Abstract

This study aims to map the learning of Arabic in Senior High Schools and Vocational Schools in Malang Regency covering the aspects of 1) teacher qualification, 2) curriculum and development, 3) teaching materials, 4) teaching strategies, 5) instructional media, and 6) evaluation implementation. The research was conducted with a descriptive model. Of the population 183 Senior High School and Vocational Schools, 12 schools were taken using a cluster sampling. The data were collected using questionnaires filled by Arabic teachers in all sample schools. The data analysis was performed according to the steps a) identification of data, b) tabulation of data, c) data grouping, d) data quantification, and e) description of data. This study found (1) all Arabic teachers in Senior High Schools and Vocational Schools in Malang Regency have a standard qualification of Arabic teacher in school, (2) Senior High Schools and Vocational Schools in Malang Regency using the Ministry of Education and Culture KTSP curriculum which was elaborated by teachers into syllabus form and Lesson plans, (3) teaching materials used were in the form of textbooks and student worksheets with various titles and publishers, (4) reading and vocabulary learning was carried out with translation techniques; speaking skills were trained by giving students time to practice dialogue, and writing skills were trained through sentence exercises, copying texts, combining two sentences, and completing paragraphs; (5) teachers utilized instructional media, drawings, original objects, hearing, charts/scheme, or language lab; and (6) the majority of teachers evaluated the lessons at the end of each unit.

Abstract

Today Arabic is no longer the language of the Islamic holy book but has become an international language, the ministry of religion revised the curriculum by adding a special point, namely Arabic learning is directed at communicative. The research method used is content analysis with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique is documentation, while the aim is to determine the suitability of MTs textbooks with CEFR standard measuring instruments. From the results of the analysis it was found that the content of the MTs Arabic textbook material was generally at the level of A1-A2 on the CEFR standard, this level was in accordance with the needs of MTs students, but in terms of presentation it was still not appropriate because the portion of the material was still dominated by understanding the text. it is necessary to readjust the preparation of material that focuses more on the Arabic language needs of students and more contextual and provides a larger portion of language skills practice activities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the common Imla errors in Arabic writing and the development of Imla textbooks based on constructivist theory. This research used the qualitative method and R&D method in terms of Brog and Gall. The results of this research and development are Spelling errors with a total of 403 errors, consisting of writing errors in hamzah qath'i and washl, alif, and lam, ta' marbuthah, hamzah in the middle and at the end of words, long sounds, connecting hijaiyyah letters, connecting words. developed is a book for teaching Imla' based on constructivism theory, and the learning process focuses on exploration, clarification, and application activities. The validity of Imla's textbook is the result of expert validation. The overall quality of the book is "very good". The results of this study indicate that constructivist theory is suitable for teaching Imla' to beginners by presenting exploration at the beginning of learning, clarification in core activities, and application at the end of learning.
