Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis determinasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi turnover intention karyawan hotel berbintang 4 di Kota Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Exploratory Research untuk menemukan beberapa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi turnover intention karyawan hotel berbintang 4 di Kota Padang. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 796 orang yang terdiri dari seluruh karyawan hotel berbintang 4 di Kota Padang. Jumlah sampel 251 orang dengan menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur (Path Analysis) untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel Exogenous (penyebab), terhadap variabel Endogenous (akibat), melalui variabel perantara (intervening variable).Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kompensasi finansial terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan hotel berbintang 4 di Kota Padang. (2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan hotel berbintang 4 di Kota Padang. (3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kompensasi terhadap turnover intention karyawan hotel berbintang 4 di Kota Padang secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening. (4) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara lingkungan kerja terhadap turnover intention karyawan hotel berbintang 4 di Kota Padang secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening. (5) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kepuasan kerja terhadap turnover intention karyawan hotel berbintang 4 di Kota Padang. Variabel kepuasan kerja ini merupakan variabel yang memiliki pengaruh terbesar terhadap turnover intention karyawan hotel berbintang 4 di Kota Padang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of job satisfaction on a commitment to working in the hotel industry during the Covid 19 pandemic. This type of research was conducted using a quantitative approach with ex post facto research, which is a study that aims to analyze the effect of the exogenous variable (cause), namely job satisfaction with the Endogenous variable (result), namely the commitment to work in the hotel industry during the Covid 19 pandemic. The total population in this study was 8,100,000 people consisting of all hotel employees who were sent home during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia by determining the sample based on the type of purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) Employee job satisfaction at hotels during the Covid 19 pandemic was still in the abundant category. (2) the work commitment of employees at the hotel during the Covid 19 pandemic is still in a good category. (3) There is a significant influence on the job satisfaction variable on the commitment to working in the hotel industry during the Covid 19 pandemic.The magnitude of the impact of the job satisfaction variable on employee work commitment in the hotel industry during the Covid 19 pandemic is 17.4%, while 82.6% determined by other factors.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of sharia compliance and customer satisfaction towards Muslim purchase behavior in sharia hotels in West Sumatra. This research uses a quantitative methodology with a causal associative approach. Muslim guests who have stayed at sharia hotels constitute the population, and a purposive sampling technique is used to determine the number of research samples. The sample size for this study was 99 Muslim guests who had stayed at a sharia hotel in West Sumatra. Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is the analytical method used. From the results of research that has been carried out, the variables of sharia compliance and customers satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on the purchase behavior of sharia hotels in West Sumatra. It can be said that based on this research, purchase behavior occurs if the hotel is compliant and guests feel satisfied during their stay, then guests will consider purchase behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of hotel image and trust on guest loyalty at Grand Basko Hotel Padang. This research method uses quantitative descriptive research with a causal associative approach, data collected through surveys of guests who have stayed at Grand Basko Hotel Padang using 98 respondents from a population of 7,560 guests staying at Grand Basko Hotel Padang because the sample determination based on the type of non-probability sampling used is purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of data analysis using Smart PLS with the results of Cronbach's each variable 4.245, 9.506 and 4.446 shows that hotel image has a positive and significant effect on guest loyalty, as well as hotel image has a positive and significant effect on trust and trust also has a positive and significant effect on guest loyalty, on the mediating variable hotel image has a direct effect on customer loyalty and indirectly affects customer loyalty through trust as the mediating variable.

Abstract

This research is based on phenomena related to destination image, tourist satisfaction, and revisit intention at Padang Beach Tourism Attraction. This research applies a quantitative approach with a causal-associative method. The sample consisted of 100 tourists selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through the use of questionnaires that have been validated and tested for reliability. The data were processed through multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 26.00. The results showed that destination image and tourist satisfaction play a positive and significant role in the intention to return to visit Padang Beach Tourism Attraction. The results state that destination image and tourist satisfaction together contribute significantly (around 20%) to the intention to return to visit Padang Beach.

Abstract

Purpose: This paper investigates the influence of job engagement and work-life balance on increasing employee retention in the Hotel Industry. Method: The study used quantitative research with a causal associative approach. The population in this study was 63 employees of Natra Bintan Resort. 40 respondents were successfully collected using simple random sampling techniques. Data was obtained through a structured questionnaire and supplemented with a desk review of the literature.  The proposed model is analyzed through the Smart PLSS assessment. Result: The result of this study found that there is a significant influence on the significant work engagement path. Meanwhile, there is an insignificant influence of the work-life balance path on employee retention. Job engagement and work-life balance are predictors of employee retention in the hospitality industry. Contribution: The contribution of this study is manifestly found as a significantly increasing employee retention which will give a big impact on the Hotel Industry. The company is expected to pay attention to the relationship between employees and superiors about work-life balance and job engagement and employees get complete information about the requirements for occupying a position. The theoretical contribution of this research lies in its exploration of the influences of work-life balance and job engagement on employee retention within the hotel industry. By empirically testing these relationships and differentiating their impacts, the study provides valuable insights for both academia and the practical management of human resources in the hospitality sector

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to elucidate the profound influence of service quality and room rates on hotel guest loyalty within the context of UNP Hotel & Convention Center. Method: Employing an explanatory research design with a quantitative approach, this study examines the interplay between service quality, room rates, and hotel guest loyalty. The study focuses on a population of repeat guests at UNP Hotel & Convention Center. Data was collected from 50 respondents through purposive sampling using a meticulously designed questionnaire. The collected data was subjected to descriptive analysis and path analysis, with the proposed model evaluated using the Smart Partial Least Squares Structural (PLSS) assessment. Results: The findings underscore a compelling and statistically significant correlation between service quality, room rates, and guest loyalty. This highlights a crucial implication for the hotel industry to prioritize and meticulously manage service quality and room pricing in order to foster and amplify guest loyalty. Contribution: This research underscores the pivotal role of service quality and room rates in nurturing guest loyalty at UNP Hotel & Convention Center. The study reaffirms that guest loyalty is intricately tied to the anticipated service quality and pricing. As such, maintaining service quality at par and ensuring competitive room rates could potentially lead to higher guest retention and choice of the hotel. Conversely, a decline in either service quality or competitive pricing may precipitate diminished guest loyalty

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems regarding visitor dissartisfaction with existing attractions, inadewuate acces, unavailability of souvenir and souvenir sellers, lack of health facilities and inadequate maintenance of available facilities.This type of research is classified into quantitative descriptive with a causal associative approach. The sampling technique used in this study is a non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling. The number of samples used amounted to 379 people. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data processing was carried out using the continuum line method. Based on the research conducted, the following results were obtained: The level of satisfaction in terms of the attraction indicator with an average acquisition of 2.43 in the dissatisfied category, The level of satisfaction in terms of accessibility indicators with an average acquisition of 2.42 in the unsatisfied category satisfied, the satisfaction level in terms of facility indicators with an average acquisition of 2.21 with the dissatisfied category, and the satisfaction level in terms of supporting service indicators with an average acquisition of 2.43 with the dissatisfied category

Abstract

The general purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of Brand Trust on the decision to stay at The Axana Hotel Padang. The type of research used in this study is a quantitative approach and causal associations. Guests who have stayed at Axana Hotel Padang participated in the study. The sample consisted of 204 guests who followed a nonvoluntary review strategy. The data collection strategy uses Likert scale surveys that attempt to explore speculation. Data for this study were processed using SPSS 26.00. The results of this study prove that Brand Trust is in the appropriate category (80%). In addition, the decision to stay on the category is enough ie. (75%). Brand Trust had a significant effect on overnight decisions with an R-squared value of 0.397 and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. This means that there are 0.603 that are influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research discusses the impact of tourist attractions on interest in returning to the Sajuta Janjang in Agam Regency, which is motivated by a significant decrease in the visits every year number, pre-research which states that as many as 72% of visitors are not interested in visiting again and there are still negative comments on Google review about Sajuta Janjang. The method for research used is a technique of quantitative method with a approach in causal associative and the technique for sampling uses a purposive sampling which is determined at 220 samples. The technique for data collection uses a questionnaire prepared on a Likert scale which has been tested for validity and reliability. The technique for data analysis uses PLS-SEM software. The R square results show that tourist attraction has a big influence on interest in returning to visit with a percentage value of 70.5% while the remaining percentage of 29.5% is influenced by other factors. The test of hypothesis results obtained a t-statistic of 48.1 > 1.96 and a p value of 0.00 < 0.05, so the research results indicate that the tourist attraction variable has a significant effect on interest in returning to visit. In this research, the conclusion that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected.
