Abstract

Sugarcane is a plant that is used as the main ingredient for making sugar. On the other hand, the utilization of bagasse is not optimal, where on average, bagasse is only used as fuel for the production process and for power generation. Bagasse fiber can be processed for the manufacture of composites. The benefits of bagasse fiber as a composite are quite good mechanical properties, noncorrosive, easy to obtain and environmentally friendly. In addition, when compared to synthetic fibers, composites with natural fibers are lighter. Synthetic fiber also has some drawbacks, namely it can cause skin irritation and injure the lungs during the production process. This time, a research was conducted on the effect of alkaline treatment on bagasse fiber. The variation of NaOH concentration is 0% and 3% for 1 hour. The composite was made using 5 mm short fibers arranged randomly and Chopp Matt fibers with a composition of 35%:65%. The composite with the highest tensile strength was obtained at the delignification process variation of 3% NaOH concentration with a tensile strength of 38.25±5.79 MPa. Then the lowest tensile strength occurred at 0% NaOH concentration variation with a tensile strength of 18.74±3.02 MPa.

Abstract

Abstract – The KRSB ship is a hospital ship made by one of the shipping manufacturing companies in Surabaya. On the ship there is a main engine that has an exhaust system. The exhaust system consists of several components, one of which is the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe will be subjected to vibration due to resonance from the main engine. So it is necessary to design a support for the exhaust pipe that is strong and not deformed to support all types of loading. An analysis of the stresses acting on the supports was performed using the Fusion 360 student version software. In this study, we obtained a design drawing that can be used as an alternative in installing supports on the exhaust pipe. In this study, 3 variations of the strut installation were selected. The first concept are choosen, which consists of 9 supports, it has the highest score in the Ulrich concept assessment. Safety factor value is 2.87, capable of receiving a voltage of 60.66 MPa.

Abstract

Damage on FRP Ships in Indonesia is quite common. Damage was often occurs in the hull-deck joint area.The hull-deck joint of the FRP ship is an important thing in reference to the quality and structural strength of the FRP ship. Currently, researchers research about hull-deck joint method of FRP ships in order to obtain the proper joint method and result of joint according to the material and use of a structure.An example of a joint method that is often used especially in composite materials is the adhesive joint method. In the adhesive joint method, the right type of adhesive is a very influential part of the structural strength of a joint. This final project is focused on analyzing and comparing several joint designs for FRP material where examples of its application are on the hull and deck joints of FRP ships to find out which design are the best structural strength using ANSYS software. The simulation results of 45,000 N load shear stress obtained a shear strength value of 470.60 MPa for designs with epoxy film(design 1), 470.69 MPa for designs with epoxy(design 2),and 470.72 MPa for designs with a polyester(design 3). Through manual calculation and analysis, the joints with polyester are best.

Abstract

In the shipbuilding sector, nuclear reactors are one component that important in nuclear powered ships. A ship that has an identity as a nuclear powered ship has been applied in various developed countries to be used as war interests and as an icebreaker. Its like radioisotope, until now it has experienced growth and regeneration in the fourth, where generation IV is called the most innovative reactor. The best known technology is PWR. However, this PWR will be simplified in the concept of being small compartment. The concept will be a compartment structure analysis concept at the writing of this thesis. Therefore, this analysis is carried out to find out how to analyse the compartment structure in its application on nuclear powered vessels. The reactor’s nuclear compartment design will be analysed with autodesk fusion 360. The method used id finite element analysis. The compartment structure conditions that will be discussed are when exposed within effect of neutron. These condition, will be examined from changes in material properties and how the results of the efficiency of stress and strain in small compartment nuclear reactors. The material used is stainless steel 304, steel and polyethylene. The efficiency result obtained were 4,77%.

Abstract

This study, an analysis of the construction of the c-hook holder will be carried out with ASTM A36 material, to determine the strength of the c-hook holder structure. The analysis process uses the FEM (Finite Element Methods) approach using FEM-based software. The validity of the simulation results is carried out on the value of the results of the von misses stress and deflection. Validation of the simulation results is done by manual calculations. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the stress that occurs at a predetermined load using ASTM A36 material is 180 MPa. The results of the analysis of the deflection that occurs in ASTM A36 material is 0.39 mm. From the results of the safety factor analysis, the safety factor value was 1.3. From the results of the analysis, the stress, deflection, and safety factor using the material are still below the predetermined limits, so that the c-hook holder construction can be said to be safe. Based on the results of the design and analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the c-hook holder with ASTM A36 material can be used and has high security.

Abstract

In the execution of Rapid Prototyping or modeling, almost all industries or companies rely on the usefulness of this 3D Printer machine. Of course, by making a prototype model case that has large dimensions, widths or volumes, the new engine users can redistribute the modeling images to bedivided into several parts or segments. This is done using an assembly technique with several prototype models that have been made, the time needed is long enough to redraw and print part models that will be assembled as we want. With these problems, the design and modification of frame construction are needed in accordance with the expansion of the work area on the axis of the 3D Printer FDM technology. It is expected that with the expansion of this area, the world of industry or manufacturing is able to apply its ideas in real and direct ways by utilizing 3D printing machines. The results of the design of this 3D printer machine are that it can move mechanically the x axis by 680 mm, the y axis by 565 mm, and the z axis by 635mm. This machine has a performance with a print area of the x-axis x 300 mm, y axis 300 mm and z axis 350 mm with the precision of the print specimen 0.1 mm - 0.2 mm.

Abstract

Abstract – Among shipyard repair companies there is a constraint, which is the condition of the workarea that requires a tool or equipment that can be used to accommodate ship access which can reachdifferent height of the deck from the ship caused by tides. Even though there is existing product, theconditions often a fixed stairs which can cause rapid corrosion due to direct contact with the weather.Therefore, based on the mentioned problem, it is necessary to design a new lifting tool that can avoidthose problems. In this research, the new lifting tool design is called an Accommodation Ladder andGangway Portable. This equipment are not fixed and can be adjusted in terms of height whichdirectly can solved the problem at the deck area. Several steps will be carried out which will includedata to be appointed, lifting equipment planning, strength analysis and also the assembly processesfor the prototype. In order to meet the strength of the staircase restraint, it is necessary to analyze thestrength of the structure using the finite element method. After analysis, the FEM stress value wassmaller than the permissible stress, which means that it's acceptable and safe with the ratio of 166.67N/mm2 ? 157.2 N/mm2. For the lifting system in the lifting process, it was planned to use 16x9 1fcWire Rope with a diameter of 10 mm using 2 pulleys with a diameter of 100 mm. This operation usesa manual winch and it can be portable by using the High Duty Wheel.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi industri menuntut tenaga kerja yang tidak hanya mahir dalam keterampilan teknis manual, tetapi juga mampu menguasai perangkat lunak desain teknik seperti AutoCAD. SMK sebagai pencetak tenaga kerja siap pakai memiliki peran penting dalam membekali siswanya dengan kompetensi digital yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia industri. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa SMK PGRI 4 Surabaya dalam bidang gambar teknik melalui pelatihan penggunaan AutoCAD. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pelatihan berbasis praktik langsung, demonstrasi, serta pendampingan proyek sederhana. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 35 siswa kelas XI dari jurusan Teknik Gambar Bangunan dan Teknik Pemesinan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa dalam menggunakan AutoCAD, khususnya dalam menggambar objek 2D dan memahami perintah dasar desain. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan motivasi siswa untuk mengembangkan diri dalam bidang desain teknik berbasis digital. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bagian dari strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan vokasi yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi industri

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan kemampuan siswa-siswi SMK Islamiyah Ciputat dalam memahami pentingnya perkembangan website yang dibangun menggunakan metode framework open source. Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi, framework open source menjadi salah satu media yang efektif dalam pengembangan website. Salah satu framework yang banyak digunakan saat ini adalah Laravel, yang berbasis bahasa pemrograman PHP. Kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi edukasi mengenai dasar-dasar PHP, pengenalan framework Laravel, serta panduan instalasi dan penggunaandasar framework tersebut. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri atas sosialisasi, pelatihan interaktif, serta praktik langsung dalam membangun website sederhana menggunakan Laravel. Peserta diberikan pemahaman mulai dari sejarah perkembangan PHP, kemunculan Laravel sebagai framework modern, hingga implementasi pembuatan website secara bertahap. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan siswa-siswi SMK Islamiyah Ciputat dapat memahami konsep dan praktik pengembangan website berbasis Laravel, yang sejalan dengan kurikulum pembelajaran di sekolah. Selain itu, peserta diharapkan mampu mengimplementasikan pengetahuan yang diperoleh untuk mengembangkan aplikasi website secara mandiri menggunakan framework PHP berbasis Laravel.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah menjadikan media sosial bagian dari kehidupan anak, namun sering tanpa disertai pemahaman etika digital yang memadai. Fenomena seperti konten negatif, ujaran kebencian, hoaks, cyberbullying, dan lunturnya sopan santun menjadi ancaman bagi perkembangan akhlak siswa. Penelitian studi pustaka ini bertujuan menganalisis konsep literasi akhlak dalam perspektif Islam serta relevansinya bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) dalam menghadapi tantangan moral akibat penggunaan media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis terhadap literatur ilmiah dan kitab-kitab rujukan Islam untuk mengkaji nilai-nilai akhlak Islam, konsep literasi akhlak, serta tantangan moral di era digital. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa literasi akhlak Islam meliputi akhlak kepada Allah seperti sikap tunduk, taat, ikhlas, dan tawakal, dan akhlak kepada sesama seperti kasih sayang, hormat, dan keadilan. Literasi ini penting dalam membentengi siswa dari pengaruh negatif media sosial. Strategi pendidikan yang efektif melibatkan peran aktif guru dan orang tua melalui keteladanan, dialog interaktif, serta penetapan aturan digital berbasis nilai Islam (targhib wa tarhib). Integrasi nilai akhlak dalam kurikulum dan aktivitas digital siswa, dengan penekanan pada tanggung jawab atas lisan dan tulisan, merupakan langkah strategis dalam membentuk karakter mulia di era digital. Pendidikan literasi akhlak berbasis Islam menjadi fondasi esensial bagi siswa SD untuk menggunakan media sosial secara bijak, bertanggung jawab, dan sesuai ajaran Islam.
