Abstract

This research addresses the implementation of effective learning models for developing 21st-century skills, particularly critical and creative thinking abilities. Furthermore, there remains insufficient understanding of how the Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) model contributes to enhancing higher-order thinking skills across diverse educational contexts. This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing the CBL model on fostering critical thinking, creative thinking, and collaborative skills among students. Using a systematic literature review with a descriptive qualitative design, the research examined 33 scientific articles sourced from the Scopus, Google Scholar, and SINTA databases, published between 2010 and 2024. Data collection was conducted with the assistance of the Publish or Perish application and VOSviewer to visualize and analyze data networks. Thematic analysis techniques were employed to identify trends and patterns in the application of the CBL model. The findings indicate that the CBL model effectively enhances higher-order thinking skills, learner engagement, collaboration, and creativity. However, challenges such as limited resources and insufficient institutional support were also identified. In conclusion, while the CBL model significantly promotes the development of critical and creative thinking skills, addressing institutional and resource constraints is essential for maximizing its impact in educational settings.

Abstract

The increasing demand for efficient data management in higher education has highlighted the need for advanced information systems that support research and community service activities. At Universitas Jambi, the Sistem Informasi Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (SIMLPPM) is the primary platform for managing research data. However, its usability remains limited due to restricted accessibility, unstructured data categorization, and inadequate visualization tools. This study aims to enhance SIMLPPM by developing an interactive dashboard to improve data presentation, user trust, and decision-making efficiency. The research employs the Human-Organization-Technology FIT (HOT-FIT) model to evaluate user satisfaction and system effectiveness by surveying 128 faculty members. The findings indicate that leadership support, organizational structure, and facilities significantly influence user satisfaction and system adoption, while information and service quality have minimal impact. The study underscores the importance of system usability and administrative support over purely technical attributes. Future research should explore AI-driven analytics and expand the evaluation across multiple institutions to enhance data accessibility and user engagement in research management.

Abstract

Londerang Protected Peat Forest (HLG) is one of the peat forests in Jambi Province that experienced fires in 2019. The most felt impact of peat forest fires is smoke haze, which disrupts activities and health. This impact is felt not only by men but also by women. However, mitigation efforts only focus on men. So, it is necessary to explore scientific information about women's involvement in disaster mitigation, especially forest fires on peatlands. This research uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The research results show that women's participation can produce knowledge as a means of education regarding fire mitigation in peatlands, which can be started at the family scale so that women's knowledge and involvement determine the success of preventing fires from recurring.
