Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was aimed to determine the different mortality process of baung fish that the different mortality process consisted of A1 (dead flounder) and A2 (dead pricker in Medulla oblongata). The assessment of the different ways to fish mortality consisted of organoleptic (eyes, gills, and odors) and pH.The assessment were conducted every 4 hours and the last assessment 12 hours were obtained organoleptic and pH A1 and A2 respectively, eyes 4.6, 5.3, gills 4.3, 5.3, odors 3.3, 4.3, and pH 4.6, 5.3. Based on the results, A1 (dead flounder) had lower organoleptic and pH assessments than A2 (dead pricker in Medulla oblongata). Keywords: Baung fish, Medulla oblongata, mortality process, organoleptic.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Theaim of the study was to determinethe different characteristics of essential and non-essential amino acids and value of chemical composition on catfish meat originating from natural rivers and from floating nets. The method used was comparative experimentalfor different habitat treatment with T-test established of 2 treatments, namely (P1 = natural river catfish, P2 = floating net catfish) with 5 replications of chemical composition and 2 replications of amino acid analysis. The experimental unit was 10 units. The parameters used were chemical analysis(moisture, ash, protein, fat, carbohydrate content) andamino acid analysis. The result showed thatthe total length of natural river catfish was 48cm and floating net catfish was 45 cm with an average weight was 1230gr.The yield of natural river catfish meat was 52.8450 g and 50.4065 g. The chemical characteristics of natural river catfish meat showed thatmoisture, ash, protein, fat, and carbohydrate was 67.2323%, 2.8648%, 21.2638%,7.2086% and1.4304%.The chemical characteristics of floating net catfish showed thatmoisture, ash, protein, fat, and carbohydrate was66.7238%,2.4701%, 20.9011%, 7.8405% and2.0642%. Leusin was the highest essential amino acids in catfish meat. Where in natural river catfish was 4.7145% and floating net catfish was 4.128%, while glutamic acid was highest non-essential amino acids in catfish meat, where in natural river catfish was 7.8695% (WW) and in floating net catfish was 6.1975% (WW). The total number of amino acids in natural river catfish was 46.043% (WW) and floating net catfish was 33.4714% (bb).   Key words: Amino acid, Catfish, and Habitat

Abstract

Inventories are important in making sales for the company to meet consumer demand, so asexpected to be able fill up market needs and utilize existing opportunities to earn income. Ownedstock company must supply the optimum value, so as to meet every demand with minimum cost.then the company can use the method of economic order quantity (EOQ) calculation of theoptimum amount of inventory. By using the EOQ method is the cost incurred for the procurementof supplies to be more minimal. The purpose of this study was to determine how theimplementation of the EOQ method and inventory costs that occurred in the company, as well as tofind out how the role of the EOQ method in the company stock cost efficiently. Research on theauthor is in the PT. Setiajaya Mobilindo Bogor. PT. Setiajaya Mobilindo Bogor is a companywhich engaged in sales, service and spareparts. The results obtained by the method of economicorder quantity (EOQ) ordering the company to find out how economical for each inventory itemand find out the frequency of bookings for a period and when ordering goods to be redone, so thedemand for goods can be satisfied in the maximum. Thus the economic order quantity (EOQ)method important to act in efficient of suppy cost in that company.

Abstract

ABSTRACT                Mudskipper(Periophthalmusminutus) is the fish that lives in the mangrove forests. The fish was used as the raw material in this study. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding the best concentration of alcalase enzymes to produce the protein hydrolyzate of mudskipper. The parameters observed were the value of non protein nitrogen (NPN) and protein content  by using the Lowry’s method. The experimental design used was a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment conducted was hydrolyzing the fish to produce the fish hydrolyzates protein at different concentration ofalcalase enzyme (1%, 1.5%, and 2%) for 1 hour at temperature 50 °C and pH 8.5. The results showed that the addition of alcalase enzyme1.5% produced the highest content of protein in fish flour at 86.56% (dw) and water at 8.85% (gw). The product was also showing the highest value of non-protein nitrogen (NPN) at 19.28% and Lowry's protein content at 16.96%. Keywords: Flour, parameter, proximate.

Abstract

ABSTRACT               This study was aimed to determine the characteristics of chitosan from freshwater crayfish carapace (Cherax quadricarinatus), to determine the effect of adding chitosan with different concentrations on the quality of lip balm and to determine the addition of the best chitosan concentration on lip balm. The method used in this research was an experimental method on the effect of adding chitosan from freshwater crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) carapace to making lip balm. Tests used in this study were the yield, moisture, ash content, nitrogen content, and the degree of deacetylation in the determination of chitosan quality and pH test, emulsion stability test and humectant test in the determination of lip balm quality. Based on the results showed that the characteristics of chitosan had a yield valueof 20.38%, 7.35% moisture content, 4.34% ash content, 4.54% nitrogen content and 73.74% deacethylation degree. The addition of chitosan with different concentrations in lip balm had a significant effect on pH value, emulsion stability and humectant of lip balm. The best treatment is  A3(the addition of 3% chitosan concentration) based on the pH value of 5.50; 99.46% emulsion stability; and humectant of 95.14%. Keywords:chitosan, freshwater crayfish, lip balm.

Abstract

The primary aim of this study is to investigate the political transformation of the coffee shops in Kepulauan Riau before local leaders election. It is drived by the empirical facts that many coffee shops have transformed to be supporter of one of the candidates of local head government. By using grounded theory and thematic analysis, this study answers the critical questions of why the coffee shops change and what the factors affecting the transformation. A series of interview were conducted on a dozen of informants, consisted of political parties, campaign and success teams of the candidates, Local General Elections Commission (KPUD), Local Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), the owners and the visitors of the coffee shop. Evidence of this study points out that the transformation of the coffee shops is the consequences of both political system and political structure in Indonesia. The empirical findings of this study are not only worthwile to the study of public sphere in the context of Indonesian local political setting but also to the practicioners in designing the truthful and fair local general election.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the nutrient content of mudskipper fish flour with different cooking. The method used in this research was a comparative experiment method, with the T-test consistedof  two treatments. There were steaming  (P1) and boiling (P2) with three replications, obtained 6 experimental units. The parameters measured in this research were the yield and the analysis of nutrient content (protein content, moisture content, ash content, and fat content). Based on the results of research obtained the best treatment was steaming with a yield rate of 16.56%, the of protein content 77.96%, moisture content of 5.23%, fat content of1.48% and ash content of 13.67%. The cooking treatment had a significant effect on the protein content and the moisture content of the fish flour from mudskipper (Periopthalmusminutus) produced. Keywords: boiling, fish flour, mudskipper, and steaming
