Abstract

Background: Diabetic is one of the main health problems in society throughout the world, so alternatives are needed to help prevent increasing blood sugar levels. In this case, lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are able to inhibit the performance of the alpha glucosidase enzyme in breaking down carbohydrates into glucose, lowering blood sugar levels so that lactic acid bacteria have potential in controlling hyperglycemia.Objectives: The purpose of this work is to assess the potential of four different strains of Lactobacillus that were isolated from lemea to reduce blood sugar levels in mice.Materials and Methods: This study used a pre-test, post-test, control group design for its experimental methodology. Six groups of 18 male mice, aged between 10 and 12 weeks, with body weights ± 25 g each, were formed,three mice comprised each group. This study was divided into 6 treatment groups, namely 1 group given acarboce, 1 group without treatment (aquadest), and 4 treatment groups given 4 types of pure BAL culture. Treatment consisted of P1 (giving L plantarum B1), P2 (giving L plantarum B2), P3 (giving L plantarum S1), and P4 (giving L fermentum S2). The initial stage of the research was to measure the initial fasting blood sugar of the mice, then alloxan was induced at a dose of 4.54 mg/kg BW and given intravenously at 0.1/10 g BW to the mice. After 5 days of alloxan induction, the fasting blood sugar level was measured again. If the blood sugar level was ≥ 127 mg/dL, the mice were declared DM and ready to be given treatment. The dose of acarbose was 0.65 mg/kg bw, and BAL culture with a concentration of 10 8 CFU/mL of 0.1 mg/ 10 g bw for 14 days every 7 days analyzed the blood sugar levels of the mice.Results: The results of the study showed that giving pure culture of L. plantarum from Betung bamboo shoot lemea to mice with type 2 diabetes mellitus (type 2 DM) as treatment P2 was superior to giving acarbose, P1, P3, and P4 in reducing blood sugar levels with pancreatic damage 50% and lower than other treatments, while the pancreas of type 2 DM mice without therapy had the greatest damage score based on histopathological data.Conclusion: Lactic acid bacteria from Lemea can help lower blood sugar levels and prevent the rate of damage to the pancreas of diabetic mice, with the best culture being L. plantarum from Lemea Betung bamboo shoots

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media that can be used by natural science teachers in SD Negeri 050778 by referring to RND-based media development methods (Research and Development) which will later use descriptive analysis methods and development methods. In making Blended Learning media where this media is in the form of learning videos using the Camtasia and Wondershare Quiz Creator application contains recorded video clips and questions about how to sample species, species diversity, and species collection techniques from Phylum Arthropods at SD Negeri 050778 Kampai Langkat Island, North Sumatra. The purpose of this research is descriptive analysis which is to obtain data on the diversity of the Artrhopoda Phylum from the Crustacean class which is very numerous and easily found around the coast of the island of Kampai. Crustacean diversity data obtained were analyzed using species abundance analysis method. Then the learning video development data will then be tested on students and science teachers as a test sample. From the field results found 8 dominant species of the Decapoda Order, including the Mangrove Crab (Scylla serrate), tiger shrimp (Panaeus monodon), Lobster Shrimp (Panulirus sp.), Ghost Crab (Ocypode kuhlii), Crab Uca Viola (Uca vocans) , Uca Petarung Crab (Uca annulipes), Centipede Shrimp (Squilla mantis), Klomang (Bernhardus Pagurus). From the three stations where Crustacea species sampling locations were obtained a diversity index of 0.85% at Station 1 with Species dominance, namely Centipede Shrimp, then 1.76% at Station II with Species dominance, namely Klomang (Pagurus bernhardus), and 0 , 43% with species dominance, namely Shrimp Prawn (Panaeus monodoni). From the analysis calculations of 30 students the results of a large group trial for development data are: (a) a group of 30 students an average of 97.85% (very decent), (2) Science Teacher Test Data of 87% (feasible category).

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are significant differences between student learning outcomes using media concept maps and Audio-Visual media on educational statistics material in the Biology Education Study Program by teaching using concept map media and Audiovisual media. This type of research is experimental research. The sample in this study was only 1 class, 32 students. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes use audio-visual media rather than teaching using concept maps, where obtained 𝑋̅1 = 7.806 and SD 𝑋̅1 = 0.788 for Audiovisual Media, while for conventional teaching obtained 𝑋̅2 = 6.333 and SD 𝑋̅2 = 2.224 While the percentage the increase in student learning outcomes of the experimental class was 35.12% and the percentage of the control class increased by 32.20%. The results of data analysis showed t hit> t table (5.43> 2.00). So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of audio-visual media on learning outcomes in biology statistical material for the fourth semester of the Biology Education Study Program.

Abstract

Persaingan yang ketat di bisnis ritel disebabkan dengan semakin banyaknya bisnis ritel luar negeri yang memasuki pasar domestik. Sejahtera Bersama Ritel Indonesia (SBRI) adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang ritel, kendala yang biasanya ditemukan pada PT.SBRI dengan sistem yang berjalan saat ini adalah pada saat melakukan proses pembayaran hutang dagang terhadap supplier, dimana pada saat akan melakuan proses pembayaran sering terjadi keterlambatan data serta laporan yang disajikan dari aplikasi tersebut belum bisa maksimal, sesuai dengan harapan dari pihak manajemen atau perusahaan. Untuk menyajikan laporan yang lebih baik kepada manajemen bisa diatasi dengan dibuatkan sistem database terintegrasi(terpusat) pada satu server database untuk lebih mempermudah pihak manajemen mendapatkan data atau laporan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan perancangan aplikasi smartfinance yang bisa memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Dengan adanya smartfinance berbasis web ini dapat mengatasi keterlambatan data yang biasanya membutuhkan waktu 24 jam untuk melakukan transaksi. Maka dengan dibuatnya sistem yang baru ini waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan transaksi tidak kurang dari 1 jam karena sistem database sudah terintegrasi dengan baik.

Abstract

Suhu dan Kelembaban merupakan salah satu hal utama yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap kelancaran dan kualitas suatu jaringan dalam ruang server. Naiknya tingkat suhu dan kelembaban akan memperlambat kinerja satu dengan yang lain dalam proses jaringan.Untuk monitoring nilai suhu dan kelembaban diperlukan alat dan sistem yang dapat mencatat nilai secara otomatis dan Real Time supaya tidak dilakukan pencatatan secara manual. Penelitian ini merancang alat serta sistem monitoring suhu dan kelembaban pada ruang server berbasis web Laravel dengan feedback mengaktifkan alat pendingin pada saat temperature melewati batas standar yang telah ditentukan.Microkontroller yang digunakan adalah Nodemcu esp8266 dengan sensor DHT11 dan modul RTC(Real Time Clock). Metode pengujian dilakukan dengan membandingkan alat ukur dengan thermogygrometer yang sudah terkalibrasi dalam 3 kondisi suhu berbeda yaitu 10ï‚°C, 20ï‚°C, dan 30ï‚°C. Hasil dari pengukuran menunjukan nilai selisih akurasi 0,7 % dari alat pembanding. Nilai suhu dan kelembaban otomatis terkirim ke server database dan bisa lihat pada aplikasi dashboard monitoring berbasis web.

Abstract

Despite the widespread adoption of Lean Manufacturing (LM), its effectiveness in the food industry remains underexplored, particularly regarding the integration of the Quality System (QS). The purpose of this research is to compare QS placement and LM implementation strategies in the food industry. This study utilized a comparative approach, analyzing empirical data from four food processing companies in Indonesia over six months, employing qualitative methods (expert interviews, document analysis) and quantitative analysis. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) with the Box-Behnken design was applied for optimization, while Principal Component Analysis (PCA) identified key variables influencing Lean Manufacturing success. Two implementation strategies were compared: phased implementation with a separate Quality System (Companies A and B) and simultaneous implementation with an integrated Quality System (Companies C and D). The findings revealed that Company A achieved the highest performance, with 88% in 5S and 85% in Just-In-Time (JIT), followed by Company B with 80% in JIT and 75% in 5S. In contrast, companies C and D exhibited lower performance. PCA results indicated that PC1 (80.40%) was associated with on-time delivery and sales growth, whereas PC2 (14.47%) was linked to rejection factors. Companies A and B excelled in PC1, while Companies C and D were more dominant in PC2. These findings suggest that phased implementation of LM tools is more effective than simultaneous application. This research not only addresses a critical gap in the literature but also provides practical insights for food industry practitioners seeking to enhance operational efficiency through Lean Manufacturing.

Abstract

The capital market plays a crucial role in maintaining economic stability within a country by serving as a funding source for companies and offering investment opportunities to the public through various financial instruments such as stocks. Stocks are particularly appealing as a financial instrument because they not only provide companies with the chance to raise funds from investors but also offer investors the opportunity to gain attractive returns. One sector believed to have profit potential is the banking sub-sector. The banking sub-sector is part of the stock market sector involved in financial activities, including services like deposits, lending, and investments. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between free cash flow, accounting profit, and dividend policy on stock returns for companies operating in the banking sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data used in this study were obtained from 12 purposively sampled companies out of a total of 47 in the banking sub-sector during the period from 2018 to 2022. The research employs a quantitative associative method, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The findings of this study indicate that, individually, free cash flow, accounting profit, and dividend policy do not have a significant impact on stock returns. These results suggest that investors may not be able to discern positive signals conveyed by companies through free cash flow, accounting profit, and dividend policy

Abstract

The depletion of petroleum reserves causes petroleum to become more expensive. Of course, dependence on petroleum must be reduced. One of the uses of petroleum is transformer oil which plays a role as an insulator, coolant, and gas solvent. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of changes on the breakdown voltage in vegetable oils. This study used homogeneous semi-spherical electrodes and a distance between the electrodes of 2.5 mm with an alternating test voltage (AC) frequency of 50 Hz. The temp stress in vegetable oils was tested at normal temperatures, 600C, 900C and 1200C. VCO oil at different temperatures gets a breakdown voltage of 38 kV. In olive oil, the highest breakdown voltage is at 1200C, which is 28 kV. Whereas in hazelnut oil there was no change in the breakdown voltage at 900C and 1200C, namely 34 kV.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan pariwisata di Gili Trawangan mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat dan merupakan salah satu andalan pariwisata di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Saat ini Gili Trawangan sudah menjadi destinasi pariwisata tidak hanya dikunjungi wisatawan domestik bahkan didominasi oleh wisatawan mancanegara. Perkembangan pariwisata tersebut telah mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat Gili Trawangan serta telah dapat menciptakan peluang kerja bagi masyarakat di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Pengadaan air bersih untuk kebutuhan pariwisata selama beberapa tahun disuplai dari wilayah Pemenang dengan menggunakan boat/perahu nelayan sehingga harga air bersih menjadi sangat mahal serta ketersediaannya sangat terbatas. Hal demikian yang sering menjadi keluhan dari pengusaha pariwisata. Berdasarkan kendala/ keterbatasan air bersih dalam mendukung pertumbuhan pariwisata di Gili Trawangan maka saat ini telah ada usaha penyulingan air tanah berupa air payau diolah menjadi air tawar. Air tanah yang digunakan berupa air payau yang diambil dengan membuat sumur pada kedalaman 10 meter dan saat ini ini hampir 90% masyarakat dan pariwisata kebutuhan air bersihnya disediakan dari perusahaan yang melakukan penyulingan air tanah tersebut. Usaha penyulingan tersebut perlu mendapatkan perhatian selain sudah membantu penyediaan air bersih untuk pengembangan pariwisata tetapi juga perlu dilakukan usaha pemantauan perubahan aquifer dibawah permukaan sehingga tidak terjadi perubahan terutama penurunan elevasi muka tanah di Gili Trawangan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan pengukuran resistivity lapisan batuan dengan Geolistrik langsung di lokasi penelitian dibeberapa titik dengan bentangan yang sesuai dengan kondisi dilokasi penelitian. Analisis kondisi batuan dan aquifer bawah permukaan mengunakan software RES2DIN. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu berupa nilai resistivity masing-masing batuan penyusun lapisan bawah permukaan serta layer-layer lapisan batuan pada beberapa kedalam dengan berbagai kondisi sifat fisik dan kimianya yang menggambarkan kondisi lapisan aquifer/air tanah dibawah permukaan. Periode pengukuran rentang tahun 2012 dan tahun 2014 kondisi aquifer air tanah pada umumnya tidak menunjukkan perubahan secara signifikan walaupun adanya pengambilan air tanah secara terus menerus. Kedalaman air tanah bebas tidak mengalami penurunan karena pengisian selalu berlangsung dari air laut. Pengisian secara terus menerus ini disebabkan karena lapisan batuan penyusunnya sangat porus sehingga mempermudah masuknya air laut ke daratan menggantikan air yang diambil untuk disuling. Air tanah yang diambil dan disuling yang digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih masyarakat dan dunia usaha pariwisata di Gili Trawangan belum mempengaruhi kedalaman aquifer air tanah di wilayah tersebut
