Abstract

terhadap retensi karyawan dengan kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening pada PT Nusantara Power Engineering Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif kausal. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada karyawan PT Nusantara Power Engineering Medan sebagai responden penelitian. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari seluruh karyawan perusahaan, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 50 orang. Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode Partial Least Squares (PLS) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 3. Analisis PLS digunakan untuk menguji hubungan langsung dan tidak langsung antara variabel independen (gaya kepemimpinan, pelatihan, dan pengembangan karir), variabel intervening (kepuasan kerja), serta variabel dependen (retensi karyawan). Validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen diuji melalui pengukuran outer model, sedangkan pengaruh antar variabel dianalisis melalui pengukuran inner model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan. Gaya kepemimpinan mempengaruhi retensi karyawan, pengaruh tersebut tidak signifikan. Kepuasan kerja memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap retensi karyawan. Pelatihan terbukti memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Pelatihan memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap retensi karyawan. Pengembangan karir menunjukkan pengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja, pengaruh tersebut tidak signifikan. Pengembangan karir berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap retensi karyawan.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengembangan Potensi Sumber Daya Manusia Muda di Desa Pematang Serai: Menciptakan Generasi Unggul adalah sebuah program pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan potensi dan kualitas sumber daya manusia muda di Desa Pematang Serai, Kabupaten Langkat. Program ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan generasi unggul yang memiliki keterampilan, pengetahuan, dan motivasi yang tinggi dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui serangkaian pelatihan, seminar, dan lokakarya yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif dari pemuda di Desa Pematang Serai. Pelatihan-pelatihan tersebut mencakup berbagai bidang seperti keterampilan teknis, kewirausahaan, kepemimpinan, serta pemahaman tentang pentingnya lingkungan dan konservasi alam. Program ini juga melibatkan partisipasi dari orangtua dan tokoh masyarakat sebagai dukungan bagi para pemuda dalam mengembangkan diri mereka. Adanya dialog terbuka dan diskusi dalam program ini juga memberikan kesempatan bagi para pemuda untuk menyampaikan aspirasi dan ide-ide mereka. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa program ini telah berhasil menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif bagi pengembangan potensi sumber daya manusia muda di Desa Pematang Serai. Para pemuda merasa didukung dan dihargai dalam proses pengembangan diri mereka, sehingga mereka meraih prestasi yang lebih tinggi dan berkontribusi positif bagi desa dan masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

Tujuan riset ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana Instagram marketing berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan penjualan UMKM kuliner di Kota Medan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana berdasarkan data dari 97 responden. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Instagram marketing memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penjualan. Nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,52 mengindikasikan bahwa 52% variasi peningkatan penjualan dapat dijelaskan oleh penggunaan Instagram marketing. Beberapa strategi yang terbukti efektif antara lain adalah frekuensi unggahan konten berkualitas, pemanfaatan fitur interaktif seperti Stories dan Reels, penggunaan hashtag yang relevan, serta interaksi langsung dengan pelanggan. Meskipun demikian, pelaku UMKM masih menghadapi hambatan seperti keterbatasan waktu, pemahaman terhadap fitur, dan kemampuan menganalisis konten. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan literasi digital dan pelatihan berkelanjutan dari pemerintah dan lembaga terkait sangat diperlukan. Secara teoritis, hasil penelitian ini mendukung literatur tentang pemasaran digital dan menunjukkan bahwa Instagram marketing merupakan strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM di era digital.

The research method is causal associative research with the help of the SPSS Version 26 program. This study uses multiple linear regression. The population in this study was 62 respondents. The sample in this study was 62 respondents. Primary data collection used a questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that leadership style partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Binjai City Transportation Agency. Organizational communication partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Binjai City Transportation Agency. Work discipline partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Binjai City Transportation Agency. Leadership style, organizational communication and work discipline simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Binjai City Transportation Agency.

Abstract

The high unemployment rate among Generation Z Awareness shows the need for adaptive regional policies and leadership in shaping the work motivation of the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the influence of the role of policy, regional head leadership, and motivation on the character and work readiness of Generation Z. The method used is quantitative with a survey design of 44 Gen Z respondents, who were selected purposively. The research instrument in the form of a questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability, with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.895. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression and Pearson correlation through SPSS version 22. The results of the study show that the three variables the role of policy, regional head leadership, and motivation have a positive and significant effect on Generation Z Awareness. The role of inclusive and participatory policies forms a conducive work ecosystem, while the transformational leadership style of regional heads is proven to be a dominant factor in encouraging the enthusiasm and loyalty of Gen Z. On the other hand, intrinsic motivation supported by a work environment that is responsive to basic psychological needs also enhances the productive and adaptive work character of Gen Z. These findings underscore the importance of synergy between policy, leadership, and motivation in developing the younger generation.

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation ushered in by Industry 5.0 has redefined human-technology interactions, emphasizing collaboration between artificial intelligence and human capabilities, particularly among Generation Z, who are digital natives with advanced technological proficiency and expectations for personalized services. This study aims to examine the influence of digital-based management and Industry 5.0 technology on the characteristics and productivity of Generation Z in Medan, a key economic hub in North Sumatra. A quantitative approach was employed, involving questionnaires distributed to 44 respondents aged 18–24 years, with data analyzed through Pearson correlation, reliability testing, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that Industry 5.0 technology exerts a dominant influence on Generation Z, with a strong correlation of 0.775 and a high significance level, while management also has a significant positive effect, with a correlation of 0.622. Approximately 63.5% of the variation in Generation Z’s characteristics is explained by these variables. The study concludes that integrating adaptive management with Industry 5.0 technologies is essential to optimize Generation Z’s potential, enabling organizations to foster innovation and productivity in a digital era.

Abstract

Education and motivation are pivotal in shaping the development of individuals and communities, particularly for Generation Z, who face unique socio-economic challenges in rural settings. This study aims to analyze the influence of education and motivation on the skills, mindset, and future prospects of Generation Z in Kuala Air Hitam Village, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 44 respondents aged 13 to 28 years. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multicollinearity tests, multiple linear regression, F tests, and T-tests. The findings confirm that education and motivation together significantly affect potential of Generation Z, explaining 60.8% of the variation in their outcomes, with motivation having a stronger influence (t = 4.313, significance = 0.000) than education (t = 3.496, significance = 0.001). Both variables independently contribute to enhancing skills and prospects. The study concludes that integrating educational improvements with motivational programs is essential to unlock the potential of Generation Z, enabling them to overcome rural challenges and contribute to sustainable community development. Collaborative efforts among stakeholders are recommended to support these initiatives.

Abstract

One important initial step in developing youth-oriented village development strategies is understanding Generation Z characteristics, including how they communicate, their interests, and aspirations. The purpose of this research is to find the most effective methods and communication approaches to support Generation Z in Karang Rejo Village. This research focuses on Karang Rejo Village in Stabat sub-district, which has 11,621 residents, consisting of 5,827 men and 5,794 women, making it the village with the second largest population in the Stabat. The selection of Karang Rejo as a research location was based on the fact that the village has a very representative demographic, with a balanced population composition between men and women. Using a combination of qualitative methods through in-depth interviews and direct observation, as well as quantitative approaches through surveys, this research aims to identify effective empowerment models. The results obtained are expected to serve as a strategic reference in designing development initiatives that are inclusive, innovative, and sustainable, so that the active involvement of all levels of society is encouraged.

Abstract

Studi ini ingin mengenal akibat dari pelatihan, kompetensi, dan dampak kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja para pegawai di Kantor BRIDA Kota Medan. Kinerja pegawai yang rendah disebabkan oleh minimnya pelatihan, kurangnya kompetensi, serta rendahnya kepuasan kerja. Cara yang dipakai adalah pendekatan asosiatif dengan sampel jenuh sebanyak 42 pegawai. Data diambil dari kuesioner dan dihitung dengan cara statistik. Penelitian ini menemukan pelatihan, kompetensi, dan kepuasan kerja punya pengaruh kuat pada kinerja pegawai, baik masing-masing maupun bersama. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan ketiga faktor tersebut dapat secara langsung memotivasi peningkatan kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of generation z in preserving Pancasila values ​​in Selayang Village and the factors that influence it. The method used is a quantitative survey involving 125 generation z respondents aged 15-22 years, combined with in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) to obtain enriched qualitative data. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and compound correlations while qualitative data and thematic analysis. the results of the study indicate that generation z has a high understanding of Pancasila values, but the application of these values ​​in everyday life still needs to be improved. Understanding Pancasila values ​​in involvement in social activities is significantly positively related to the preservation of values ​​while the influence of social media shows a significant negative correlation. Generation z is active in various social and religious activities as a form of preserving values, but participation in creating educational content on social media is still low. This study recommends strengthening applicable Pancasila values ​​education, education on the wise use of social media, and increasing gen z involvement in social religious activities to support the preservation of Pancasila values ​​optimally.
