Abstract

This study aims to analyze the model of integration of Islamic boarding school curriculum based on Islamic values and technology at Pesantren Sintesa Magetan, which combines religious learning and digital skills in one integrated education system. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, involving caregivers, teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the Pesantren Sintesa curriculum integrates tahfidz teaching, book studies, and digital skills such as digital marketing, web management, and multimedia simultaneously, with project-based learning facilitated by mentors. This model is effective in improving the technical, soft, and conceptual skills of students, as well as forming graduates who are ready to compete professionally without losing their Islamic identity. The challenges faced include differences in basic digital skills of students, limited infrastructure, and the need for competent teachers, which are overcome through intensive mentoring and the use of online teachers. This study recommends strengthening technology-based teacher training, developing a flexible curriculum that is adaptive to digital developments, and replicating this integration model in other Islamic boarding schools to produce a generation of Muslims who are globally competitive. These findings are expected to be the basis for the development of technology-based Islamic education in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to answer two research questions: identifying the leadership typology of the principal of Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School, Ponorogo, and analyzing their contribution to improving the quality of education at the madrasah. The focus of this research is based on the principal's strategic role as a director, manager, and innovator, who determines educational programs and the achievement of service quality. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis that illustrated actual leadership practices. Process analysis was conducted inductively and deductively to identify leadership patterns and summarize their links to improving educational quality. The research results indicate that school principals apply democratic, humanistic, and collective leadership typologies. This typology is evident in decision-making patterns involving teachers and the school committee, attention to the welfare and professional needs of educators, and cross-stakeholder collaboration in implementing school programs. Principals also combine their roles as educators, managers, supervisors, and innovators to strengthen the digitalization of learning, improve teacher competency, and develop student achievement programs. This approach creates a conducive, collaborative, and quality-oriented learning environment. Based on these findings, the research recommends strengthening accountability systems to ensure a more structured collective process, as well as regular evaluation of innovative and digital programs to ensure their relevance to student needs and educational development.

Abstract

Bullying remains a pervasive concern in Indonesian elementary schools, with approximately 30% of reported cases occurring at the primary education level. This community service study examines the implementation and effectiveness of an anti-bullying seminar conducted by university students from Universitas Darunnajah for elementary school children in Cidokom Village, Bogor Regency. The program employed a participatory action approach that integrated interactive seminars, role-playing activities, and psychoeducational workshops, targeting 85 students in grades 4 through 6. Pre-test and post-test assessments were administered to measure changes in students’ knowledge of how to identify bullying, empathy levels, and intentions to intervene as bystanders. Descriptive statistical analysis, supplemented by qualitative observational data, revealed significant improvements across all measured indicators. Students’ knowledge of bullying types and recognition increased from a mean score of 52.4 to 78.6, while empathy scores improved from 48.7 to 74.2. Bystander intervention intentions rose from 45.3 to 76.8. Qualitative findings indicated heightened student engagement and increased willingness to report bullying incidents. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on university-community partnerships in bullying prevention. It demonstrates the viability of student-led community service programs as vehicles for promoting safe school environments in rural Indonesian communities.
