment with the acquisition of Science Scientific Concepts in elementary school is very important to build a strong understanding of natural phenomena and the world around them. This research is a type of collaborative Classroom Action Research (PTK) by collaborating between researchers and class teachers. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by describing an event that occurred at school with the subject of the study, namely grade IV students at SD Muhammadiyah 8 KH Mansur Malang City. Other supporting data in this study are observations, interviews, documentation. Based on the results of research conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 8 KH Mansur Malang City, it can be concluded that after processing student learning outcome data, especially science subjects, researchers analyzed the data using comparative descriptive techniques, namely by comparing the results of pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II tests. Based on the percentage of learning outcomes with learning using the PBL model with the help of experimental activities, students have a better understanding of science conceptsBased on research that has been done that the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by experimental activities using simple tools, namely paper and wax, makes learning done by solving problems through experiments, thus encouraging students to have fun, develop their minds, and actively participate in ongoing learning. Based on the experiments that have been conducted, it can be concluded that thermal energy can be converted into motion energy.

Abstract

This qualitative study analyzes students' mathematical communication while solving minimum competency assessment-type questions concerning their levels of math anxiety. The study involved 27 students in class VII B at Junior high school, with six junior high school students as subjects. Data were gathered through math anxiety questionnaires, tests with minimum competency assessment question types, and student presentation assessment sheets. The completed questionnaire was used to select subjects for the tests and presentations. The test sheet contains questions on the AKM type of flat material and three description questions. The data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion stages. Findings indicate that students' math anxiety levels were high, medium, and low, with moderate anxiety being the most common. While no students showed low mathematical communication skills, three students were found to have average skills, and three students demonstrated high mathematical communication abilities.

Abstract

Students' creative thinking skills and different self-efficacy cause weaknesses for students in solving problems presented in learning mathematics. This study aimed to determine how implementing video-assisted problem-based learning affects students' self-efficacy and creative thinking abilities. This research method uses quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design. The study sample population of class XII IPA 2 students consisted of 34 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the class XII IPA 1 and control classes. Statistical analysis of N-Gain score of self-efficacy sig 0,014 0,05 and creative thinking skills sig = 0,003 0,05. The study results show significant differences in self-efficacy and creative thinking skills of students in the experimental class compared to the control class. This indicates the enormous difference in gains between experimental and control classes. Thus, the influence of problem-based learning assisted by video animation on students' self-efficacy and creative thinking abilities is very large. Problem-based learning model with animated videos can organize students in informing learning objectives so that students have the motivation to be actively involved in problem-solving activities.Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dan self eficacy yang berbeda menyebabkan kelemahan bagi siswa untuk memecahkan masalah yang disajikan dalam pembelajaran Matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan video animasi terhadap kemampuan efikasi diri dan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasi experiment. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII IPA 2 terdiri dari 34 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas XII IPA 1 terdiri 30 siswa sebagai kelas pembanding. Analisis statistik tes berpikir kreatif memperoleh nilai signifikasi = 0,003 0,05 and efikasi diri sebesar 0,014 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara berpikir kreatif dan efikasi diri siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian bahwa pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan video animasi terhadap efikasi diri dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sangat besar. Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan video animasi dapat mengorganisasikan siswa dalam menginformasikan tujuan pembelajaran sehingga siswa memiliki motivasi untuk terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

AbstrakSMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gending merupakan sekolah menengah pertama binaan Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah di kawasan Gending, Probolinggo. Berdasarkan observasi awal dan diskusi dengan mitra permasalahan prioritas yang dihadapi mitra yaitu: 1) mitra belum menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka, 2) kurangnya pemahaman guru-guru sekolah mitra mengenai Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, dan 3) kurangnya pemahaman guru-guru sekolah mitra mengenai pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dalam Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dalam 4 tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan IKM, pelaksanaan pendampingan IKM, evaluasi. Tahap persiapan dilakukan dengan kegiatan pra survey, pelaksanaan Kerjasama dengan SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gending Probolinggo, dan mempersiapkan bahan pelatihan. Selanjutnya tahap pelatihan IKM yang dilaksanakan di SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gending kemudian dilanjut pendampingan penyusunan modul ajar yang terdiri dari 3 pertemuan daring dan pengumpulan tugas akhir berupa modul ajar. Kegiatan terakhir yaitu tahap evaluasi dilakukan untuk melihat ketercapaian kegiatan pengabdian. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan ketercapaian pada kegiatan pelatihan sebesar 100% dan 83% pada kegiatan pendampingan penyusunan modul ajar. Kata kunci: pelatihan; pendampingan; IKM; modul ajar AbstractMuhammadiyah 3 Gending Junior High School is the first middle school supported by the Muhammadiyah Association in the Gending area, Probolinggo. Based on initial observations and discussions with partners, the priority problems facing partners are: 1) partners have not implemented the Independent Curriculum, 2) lack of understanding of partner school teachers regarding the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum, next we call it IKM, and 3) lack of understanding of partner school teachers regarding the development of learning tools in the IKM. Service activities are carried out in 4 stages, namely preparation, IKM training, IKM mentoring, and evaluation. The preparation stage was carried out with pre-survey activities, implementing collaboration with SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gending Probolinggo, and preparing training materials. The next stage of IKM training was carried out at Muhammadiyah 3 Junior High School, followed by assistance in preparing teaching modules which consisted of 3 online meetings and collecting a final assignment in the form of a teaching module. The final activity is the evaluation stage which is carried out to see the achievements of service activities. Based on the results of this service activity, it shows that achievement in training activities was 100% and 83% in mentoring activities in preparing teaching modules. Keywords: training; mentoring; IKM; teaching module
