Abstract

Researchers carried out this research with the aim of describing the application of cognitive learning theory to develop the character of elementary school students in the critical reasoning dimension by using the Quizizz application in Indonesian language lessons. The method used is a qualitative method using a questionnaire. The research was carried out in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year in class V (five) of SDN 4 Bajur, Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency. The results of the numerical analysis show that students have experienced an increase in learning. Before using the Quizizz Application, students showed low interest in reading and analyzing reading. After using the Quizizz Application, students showed improvement in reading and analyzing reading. From this it can be interpreted that using the Quizizz application can increase the activeness and learning outcomes of Indonesian language for class V students at SDN 4 Bajur, Labuapi, West Lombok. ABSTRAKPeneliti melaksanakan penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan teori belajar kognitif untuk mengembangkan karakter siswa SD dalam dimensi bernalar kritis dengan menggunakan aplikasi Quizizz dalam pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan angket. Penelitian  dilaksanakan  pada semester  satu  Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025  di  kelas  V (lima) SDN 4 Bajur, Kecamatan Labuapi, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Hasil analisa angkaet menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan dalam belajar. Sebelum menggunakan Aplikasi Quizizz, siswa menunjukkan minat yang rendah dalam membaca dan menganalisis bacaan. Setelah menggunakan Aplikasi Quizizz, siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dalam membaca dan menganalisis bacaan. Dari sini dapat diartikan bahwa penggunaan Aplikasi Quizizz dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V SDN 4 Bajur, Labuapi, Lombok Barat.

Abstract

This research investigates how the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model affects student engagement and comprehension in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) for fourth graders at UPTD SD Negeri 47 Gedong Tataan. Employing a two-cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) design—each involving planning, execution, observation, and reflection—this study included 20 participants during the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. A validated set of multiple-choice tests was administered before and after the implementation of PBL. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in students' academic performance and active involvement. The mean score rose from 68.5 to 86.25, while the mastery rate increased from 40% to 95%. In addition to academic gains, students also displayed better teamwork and critical thinking skills. The findings underline the potential of combining PBL with differentiated instruction to build an inclusive and effective classroom environment. Therefore, adopting this integrated model is strongly recommended for primary-level IPAS education.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the implementation of a constructivist approach through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in developing the learning independence of fifth-grade students in elementary school on the topic of food chains in IPAS (Science and Environmental Studies) lessons. This research employs a descriptive approach with fifth-grade students as the subjects in an elementary school located in Sei Mencirim, Paya Geli, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation of students' activities during the learning process. The findings of the study indicate that the implementation of constructivist-based learning with the PBL model has a positive contribution to the development of students' learning independence. This can be seen from the seven indicators of learning independence, which include time management, self-assessment of progress, recognizing personal weaknesses, taking responsibility, utilizing learning resources, emotional control, and self-directed learning. The learning design followed six stages of constructivism: situation, grouping, bridging, questioning, demonstration, and reflection, which proved effective in creating an active, collaborative, and meaningful learning environment. Therefore, this approach can be regarded as a relevant and applicable learning strategy to support the achievement of the Merdeka Curriculum objectives.

Abstract

The science learning process at SDN 105337 Pantai Labu Pekan is still focused on teachers and minimal student participation, which has an impact on low student learning outcomes. To overcome these problems, a learning model is needed that is able to increase student involvement actively, enjoyably and is able to stimulate a deeper understanding of science concepts. One alternative that can be applied is the talking stick  learning model assisted by question card media. The purpose of this study was to determine how the use of the talking stick  learning model combined with question card media can improve the science learning outcomes of grade III students of SDN 105337 Pantai Labu Pekan. Because the learning outcomes have met the success indicators, this study was carried out using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach which was carried out in one cycle. The learning process includes planning, implementing activities, observation and reflection. To assess students' understanding of the material, the assessment instrument used was LKPD. Based on the results of the study, 80.95% of students have met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) with the predetermined values ​​and actively participated in the learning process. Thus, the use of the talking stick  model supported by question cards has proven effective in increasing student engagement and science learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the results of Science Learning Outcomes Using the QR-Assisted Quantum Learning Method. This study uses the Quantum Learning Method. The subjects of this study were grade VI students of SD IT Maryam Muraith in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year consisting of 14 students. This study uses a classroom action approach (CAR) consisting of two cycles, each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The instruments used include observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results of the study show that the application of QR-assisted Quantum Learning can significantly improve student learning outcomes. In cycle I, the average student score increased from the low category to the medium category, and in cycle II there was a further increase to reach the high category. This increase occurred because the Quantum Learning method supported by QR media was able to create an interactive learning atmosphere, trigger curiosity, and increase student involvement in the learning process. Thus, the application of this method is recommended as an alternative effective Science learning strategy at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Differentiated Learning Model on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Bandar Sakti in the Natural Sciences (IPA) subject of the Food Chain. Differentiated Learning is applied in an effort to accommodate the diversity of learning needs of students. This study uses the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two fifth grade classes of SD Negeri 2 Bandar Sakti which were randomly selected, namely one class as an experimental group that received Learning with the Differentiated Model, and one class as a Control Group that received Conventional Learning. The data collection instrument was in the form of a validated multiple-choice Learning Outcome Test. Learning outcome data were analyzed using the Independent Samples T-test Statistical Test to determine significant differences between the learning outcomes of the two groups after being given treatment. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences in the learning outcomes of the food chain material between students who learned using the Differentiated Learning Model and students who learned using the Conventional Learning Model. The experimental group showed a higher increase in Learning Outcomes compared to the control group. Thus, it can be concluded that the Differentiated Learning Model is Effective in improving the Science Learning Outcomes of the Food Chain material for grade V students at SD Negeri 2 Bandar Sakti.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes in Pancasila Education subjects in the fifth grade at SDN 1 Rulung Mulya, Natar District. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, and a pretest-posttest design with a non-equivalent control group. The research population consists of 240 fifth-grade students, with 60 students selected as a sample through simple random sampling techniques. The sample is then divided into two groups, namely the experimental group that receives treatment using the PBL model aided by comic media, and the control group that uses traditional learning methods. Data collection is conducted through observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out using descriptive and inferential techniques. The research results show that there is a significant increase in critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes in the experimental group. The average pretest score of the experimental group was 51.17, increasing to 83.67 on the posttest. In contrast, the control group recorded an increase from 54.81 to 80.33. The hypothesis test resulted in a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is below the threshold of 0.05, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This proves that the use of the PBL model has a significant positive effect on improving students' critical thinking skills in Civic Education learning. Abstract

Cognitive processes refer to thinking activities related to a person's level of intelligence, which are largely influenced by how individuals actively manipulate and interact with their environment. This includes the ability to associate, evaluate, and consider an event or incident. In this study, the author formulates the problem of how to apply cognitive learning theory to grade 2 students of SDN 1 Girikarto. The purpose of this study is to understand the application of cognitive learning theory among these students. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach involving grade 2 students as research subjects. Data were collected through three main methods: observation, interviews, and documentation. Observation is used as the main method, interviews aim to explore students' understanding of cognitive learning theory, and documentation functions as supporting data. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and verification and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that cognitive learning theory has been applied to 25 grade 2 students of SDN 1 Girikarto. Based on these findings, the author recommends that teachers utilize cognitive learning theory as one strategy to improve student learning outcomes. The results of the study indicate that the application of cognitive learning theory can be an effective tool to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. Therefore, teachers are advised to apply the principles of this theory in the daily learning process.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas tentang Pengaruh Program Gerakan Literasi Membaca dan Menulis (Gemmas) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Literasi Baca Tulis Siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan pra eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang yang termasuk memiliki nilai kategori rendah pada kemampuan baca tulis sehingga penelitian ini dikatakan sebagai penelitian purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes (pretest – posttest), selanjutnya teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu berupa uji Paired Sample Test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa program Gemmas memiliki pengaruh yang efektif terhadap kemampuan literasi baca tulis pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Hegarmanah yaitu persentase N-Gain sebesar 59,13% > 76% memiliki kategori Cukup Efektif yang diperoleh dari hasil perhitungannya. Dan dapat dilihat dari uji korelasi (2 tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05, ini menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV di MIT Tahfidz Al-Mubarak. Masalah tersebut muncul akibat kurangnya variasi metode pembelajaran yang mampu mengaktifkan daya nalar dan keterlibatan siswa dalam memahami teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman melalui penerapan model scramble. Model ini melibatkan siswa dalam aktivitas menyusun kata, kalimat, dan paragraf acak agar menjadi urutan teks yang logis, sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman secara eksplisit dan implisit. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus yang masing-masing terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 16 siswa kelas IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa setelah penerapan model scramble. Pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 62,94 dengan tingkat ketuntasan 31,25%, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 88,44 dengan ketuntasan mencapai 87,5%. Siswa menunjukkan partisipasi aktif, semangat, serta peningkatan dalam menyusun makna teks. Dengan demikian, model scramble terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman dan layak dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.
