Abstract

Strengthening literacy is an activity carried out to strengthen a person's skills in understanding, recognizing, interpreting, evaluating, reflecting various types of texts and visual, auditory and digital symbols to solve problems and increase individual capacity so they can contribute to society. The aim of this literacy strengthening assistance is that all participants are able to understand literacy concepts, are able to identify literacy misconceptions, are able to design initial learning assessments to map students' literacy skills, and are able to design school strategies to strengthen students' literacy skills. The method used is participatory throughout the learning committee including the principal, school supervisor, and 2 teacher representatives from each school, consisting of 4 elementary school levels, namely SDN 118 Ujung, SDN 100 Dare Bunga-Bungae, SDN 5 Mattiropole, and SDN 238 Laempa which in Soppeng Regency which was held on Tuesday 30 January 2024 with active participation of participants. The final result of this literacy strengthening workshop activity is a product of an initial learning assessment design to map students' literacy skills and a school strategy design to strengthen students' literacy skills. Thus, mentoring this literacy strengthening workshop can have a positive impact on schools, especially at the elementary school level in the Mobilizing School Program which can support teachers and schools in implementing literacy strengthening in schools.

Abstract

Technical guidance on the project to strengthen the profile of pancasila students is an activity carried out to provide participants with an understanding of how to implement the project to strengthen the profile of pancasila students in their respective educational units, which is a co-curricular activity in the independent curriculum. The aim of this activity is that all participants are able to understand the project to strengthen the profile of pancasila students, prepare the school ecosystem, design a project to strengthen the profile of pancasila students, document and report the results of the project to strengthen the profile of pancasila students, and be able to evaluate and follow up on the project to strengthen the profile of pancasila students. The method used is participatory for all participants, namely school principals and elementary school teachers, totaling 96 people from 24 schools and carried out on Wednesday-Thursday 18-19 December 2024 starting at 09.00 WITA-16.00 WITA at the District PKG Building Tinggimoncong, Jl. S. Dg. Jarung No. 320 Malino, Gowa Regency. The final result of this activity is participants' understanding regarding the implementation of the project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile, including in designing project modules and preparing project report cards. In this way, it can have a positive impact on schools, especially at the elementary school level, so that when implementing the project to strengthen the profile of pancasila students in each educational unit, the implementation is in accordance with the guidelines from the central ministry.

Abstract

To improve students' writing skills, they must master the type of essay based on their own personal experiences. While they are learning to write, the goal of advanced writing instruction in elementary school is for students to develop the ability to convey their thoughts and feelings, as well as to express their knowledge, ideas, and opinions. This literature review will employ qualitative research methods and will be based on a study or review of existing literature. Consequently, the aim of this research is to gather information about the methods elementary schools use to teach effective writing skills. One challenge with teaching writing is that the open-ended materials used by teachers are often not engaging. Additionally, publicly available creative writing resources are often insufficient for teachers. Many educators argue that writing is merely an assignment to be completed and graded. Developing writing skills in elementary school is a crucial step toward improving students' literacy. However, many teachers focus solely on students' written results without actively helping them develop their writing process. Advanced writing instruction fosters students' creativity and critical thinking by teaching various writing styles, such as narration, description, and exposition, which helps them articulate their ideas more systematically. Teachers play a vital role in supporting students to improve the quality of their writing through guidance and constructive feedback. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa, mereka harus menguasai jenis karangan yang didasarkan pada pengalaman pribadi mereka sendiri. Pembelajaran menulis lanjutan di sekolah dasar bertujuan untuk menulis lanjutan di sekolah dasar adalah untuk memperoleh informasi dan pemahaman mengenai metode serta strategi yang digunakan oleh guru sekolah dasar dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis lanjutan siswabelajaran menulis lanjutan di sekolah dasar adalah agar siswa memiliki kemampuan tertulis menyampaikan pikiran dan perasaan mereka serta mengungkapkan pengetahuan, ide, dan pendapat mereka. Penelitianini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif didasarkan pada studi literatur atau kajian pustaka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang metode yang digunakan sekolah dasar untuk mengajar keterampilan menulis yang baik. Salah satu masalah dengan keterampilan menulis adalah bahan terbuka yang digunakan guru tidak menarik. Selain itu, sumber daya penulisan kreatif yang tersedia untuk umum tidak cukup untuk guru. Banyak guru berpendapat bahwa menulis hanyalah tugas yang harus dikumpulkan dan dinilai sendiri. Menulis lanjutan di sekolah dasar adalah langkah penting dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi siswa. Banyak guru yang hanya fokus pada hasil tulisan siswa tanpa membantu mereka menulis secara aktif. Pembelajaran menulis lanjutan meningkatkan kreativitas dan daya berpikir kritis siswa dengan mengajarkan berbagai jenis tulisan, seperti narasi, deskripsi, dan eksposisi, yang membantu mereka menyampaikan ide-ide mereka dengan lebih sistematis. Guru bertanggung jawab untuk membantu siswa memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kualitas tulisan mereka dengan memberikan bimbingan dan umpan balik.

Abstract

This study aims to examine advanced speaking learning strategies in elementary schools to enhance students' communication skills. The research approach is qualitative, utilizing desk research and referencing relevant, current literature. The analysis shows that interactive methods such as group discussions, role plays, and oral presentations effectively improve students' speaking abilities. Technology-based innovations, including educational applications and creative projects, also positively influence students' confidence and fluency. Moreover, project-based assessment is identified as a relevant approach, allowing teachers to comprehensively evaluate students' fluency, pronunciation, and idea communication. The study also highlights barriers to language learning, such as students' lack of confidence, inconsistent teaching practices, and limited learning environments. Therefore, this article offers recommendations for innovative learning strategies to improve students' speaking skills and emphasizes the importance of authentic assessment in supporting successful advanced speaking development. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pembelajaran berbicara lanjutan di sekolah dasar guna meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi siswa. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode penelitian kepustakaan mengacu pada literatur relevan dan terkini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode interaktif, seperti diskusi kelompok, bermain peran, dan presentasi lisan, efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Inovasi berbasis teknologi, seperti penggunaan aplikasi pendidikan dan proyek kreatif, turut memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kepercayaan diri dan kelancaran berbicara siswa. Selain itu, evaluasi berbasis proyek diidentifikasi sebagai pendekatan penilaian yang relevan, memudahkan guru untuk menilai aspek kelancaran, pengucapan, dan penyampaian gagasan siswa secara komprehensif. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi kendala dalam pembelajaran berbicara, seperti rasa kurang percaya diri siswa, metode pengajaran yang tidak variatif, serta keterbatasan lingkungan belajar. Dengan demikian, artikel ini memberikan rekomendasi strategi pembelajaran berbasis inovasi yang mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa, serta pentingnya evaluasi autentik dalam mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran berbicara lanjutan.

Abstract

Character education is a key focus in Indonesia's education system, aimed at shaping a generation with integrity, responsibility, and personality in line with Pancasila values. The Pancasila Learner Profile Strengthening Project integrates these values into learning, fostering students who are faithful, pious, cooperative, creative, independent, and critical thinkers. However, challenges such as the influence of technology, environmental factors, and inconsistent application of Pancasila values hinder character development. This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Pancasila Learner Profile Strengthening Project in shaping student character, addressing the need for relevant learning innovations within the Merdeka Curriculum. The research uses an ex-post facto design with a quantitative approach, involving 27 fifth-grade students SDN 12 Kodeoha. Data collection methods include observation sheets, questionnaires, and documentation, analyzed through descriptive and inferential techniques. The findings show that the Pancasila Student Profile Project is still a new initiative at SDN 12 Kodeoha. Four key character dimensions were identified in the students: faith, piety, noble character, independence, creativity, and mutual cooperation. The students often demonstrate a sense of togetherness and social responsibility, helping each other in group assignments or projects. Hypothesis testing showed a significant effect of the project on student character, with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, confirming the program’s positive influence on character development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of outdoor learning methods and their impact on students' learning motivation in science learning. This method is applied through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistical tests, including normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests. The implementation of outdoor learning methods is considered very effective in science learning because it allows fourth grade students of SD Negeri 21 Kampung Beru, Jeneponto Regency to understand scientific concepts directly. Students' learning motivation in science learning in fourth grade of SD Negeri 21 Kampung Beru, Jeneponto Regency has increased after the implementation of outdoor learning methods. This is evidenced by the increase in students' learning motivation with the implementation of outdoor learning methods, which can be seen from the enthusiasm of students in participating in learning and their activeness in discussing learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the Ho hypothesis is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of the use of outdoor learning methods on students' learning motivation in science learning in fourth grade of SD Negeri 21 Kampung Beru, Jeneponto Regency. This is proven by the results of the hypothesis test with a t count of 23,000 > t table 2,086

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low reading skills of students, where students sometimes forget to remember letters, students sometimes forget to connect words, and there are still students who stammer in spelling a reading. This research aims to find out: 1) an overview of the application of the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method using word card learning media to the beginning reading skills of grade 1 students of SDN 99 Kadieng Maros Regency; 2) the effect of the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method using word card learning media on the beginning reading skills of grade 1 students of SDN 99 Kadieng Maros Regency. This research is an experimental research with the type of research is pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest-posttest design. The data collection techniques used were observation, reading tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that: 1) the description of the application of the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method using word card learning media took place very well, because the percentage category for each meeting had changes seen from teacher and student observations; 2) the results of descriptive and inferential analyses obtained from the results of reading tests in the from of pretests and posttests that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the application of the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method using word card learning media has an influence on the beginning reading skills of grade 1 students. This can be seen from the results of hypothesis testing with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Dalam artikel ini, sintaks dibahas sebagai bidang sains linguistik, yang berfokus pada struktur dan pengaturan kata -kata dalam kalimat Indonesia. Studi ini mencakup diskusi tentang unit sintaksis seperti kata -kata, frasa, klausa, kalimat, dan kalimat, serta fungsi sintaksis seperti subjek, predikat, objek, pelengkap, dan informasi. Selain itu, makalah ini membahas berbagai jenis kalimat berdasarkan struktur dan pola. Ini termasuk struktur frasa dan klausa sebagai elemen mendasar dari pengaturan pembentukan. Tujuan dari surat ini adalah untuk menyampaikan komponen sintaksis dari pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang komponen sintaksis bahasa Indonesia dan kedalaman penggunaannya dalam pembentukan kalimat yang efektif dan bermakna. Pemahaman yang benar tentang struktur sintaksis diharapkan memungkinkan pembaca, khususnya siswa dan pendidik potensial, untuk menggunakan orang Indonesia dalam konteks komunikasi lisan dan tertulis.

Abstract

Apresiasi sastra reseptif dalam konteks sastra anak, dengan fokus pada penerapan tiga pendekatan utama: emotif, didaktis, dan analitis. Apresiasi sastra reseptif mengacu pada proses pemaknaan karya sastra oleh pembaca, khususnya anak-anak, yang dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan emosi, moral, dan intelektual mereka. Pendekatan emotif berorientasi pada penguatan respons emosional anak terhadap cerita, pendekatan didaktis menekankan pada nilai-nilai pendidikan dan karakter, sementara pendekatan analitis mendorong anak untuk memahami unsur-unsur intrinsik karya secara lebih mendalam. Ketiga pendekatan ini saling melengkapi dalam membangun pemahaman yang utuh terhadap karya sastra anak. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan panduan kepada pendidik dan orang tua dalam mengembangkan literasi sastra anak secara lebih efektif, serta membentuk generasi pembaca yang kritis, empatik, dan berkarakter.

Abstract

Makalah ini membahas strategi apresiasi sastra anak melalui penerapan pendekatan parafratis dan analitis dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan pengkajian sastra secara produktif. Pendekatan parafratis digunakan untuk membantu pembaca, khususnya anak-anak, memahami isi karya sastra secara utuh melalui penyederhanaan dan penafsiran ulang teks. Sementara itu, pendekatan analitis diarahkan untuk menggali unsur-unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik dalam karya sastra anak guna menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan reflektif. Melalui kombinasi kedua pendekatan ini, diharapkan tercipta pemahaman yang lebih mendalam dan apresiatif terhadap karya sastra, serta mendorong pembentukan sikap kreatif dan empatik pada anak. Kajian ini menekankan pentingnya pemilihan metode yang sesuai dengan karakteristik pembaca usia dini serta peran guru atau pendamping dalam menfasilitasi proses apresiasi sastra secara bermakna.
