Abstract

Philosophical values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning are one way to shape students' character and spiritual awareness. This article discusses how philosophical values such as sincerity, responsibility, justice, and patience can be instilled through a dialogic and reflective Islamic Education learning process. This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy in building students' value awareness and how the boarding school environment supports the process. This research used qualitative methods with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation at Darul Fikri Islamic Boarding School. The novelty of this study lies in integrating reflective learning and character building through the tahfidz program as a contextual and practical means of internalizing philosophical values in the pesantren environment, which has not been widely studied in previous research. The results showed that PAI learning integrated with philosophical values through discussion methods, reflective assignments, and habituation in the Qur'an tahfidz program, greatly helped students form better attitudes and behaviors. Santri can reflect on religious teachings more deeply and apply them in everyday life. With the right approach, philosophical values can be instilled effectively and have a real impact on the character-building process of students.

Abstract

As a result of advancements in telecommunications, transportation, and technology, Indonesian education faces four challenges related to globalisation in the areas of culture, morals, and ethics. The alternative is to create an integrated school that merges traditional and Islamic boarding schools, focusing on academic, religious, and character characteristics with solid cultural reinforcement. This research analyses the concepts, strategies, and implications of integrating Islamic boarding school and public school curricula in forming modern Islamic characters at the Zumrotus Salamah Tawangsari Islamic Boarding School, Tulungagung. This study uses a qualitative approach, a case study type; data collection techniques using in-depth interviews with the Chair of the Foundation, the Headmaster, a sample of 5 teachers, and a sample of 3 students (santri), participant observation during the learning process and documentation of the curriculum structure of the Zumrotus Salamah Islamic Boarding School, participant observation and documentation; data analysis techniques: data presentation, data reduction, and concluding; data checking was carried out through diligent observation and triangulation tests. Research Results: (1) The concept of integrating the curriculum of Islamic boarding schools and public schools in the formation of modern Islamic character by correlating the core (government) curriculum with the pesantren curriculum whose primary reference is from the book of aqidatul awwam and the involvement of education experts and senior humanists; (2) Integration strategy by instilling tafaqquh fid dien (taqwa that does not lose cultural identity), periodic evaluations according to stakeholder needs, integrating a curriculum that has a modern Islamic character, especially in extracurricular activities; (3) The implication of integration is that there is a diametrical relationship between morals and culture, which affects the style of speech and manners of students, school formal wear uses traditional Javanese clothing, extracurricular activities with old Javanese games such as enggrang, dakonan, coblak-coblak suweng, etc. which instill the values of tolerance, togetherness, growing mutual trust (honesty), justice and patience according to QS. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Tilawati method in learning to read the Qur'an and memorizing the Qur'an in Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a qualitative and case study approach to explore the application of the Tilawati method in learning the Qur'an and its impact on the quality of student memorization in Islamic boarding schools. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with ustadz, students, and pesantren administrators, as well as participant observation and documentation. Data analysis includes data collection stages, condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The validity of the data is ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation. The learning strategies applied include talaqqi and musyafahah, gradual learning according to volume, the use of Tilawati tones (rost), routine evaluation, and the integration of learning in students' daily lives. The study results show that these strategies effectively build a strong and systematic foundation of Qur'an reading before students enter the Qur'an memorization program. Students who have completed the Tilawati program can read the Qur'an well, tartil, and a few Tajweed errors, so memorizing the Qur'an becomes faster and more qualified. This success is also supported by a periodic evaluation system, muroja'ah activities, and integrating learning into daily activities such as congregational prayers and joint recitations.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools have a wealth of knowledge that can be researched and analyzed from various scientific aspects, so research on Islamic boarding schools will be available. This study will focus on the management pattern of pesantren leadership education by choosing the largest pesantren in the country, namely the Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School. A qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were obtained from key informants, Islamic boarding school documents and books, journals and articles as support related to the management of leadership education in the era of globalization. Data analysis in this study used content analysis techniques. The results of the study found that the management of leadership education in the form of regeneration in the style of the Gontor Islamic Boarding School was classified into six: briefing, training, assignment, habituation, control and role modelling. The revival of leadership values at the Gontor Islamic Boarding School includes education of ibrah, habituation, mauidzah, discipline, independence and exemplary. The pattern of leadership in Darussalam Gontor Islamic Boarding School is collegial (Trimurti). The administration of the Trimurti pesantren Darussalam Gontor became the central figure of the pesantren in the leadership of three kiai. With this collective leadership model, the Gontor Islamic Boarding School will eventually become a modern institution whose survival does not depend on a single kiai as the supreme leader. Thus, Islamic boarding schools are expected to be able to foster and produce Islamic human resources.

Abstract

Indonesia is a pluralistic country because of its diversity of tribes, cultures, languages and customs, so it has various forms of Educational Institutions. Islamic boarding schools are the 'Father' of education in Indonesia and an indigenous institution born from Nusantara's local wisdom in a somewhat existential period. The characteristic of pesantren lies in its leadership in the hands of a Kiai. One of the pesantren that still exists today is Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor (PMDG). So, this study aims to provide a discourse about the leadership of 'Trimurti' as the central figure in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. The study is included in the library research. To facilitate data analysis, researchers used descriptive and content analysis techniques. Based on the results of the data analysis, the uniqueness of kiai's leadership lies in the charismatic character that creates a 'patron-client' pattern in the internal and external spheres. Trimurti of PMDG as a boarding school leader whose task is to educate the santri, applied two main methods: central figure (uswahhasanah) and formatting milieu or conducive environment. The whole life of the pesantren, both on a micro and macro scale, has been designed to transfer knowledge and value naturally in every daily activity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon of the lack of application of learning methods carried out. However, the demonstration method which is one of the best methods has received less attention and lack of development. This is marked by the number of people who in learning make noise, indifferent and busy themselves by not responding to what is taught by educators. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Qur'an Tilawatil learning demonstration method and to describe efforts to increase motivation to learn Tilawatil Qur'an, using a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The results of this study the mentoring team stated that efforts to increase motivation to learn tartilul qur'an with this demonstration method were based on the orientation to make learning effective, efficient and relevant to the community. Efforts to increase this motivation are generally carried out in two ways, first, through direct demonstrations both in the form of recordings and from direct educators, including through "praying prayer before and after lessons, giving stimulus and advice, giving reprimands". Second, through direct application or direct training to the community. Among them are through "reading recitations in congregation, commemorating Islamic holidays, life skills".
