Abstract

In the 21st Century, advances in information and technology have spurred open access to economic learning for preservice teachers. Reinventing competencies needs to be done to keep pace with the advancement of knowledge and technology in the industrial revolution era. This paper aims to investigate the competence of preservice teachers of economics in the industrial revolution era. The literature review is used to find the challenges faced and the competencies needed by prospective economics teachers. Various relevant and credible literature (Science Direct, Taylor Francis, Emerald) for two decades have been fast reviewed and comprehensively to show the phases, levels, knowledge, competencies, and cognitive-noncognitive domains. The review findings reveal the challenges that preservice teachers of economics face as a provision for mastering competencies as teachers in the industrial revolution era. Next, a synthesis of the competency reviews is needed for preservice teachers of economics to present relevant and credible studies. Finally, this paper has implications for competencies that need to be prepared or reinvented through actions and policies that lead to professional economics teachers.

Abstract

In the digital era, leaders are required to be able to integrate technology in the management and operations of educational institutions. According to Khan & khan (2021) digital leadership not only focuses on the use of technology but also how technology can improve the performance of employees and the organisation as a whole based on bibliometric analysis using the VOSviewer application shows that 315 relevant articles were obtained which accounted for 60% of the total articles found that network visualisation that has discussed many research linkages of digital leadership with technology while leadership ledearship with wrok engagement and performance is still small. The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of digital leadership on academic staff performance at HKBP Nommesen University and to investigate how work engagement can mediate the relationship. The research question posed was: ‘is it suspected that digital leadership has a significant effect on work engagement directly’, “is it suspected that digital leadership has a significant effect on employee performance directly”, “is it suspected that work engagement has a significant effect on employee performance through work engagement?”. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that, based on calculations using SmartPLS 4.0 software, there is a significant effect of digital leadership on improving employee performance with path coefficient (0.307) and p-value (0.002 <0.05) with a structural level of influence at a low level (F square = 0.084). There is a significant effect of digital leadership on increasing Wrok Engagement with path coefficient (0.507) and p-value (0.000 < 0.05) with structural influence at moderate level. there is no significant effect of Wrok engagement on improving employee performance with path coefficient (0.149) and p-value (0.115 > 0.05). because there is no significant effect of digital leadership on performance through Wrok engagement as an intervening variable with path coefficient (0.076) and p-value (0.120 > 0.05)

Abstract

The era of globalization and automation has brought fundamental changes to the economic structure and work environment. The integration of digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and automation in industry has not only increased efficiency but also disrupted work practices and human needs. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the traditional paradigm of human development has been replaced by a new adaptive paradigm, which is in line with the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and 5.0. The method used is literature research, which describes various national and international academic sources related to classical human capital theory (Schultz, 1961; Becker, 1964) to modern knowledge economics (Drucker, 1993; Romer, 1990). The results of the study show that human capital development currently involves synergy between technical expertise, digital literacy, critical thinking skills, creativity, cross-field collaboration, and work ethics in a digital environment. This new paradigm emphasizes the importance of lifelong learning, data literacy, and adaptability as the foundation for working effectively in a workplace disrupted by technology. The success of Indonesia's demographic bonus and economic transformation is linked to the ability of the government and educational institutions to improve the education system, increase digital literacy, and strengthen intercultural understanding. This study suggests that human development centered on innovation, creativity, and digital literacy is the primary means of ensuring inclusive and resilient economic growth in the era of globalization and automation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a gamification-integrated Problem Based Learning (PBL) e-module based on Moodle and to examine its feasibility as instructional material for eleventh-grade accounting students at vocational high school. The study was motivated by the low level of students’ critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, particularly in recording trading company transactions, which are still dominated by conventional teaching approaches. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were eleventh-grade accounting students at SMK Negeri 1 Patumbak in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through expert validation involving material experts, media experts, and instructional design experts, as well as product trials including individual testing, small group testing, and large group testing. The results indicate that the gamification-integrated PBL e-module is feasible for use in accounting learning. Material expert validation obtained an average score of 3.9 (78%) categorized as valid, media expert validation obtained a score of 4.15 (83%) categorized as very valid, and instructional design expert validation obtained a score of 4.11 (82%) categorized as very valid. The individual trial resulted in a feasibility percentage of 80% (valid), the small group trial achieved 83% (very valid), and the large group trial reached 93% (very valid). Overall, the e-module achieved an average feasibility score of 83%, categorized as very valid. These findings indicate that the developed e-module meets feasibility criteria in terms of content, media, and instructional design, and has strong potential to support interactive, contextual, and student-centered accounting learning. Abstract

Implikasinya, pemerintah perlu memperkuat stabilisasi pasar keuangan guna memitigasi risiko aliran modal portofolio, sembari mengoptimalkan peluang pengalihan perdagangan dari pergeseran rantai pasok global.   This study is motivated by the transition to slowbalisation due to uncertainty surrounding the trade policies of the United States (US) and China. This study aims to analyze the response and contribution of these shocks to Indonesia's financial sector (IHSG, Exchange Rate) and real sector (FDI, Exports) using Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR) for the period January 2004 to December 2024. The results reveal an asymmetric response: Chinese shocks provide positive trade diversion benefits for exports and trigger Rupiah appreciation, but exert a more persistent downward pressure on the IHSG and trigger a wait-and-see attitude among foreign investors. Conversely, US shocks exert a downward pressure on exports in the long term, although their impact on financial markets is temporary. Variance decomposition confirms that export fluctuations are dominated by US shocks, while FDI, Rupiah, and IHSG volatility are far more sensitive to regional sentiment in China. It is concluded that US uncertainty disrupts global demand channels, while Chinese uncertainty dominates domestic investment and financial market risks. As a result, the government needs to strengthen financial market stabilization to mitigate the risk of portfolio capital flows, while optimizing opportunities for trade diversion from shifts in the global supply chain.
