Abstract

Speaking skills in elementary school play a crucial role in developing students’ communication skills and supporting their learning success in various fields. The purpose of this study was to analyze effective strategies and methods for developing elementary school students’ speaking skills. The method used was a literature review, reviewing various journals, books, and relevant research findings related to speaking instruction. The results showed that storytelling, show and tell, role-playing, and group discussions can improve students’ courage, fluency, and critical thinking skills. An interactive learning environment and teacher support as facilitators are also important factors in the successful development of speaking skills in elementary school

Abstract

This study aims to analyze various curriculum development models used in education, particularly the Tyler, Taba, Oliva, and Grass Roots models. Curriculum is a crucial component in the learning process that serves as a guideline for achieving educational objectives. The method used in this study is a literature review by examining various scientific sources such as journals, books, and related articles. The results show that each curriculum development model has its own characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses. The Tyler model emphasizes systematic learning objectives, the Taba model focuses on an inductive approach based on students’ needs, the Oliva model is comprehensive and flexible, while the Grass Roots model highlights the active role of teachers in curriculum development. Therefore, the selection of a curriculum model should be adjusted to students’ needs, school conditions, and current developments to ensure effective and relevant learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of integrating the autonomous learner model with the cooperative learning model of the jigsaw type in improving Indonesian language learning outcomes among fourth-grade students at SDI Bonerate No. 85 Kepulauan Selayar. The focus of this research is to determine the extent to which the combined implementation of both models enhances students’ learning outcomes. This study employed a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest approach, involving 38 students as participants. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. The results indicate an improvement in the average scores for the autonomous learner model from 38.09 to 52.38, with an N-gain of 0.23 (low category), while the jigsaw model increased from 52.35 to 67.64, with an N-gain of 0.32 (moderate category). The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of < 0.05. Observational findings also revealed increased student independence and collaboration, rising from 41% to 83% and from 69% to 87%, respectively. Thus, the combined models are effective, although the absence of a control group limits the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah pengaruh model pembelajaran think pair share dan model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V SDN 169 Sadar Kabupaten Bone. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest posttest dengan sampel 15 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan lembar tes, serta pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran, tercermin dari meningkatnya aktivitas, kerja sama antar kelompok. Nilai posttest juga mengalami peningkatan signifikan dibandingkan pretest, diperkuat oleh hasil uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Secara umum, model pembelajaran think pair share dan model pembelajaran problem based learning efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terutama pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. This study aims to determine the effect of the think pair share and problem based learning models on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 169 Sadar. The research design used is a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was 15 people. Data collection techniques were tests, observation and documentation. The results of descriptive analysis obtained that the Indonesian language learning outcomes of students before the use of the think pair share and problem based learning models were in the sufficient category with a frequency of 1 student (6.66%) with an average value of 60-69. While the Indonesian language learning outcomes after the use of the think pair share and problem based learning models were in the very good category with a frequency of 14 students (93.33%) with an average value of 90-100. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the use of the think pair share and problem based learning models on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 169 Sadar as evidenced by a significance value of 0.003 with a significance level of 0.05.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai dasar pengembangan kemampuan literasi yang memiliki kedudukan bagi keberhasilan siswa di jenjang pendidikan berikutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep, prinsip, dan penerapan evaluasi serta penilaian pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur dari berbagai sumber dalam periode 2020-2025 seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah yang terindeks Google Schoolar dan Garuda yang relevan dengan topik evaluasi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar memiliki peran penting dalam mengukur pencapaian kompetensi sekaligus membina karakter dan literasi siswa. Evaluasi yang efektif harus dilakukan secara objektif, autentik, berkelanjutan, serta mencakup seluruh keterampilan berbahasa menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis agar mampu mencerminkan kemampuan siswa secara utuh. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa kualitas evaluasi masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, antara lain keterbatasan waktu, beban administratif guru, rendahnya pemahaman mengenai penilaian formatif, ketimpangan sarana evaluasi digital, serta rendahnya budaya literasi siswa.
