Abstract

The fossil energy reservation decreases day by day, this situation impacted to the   energy crises especially fuel energy which is increasing in the price on over the world. The scientists/researchers are trying to develop the renewable energy (renewable fuel) as the energy  alternative, one of these called biodiesel. Taking the benefit from Jatropha curcas’ seed as raw  material         for the fuel is one of the alternative ways to reduce the fuel demand and also can save the  countries’   foreign exchange. J. curcas’ oil is renewable fuel and non edible oil, so that it will not  compete with oil   consumption, such as palm oil, corn oil, etc. The combination between Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) (1-                   2 ppm) and Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) (0,5 and 1 ppm) for            micro propagation of Castrol oil plant (Jatropha curcas L.) was tried to induce the callus formation by using the meristem shoot as the explants. The result showed that the combination of NAA 1.5  ppm and BAP 0,5 ppm gave the best result for the callus formation.

Abstract

Tumbuhan kersen (Muntingia calabura L) sering dikenal dengan “seri atau cherry”. Kajian terhadap morfologi daun, bunga dan buah tumbuhan kersen dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengenal lebih dalam tentang karakteristik tumbuhan ini. Tumbuhan kersen ini sering digunakan sebagai pohon peneduh di pinggir jalan dikarenakan susunan daunnya yang rindang. Pemanfaatan kersen sebagai bahan obat-obatan dan pangan masih minim, hal ini disebabkan karena nilai ekonomisnya yang rendah dan juga pengetahuan tentang manfaat tumbuhan ini belum diketahui secara luas. Kajian tentang review kandungan fitokimia tumbuhan kersen ini yang berasal dari hasil penelitian para ahli terdahulu diharapkan dapat memberi informasi tentang manfaat kersen sebagai obat tradisional dan bahan pangan.Kata kunci: Muntingia calabura L., Morfologi, Fitokimia, obat herbal

Abstract

The prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCD) in Aceh Province is very high. It is a health problem and the main cause of death due to diabetes, hypertension, stroke, etc. The reason is the low level of community fitness due to lack of movement, low activity and wrong eating patterns. This study aims to measure the effect of fitness, BMI and age on the risk of diabetes mellitus in civil servants. The study used a cross-sectional design and was carried out at the Aceh Provincial Health Office in 2021. The sample was a civil servant from the Aceh Provincial Health Office. Ninety-seven people were taken randomly. The characteristic data collection was conducted by interview. It used BMI and anthropometric data obtained from weighing and measuring the height to determine nutritional status. Blood glucose was collected by laboratory examination of Hba1C using A1CNOW Plus 3021 to detect diabetes mellitus. Fitness data was obtained from jogging (1,6 km) using the Rockport method to obtain the VO2 Max value. Data analysis used the Linear Regression test at a significance level of 95%. The results showed that fitness (p=0,039) and BMI (p=0,011) affected the risk of diabetes (p<0,05), while the age factor was not associated with diabetes (p=0,365) in civil servants. The dominant factor that influences the risk of diabetes is BMI (OR= 4,1). In conclusion, fitness and BMI greatly influence the risk of diabetes in civil servants at the Aceh Provincial Health Office, while the age factor has no significant effect.

Abstract

Pogostemon cablin Benth is one of the most important crops grown in Indonesia, especially in Aceh province. It is well known as Patchouli belongs to Lamiaceae family and shows a great demand for perfume, luxury products, food and beverage industry. This study conducted to determine the effect of organic fertilizers application on the leaf morphology and stomatal density on the Pogostemon cablin Benth. The seedlings were transplanted for three months on the soil mixed either with manure or compost. The results obtained that was no significant different in affecting the leaf morphology of Pogostemon cablin Benth. The treatment with manure application showed the highest leaf length (15.23 cm) and the highest leaf width (10.5 cm), the leaf color is green. While the stomatal density obtained the significant difference among the treatments, the highest stomatal density in both side of the leaf surface showed in the application of manure, 663.5 mm-2 for adaxial part and 486.38 mm-2 for abaxial part. Stomatal type is anisocytic and on the leaf surface was found glandular and non-glandular trichomes.

Abstract

Abstract Phalaenopsis orchids are recognized as the most popular orchid genus in the world, especially in horticultural industry due to their large, colorful, and durable flowers as well as their wider adaptability to room conditions. The characteristics of seedling propagated by vegetative means are not uniform; therefore, propagation through tissue culture is desirable. Abstract

Dalam Undang-Undang no. 18 Tahun 2008 tentang pengelolaan sampah dijelaskan bahwa sampah merupakan sisa-sisa kegiatan keseharian manusia atau proses alam dalam bentuk padat atau semi padat berupa zat organik (yang dapat diuraikan) dan an-organik (yang tidak dapat diuraikan) yang tidak dipakai lagi dan dibuang ke lingkungan. Permasalahan tentang sampah memang termasuk sangat complex. Kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang pengelolaan sampah yang tepat membuat permasalahan ini semakin sukar dipecahkan, termasuk kebiasaan dalam menggabungkan jenis sampah organik dan anorganik di dalam satu tempat. Pengelolaan sampah di Rumah Penyantun Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh termasuk belum tepat, dimana semua jenis sampah masih dicampur di dalam satu tempat dan pengetahuan tentang teknik mendaur ulang sampah yang masih layak dipakaipun belum memadai. Dari hasil kegiatan sosialisasi dan workshop pengelolaan sampah ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta sudah memahami dengan baik tentang perbedaan sampah organik dan anorganik serta mampu meletakkan di tempatnya masing-masing.

Abstract

            Banda Aceh City Qanun Number 5 of 2016 concerning Smoking Free Areas and MPU Fatwa Number 18 of 2014 concerning Smoking in the Islamic view are two regional policies that have been issued and must be implemented optimally to limit and reduce smoking consumption, especially among adolescents and children in Aceh. This study aims to assess the perspectives of tobacco control-related stakeholders on tobacco control policies and practices in Aceh Province for children and adolescents. This study uses a qualitative study design by conducting Focus Group Discussions with twelve people as representatives of stakeholders related to tobacco control efforts in Aceh. The smoking culture of the Acehnese people which has integrated into their way of life has made teenagers and children vulnerable to exposure to cigarettes. But on the other hand, the Islamic view of smoking is in line with the principles of tobacco control where smoking can harm children and adolescents, so it is strictly prohibited in the Islamic view. Therefore, it is suggested that tobacco control interventions in Aceh for children and adolescents can focus on interventions that use a socio-cultural approach. This can guarantee the success of the tobacco control intervention program carried out in certain areas such as Aceh Province, which still has very clear socio-cultural values. In addition, a shared understanding of the dangers of smoking and making clear the law against smoking will strengthen tobacco control in Aceh, where so far the people have carried out everything based on sharia. Strict sanctions for youth and children who smoke and adequate resources are other keys to the success of the practice and implementation of tobacco control policies in Aceh Province.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan judul Sosialisasi Peningkatan Pengetahuan Gizi pada UMKM Pembuatan Kue Tradisional Aceh di Lamlhom Kecamatan Lhoknga Kabupaten Aceh Besar bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat produsen kue tradisional agar dapat memilih bahan-bahan yang tepat dalam proses pembuatan kue sehingga nilai gizinya tetap terjaga. Selanjutnya juga dilakukan sosialisasi tentang metode pelestarian kue tradisional Aceh, sosialisasi tentang branding dan marketing, serta sosialisasi tentang packing dan kemasan. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat pemilik usaha kue tradisional Aceh yang berada di Desa Lamlhom Kecamatan Lhoknga Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di rumah produksi kue tradisional Aceh Start Dodol dengan metode ceramah, simulasi dan diskusi.

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus merupakan suatu kondisi tidak menular karena pankreas tidak mampu membuat insulin seefisien yang seharusnya. Karena diabetes menempati urutan keenam dalam jumlah kematian global, para pemimpin dunia memberikan penekanan dan berusaha untuk mengatasi masalah kesehatan yang ada. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas hidup penderita diabetes tipe 2 di Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2022 di Puskesmas Ulee Kareng. Penelitian menggunakan Sebuah studi deskriptif analitik cross-sectional. Semua orang yang mengikuti penelitian ini menderita diabetes tipe 2 dan bekerja di Balai Kesejahteraan Ulee Kareng di Kota Banda Aceh. Metode pengambilan sampel acak sederhana digunakan untuk memilih 83 orang dari total populasi 493 pasien. Eksplorasi ini dilakukan mulai 17 Januari hingga 31 Januari 2023. Wawancara dilakukan dengan kuesioner sebagai instrumen penelitian, dan digunakan uji chi-square dengan aplikasi SPSS untuk melakukan analisis statistik. Menurut temuan, responden melaporkan memiliki kualitas hidup yang baik pada 28,1 persen kasus, kualitas hidup sedang pada 13,3 persen kasus, kualitas hidup buruk pada 578,8 persen kasus, pengobatan tidak teratur pada 61,4 persen kasus, minimal aktivitas fisik pada 43,4 persen kasus, pola makan yang buruk pada 56,6% kasus, dan komplikasi pada 65,1 persen kasus. Ada hubungan antara pola makan (p-value 0,086), aktivitas fisik (p-value 0,609), pola makan (p-value 0,021), komplikasi (0,058), dan kejadian diabetes melitus tipe 2 di Puskesmas Ulee Kareng Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2022, sesuai temuan uji statistik.Temuan penelitian membawa kita pada kesimpulan bahwa variabel dependen dan variabel independen terkait.
