Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the development of Islamic schools in Singkawang during the Dutch East Indies colonial era (1901-1942). This era was marked by the transformation of Islamic education from traditional to formal, which was driven by the need to integrate general subjects. Interestingly, Islamic schools were able to exist amidst the rapid growth of Catholic Mission schools and the dominance of the Chinese community in Singkawang.Based on the results of the study through historical methods with the stages of heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography, it shows the following. Traditional Islamic education still dominated in the early 20th century through pengajian and alim-ulama as teachers. This practice occurred in several places around Singkawang, such as in the large mosque (Jami), surau in Selakau led by H. Muhammad As'ad, Semelagi, and other Malay villages. Driven by the development of Pan-Islamism, the existence of educated natives, and the wild school ordinance, traditional Islamic education was transformed into formal schools. Islamic schools that were once established in Singkawang during this era included the Islamiyah School in the city center, Madrasah in Semelagi Besar, Semelegi Kecil, Sungai Daun, Setapuk Besar, Madrasah Diniyah Setapuk, and Ahhadiah School Sedau. The curriculum used continued to emphasize Islamic religious studies plus general subjects in the three-year Volkschool and the five-year Standaarschool. The existence of Islamic schools in this city has encouraged the birth of the national movement with the establishment of various national movement organizations.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan perkembangan sekolah Islam di Singkawang pada era kolonialisme Hindia-Belanda (1901-1942). Era ini ditandai dengan terjadinya transformasi pendidikan Islam dari corak tradisional ke formal, yang didorong perlunya pengintegrasian pelajaran umum. Hal ini menjadi menarik bahwa sekolah Islam mampu eksis di tengah pesatnya sekolah Misi Katolik dan dominasi masyarakat Tionghoa di Singkawang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian melalui metode sejarah dengan tahapan heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi, menunjukkan hal berikut. Pendidikan Islam tradisional masih mendominasi pada awal abad ke-20 lewat pengajian dan alim-ulama sebagai pengajarnya. Praktik ini terjadi di beberapa tempat sekitar Singkawang, seperti di masjid besar (jami’), surau di Selakau pimpinan H. Muhammad As’ad, Semelagi, dan kampung-kampung Melayu lainnya. Didorong berkembangnya paham Pan Islamisme, keberadan bumiputera terpelajar, dan ordonansi sekolah liar, pendidikan Islam bercorak tradisional itu bertransformasi menjadi sekolah formal. Sekolah Islam yang pernah berdiri di Singkawang di era ini antara lain Islamiyah School di pusat kota, Madrasah di Semelagi Besar, Semelegi Kecil, Sungai Daun, Setapuk Besar, Madrasah Diniyah Setapuk, dan Ahhadiah School Sedau. Kurikulum yang digunakan tetap menekankan pelajaran agama Islam ditambah pelajaran umum yang ada di Volkschool tiga tahun dan Standaarschool lima tahun. Keberadaan sekolah Islam di kota ini telah mendorong lahirnya pergerakan kebangsaan dengan berdirinya berbagai organisasi pergerakan nasional.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to obtain information and clarity regarding the evaluation analysis of history learning based on the Edmodo application at SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak. This research uses qualitative research methods in descriptive form. The data sources for this research are history subject teachers, curriculum leaders, students and data in the form of interview results. The results of the research can be concluded that. (1) in planning history learning using the Edmodo application, the teacher has planned learning evaluation activities to be achieved on competency achievement indicators, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. (2) in implementing history learning based on the Edmodo application, the teacher gives questions and assignments with a time limit to improve cognitive and affective aspects, while in the psychomotor aspect, the teacher gives students assignments for making videos. (3) the obstacles encountered while using the Edmodo application as a media for evaluating history learning are students' lack of attention to the teacher's instructions in the process of working on questions and some students often experience network problems when doing assignments using this application.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan konten youtube sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMAS Mujahidin Pontianak. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi sumber data adalah guru, siswa dan perangkat pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan beberapa tahapan yaitu Data Collection, Data Reduction, dan Verification. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Strategi yang digunakan guru dalam membuat konten youtube sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMAS Mujahidin Pontianak yaitu dengan guru melakukan tahap perencanaan pembelajaran dengan materi pembahasan mencakup KD 3.3 dan 3.4 dengan tema reformasi gereja, metode digunakan yaitu metode diskusi dan sumber pembelajaran memanfaatkan buku paket sejarah kelas XI IPS serta sumber lainnya, tahapan persiapan ditandai dengan persiapan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa pada saat menggunakan media konten youtube didalam kelas, langkah-langkah pelaksanaan dengan menggunakan video konten youtube.(2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan konten youtube sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMAS Mujahidin Pontianak berjalan kurang optimal, terdapat langkah pembelajaran tidak terlaksana sesuai dengan hasil telaah RPP yaitu tidak terdapatnya KI, KD, Indikator, sintak pembelajaran, evaluasi secara keseluruhan, penggunaan metode didalam kelas serta guru menutup pembelajaran dengan tidak berdoa. (3) Kendala dalam penggunaan konten youtube sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMAS Mujahidin Pontianak yaitu pada sarana alat-alat penunjang penggunaan media yang masih kurang dan kendala teknis (jaringan internet). Kata Kunci: Konten youtube, Media Pembelajaran, Pembelajaran Sejarah Abstract This study aims to determine the use of youtube content as a medium for learning history in class XI social studies students of SMAS Mujahideen Pontianak. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. In this study, the sources of data are teachers, students and learning tools. The results showed that (1) The strategy used by teachers in creating youtube content as a medium for learning history in class XI social studies students of SMAS Mujahideen Pontianak is with teachers conducting the learning planning stage with discussion materials including KD 3.3 and 3.4 with the theme of church reform, the method used is the discussion method and learning resources utilizing the history package book class XI social studies and other resources, The preparation stage is marked by learning preparation carried out by teachers and students when using youtube content media in the classroom, implementation steps using YouTube content videos. . (2) The implementation of learning using youtube content as a medium for learning history in class XI social studies students of SMAS Mujahideen Pontianak runs less optimally, there are learning steps that are not carried out in accordance with the results of the RPP study, namely the absence of KI, KD, indicators, learning syntax, overall evaluation, use of methods in the classroom and teachers closing learning by not praying. (3) Obstacles in the use of youtube content as a medium for learning history in class XI social studies students of SMAS Mujahideen Pontianak are in the facilities to support the use of media that are still lacking and technical obstacles (internet network). Abstract

This study aims to explore information about the use of Haji Ismail Mundu's biography as a history lesson at SMA Pelangi Nusantara. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Then use the stages of data analysis in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, verification / conclusion. The results showed the role of Hajj Ismail Mundu as Mufti, making it a forum for the public to ask questions about religious problems that came from various royal circles and from both the general public. Then there are three stages in the use of the biography of Haji Ismail Mundu, namely: the planning stage, the application stage and the Evaluation. The use of Haji Ismail Mundu's biography in its planning is adjusted to local historical material as well as the needs and understanding of the learners. Teachers use discussion and lecture methods. Before inviting students to discuss, the teacher provided material identifying the figure of Haji Ismail Mundu with the aim that students get an idea of the figure of Haji Ismail Mundu. The form of evaluation given to student participants is a description of the material presented. Based on the results of this study, several obstacles were found such as limited learning time on this local history material because it was not included in the basic competence content, the solution carried out by the teacher was to apply the group discussion method, this could save time so that all material could be studied.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media berupa modul pembelajaran digital pada sub materi Renaissance melalui aplikasi Canva untuk mahasiswa pendidikan sejarah. Tahapan dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini mengadopsi metode ADDIE, yakni analisis (analysis), desain (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Pada tahap pengembangan, ahli materi memberi penilaian “sangat layak” untuk produk yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti. Ahli media dan ahli bahasa juga memberi penilaian “sangat layak”. Pada tahap implementasi, peneliti melakukan uji coba terbatas dengan melibatkan 20 mahasiswa. Hasil dari tahap implementasi ini, mahasiswa memberi penilaian dengan kriteria “sangat layak”.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss the History and Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of SMP Suster Pontianak as a Source for Learning History. This study employs a qualitative research method with a historical approach, which includes topic selection, data source collection, source criticism, interpretation, and writing. The results of this research trace the historical development of educational institutions established by the Sisters of the SFIC Congregation (Sororum Fransciscallum ab Immaculata, Conception A Beata Matre Dei) in West Kalimantan, particularly the Pontianak Sister Junior High School. Starting with the arrival of five SFIC sisters in 1906, this institution has grown with a focus on service in the fields of health and education. The preservation of buildings while maintaining their historical value and original architecture can serve as a source for learning history. In addition, through interviews with the school principal, it was revealed that students are taught to preserve that cultural heritage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran Fun Thinkers Book yang layak digunakan untuk membantu kegiatan pembelajaran pada materi kekayaan Budaya Indonesia mata pelajaran IPAS kelas IV sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan mengadaptasi model ADDIE. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu 10 peserta didik, 1 Wali kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 36 Pontianak Selatan dan 3 orang validator ahli yang terdiri dari ahli desain ahli media dan ahli materi. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media Fun Thinkers Book sudah melalui empat tahap, yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, dan Implementation. Kelayakan produk media pembelajaran Fun Thinkers Book pada aspek desain memperoleh nilai sebesar 95% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”, pada aspek media memperoleh nilai sebesar 86% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”, dan pada aspek materi memperoleh nilai sebesar 95,5% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Kelayakan produk media pembelajaran Fun Thinkers Book memperoleh nilai sebesar 91,5% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”.

Abstract

The implementation of the independent curriculum expects students to have critical thinking skills, this is also stated in the Pancasila student profile regarding critical reasoning. This is in line with the competencies needed in the 21st century related to 4C (critical thinking, creativity, collaborations, communication skills). However, students' critical thinking skills cannot be improved just like that, but must be trained continuously based on their level of education. Efforts that can be made by teachers are to innovate in learning activities, one of which is changing conventional LKPD into E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning. This study was conducted with the aim of seeing the effectiveness of using liveworksheets as E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning whether it is effective in improving the critical thinking skills of class X students. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental research type. The collection technique uses observation sheets, test questions and documentation. Data analysis uses Normality Test, Homogeneity, N-gain Test, Percentage. The results of this study indicate (1) that based on the N-gain test, the experimental class obtained a result of 65.57 (quite effective) and the control class 41.76 (less effective); (2) that based on the results of observations in the experimental class regarding the use of E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning which was assessed as very good for improving the critical thinking skills of class X students with observation results of 95. It can be concluded that the use of live worksheets as E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning is quite effective for training the critical thinking skills of class X students with effectiveness results of 65.57 (quite effective).

Abstract

CT This research was conducted to investigate how the mind mapping model isapplied in history learning for tenth-grade students at SMAN 3 Pontianak. The type ofresearch used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The informants in this study arehistory teachers, tenth-grade students, and the curriculum representative. Data collectiontechniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniquesconsist of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Theresults of this study indicate that: First, the planning of history lessons conducted by theteacher includes the preparation of teaching materials in the form of teaching modules,teaching materials, and lesson content. Secondly, the implementation of history learningconsists of introductory, core, and closing activities. Learning activities using the mindmapping model have not been optimal, as they do not align with the teaching modulespreviously prepared by the teacher. Thirdly, the assessment of history learning in terms ofknowledge and skills is conducted through assigned tasks, while the attitude aspect isevaluated through attendance.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan membahas sejarah Sintang dari tahun 1822 – 1900-an yang dibagi dalam empat periode yaitu Kerajaan Sintang, Sintang pada masa Kolonial Belanda dan Jepang, Sintang pada Abad 19, dan Sintang pada Abad 20. Metode penelitiannya menggunakan metode sejarah yang terdiri dari pengumpulan sumber (heuristik), kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi atau penulisan sejarah. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Sintang merupakan bagian dari wilayah Kalimantan Barat yang terletak di bagian hulu Sungai Kapuas. Sejak masa Kerajaan Sintang sampai masuknya Belanda dan Jepang, Sintang memiliki sejarah yang panjang. Pemerintahan, perekonomian, serta pemukiman di Sintang tidak lepas dari peran penting Sungai Kapuas dan Sungai Melawi. Tempat pertemuan antara kedua sungai tersebut menjadi pusat pemerintahan dan perekonomian berkembang karena letaknya yang strategis. Selain itu juga sebagai pusat pertahanan karena dapat memantau kapal keluar masuk dari dari daerah hulu. Kerajaan Sintang, Pemerintahan Belanda, dan kawasan perekonomian etnis Tionghoa berkembang di daerah tersebut. Perkembangan perekonomian dan pemerintahan inilah yang membuat masyarakat memilih untuk menetap dan membuka pemukiman tidak jauh dari tempat tersebut serta mempengaruhi pada periode-periode selanjutnya.Abstract:  This study aims to discuss the history of Sintang from 1822-the 1900s, which is divided into four periods, namely the Sintang Kingdom, Sintang during the Dutch and Japanese Colonial times, Sintang in the 19th Century, and Sintang in the 20th Century. The research method uses historical methods consisting of collecting sources (heuristics), source criticism, interpretation, and historiography or historical writing. The results of this study are that Sintang is part of the West Kalimantan region, which is located in the upper part of the Kapuas River. From the time of the Sintang Kingdom until the entry of the Netherlands and Japan, Sintang has a long history. The government, economy, and settlements in Sintang cannot be separated from the vital role of the Kapuas River and Melawi River. The meeting place between the two rivers becomes the centre of government and the growing economy because of its strategic location. In addition, it is also a defence centre because it can monitor ships in and out of the upstream area. The Sintang Kingdom, the Dutch Government, and the ethnic Chinese economic zone developed in the area. The development of the economy and government made people choose to settle and open settlements not far from the place and affected the following periods.
