Abstract

Change suddenly resulted in many educational institutions has not avoided congestion strategy, facilities, and infrastructure held distance learning or online learning. Limitations of media and the skill to operate the hardware and software as a means and infrastructures major can lead to learning that is done it becomes less efficient. Learning done online is rated less effective, so lowering the interaction between lecturers and students and the impact that the students felt, they are difficulty understanding the material and ask the material that they have yet to understand due to lack of concentration. This study will use the descriptive survey that seeks to explain or record the conditions that can describe the situation. In line with the research, objectives sought to describe the difficulties of the students of teacher training that is being or has been carried out in the course PPL SP in elementary schools when the pandemic COVID -19 takes place. The Data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive statistics. It is selected because it corresponds with the purpose of the descriptive method selected. Descriptive statistics serve to interpret the data more easily. Problems faced by students of PGSD Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in the Campus Area of the Attack, among others, difficulties during the implementation of online learning that includes the process of opening and closing the lesson as well as delivering material to the students. Arouse students ' motivation was to be the task of the student PPL SP that difficult.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bentuk kekeliruan anak usia 10-11 tahun dalam menulis karangan faktual ragam eksplanasi serta menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan penyebab adanya kekeliruan dan upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa agar kekeliruan menulis karangan faktual ragam eksplanasi dapat diminimalisasi. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus dengan data penelitian berupa kekeliruan menulis karangan faktual ragam eksplanasi. Langkah-langkah studi kasus: (1) Menentukan dan mendefenisikan pertanyaan penelitian. (2) Menentukan disain dan instrumen penelitian. (3) Mengumpulkan data. (4) Menentukan teknik analisis data. (5) Mempersiapkan laporan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Uji validitas data yang digunakan adalah metode tringulasi, review informan, dan intrarater. Temuan penelitian ini, yaitu: anak merasa mampu menulis karangan faktual ragam eksplanasi, nyatanya ditemukan bahwa anak belum memahami sistem penulisan yang baik dan benar. Banyak anak mengalami kesulitan saat menentukan topik, menetukan tujuan, membuat kerangka karangan, menulis isi, merevisi, mengedit, dan mempublikasi karangan faktual ragam eksplanasi.

Abstract

The Montessori method is a method in the realm of child development education and is formulated based on Montessori theory. This method emphasizes the activities that are raised by the child by emphasizing the process of adapting the child's learning environment according to the stage of development. Mastery of reading skills in schools is one of the language competencies that must be taught. This study aims to describe how the Montessori method improves beginning reading skills in SD Negeri 1 Jatiwaringin students. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of oral, written test results, interviews and direct observation. The Montessori method seeks to help students develop cognitive, psychomotor, and affective abilities in students, by enabling children to learn according to their level of development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse student’s speed reading skill after participating the learning of reading by Skimming technique of digital newspaper at 5th grade in Elementary School. This study was practiced at one of Elementary School in Kecamatan Sumber, Kabupaten Cirebon. The subject of this activity is 25 students of 5th grade. This study used Action Research Method. Based on the results of the analysis, there was an increase in the aspect of student test scores in the pre-research with a score of 70 by 40%, at the end of the first cycle a score of 60% was obtained, and at the end of the second cycle the score increased to 84%. The results of speed reading skills in cycle II have exceeded the specified target. Based on the results of observations made, data were obtained that showed success in improving speed reading skills and increasing student’s understanding in the learning process using the Skimming technique. Thus, it can be concluded that the Skimming technique is able to improve the speed reading skills of 5th grade students in one of the public elementary schools in Kecamatan Sumber, especially in the text contained in digital newspapers, in addition to increasing speed reading skills, there is also a better change in the attitudes of participants students as a form of habituation of discipline in speed reading activities and implemented in other activities in the learning process.

Abstract

Reading comprehension ability in elementary school is crucial for students, in contrary with that low reading comprehension skills and low student learning outcomes are the main problem. This research aims to analyze the reading comprehension abilities of elementary school students using narrative text. The research method used was a mixed method (quantitative and qualitative) with a sample of 30 elementary school students. The data collection technique used tests and interviews. The research results showed that (1) students' ability to grasp the content of narrative text reading accurately obtained an average of 39%, (2) students' ability to grasp implied and explicit meanings accurately obtained an average of 24%, (3) the ability to conclude correctly obtained an average of 24 %, and (4) students' reading habits were obtained, six of seven samples interested in reading, school books and type of fiction (comics and fables) were the sample choices, five of the seven samples could fully understand all words in text and reading comprehension for two of them depending on the type of text read. Further prospect of this research to become a starting point for future research and a specific illustration for stakeholders in deciding literacy policies for elementary school students

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (SLM) program in one of the elementary schools in the city of Bandung. The School Literacy Movement (SLM) program is an effort to make all school residents into literate human resources, as stated in Ministerial Regulation Number 23rd of 2015 concerning Moral Development, which includes habituation to a literacy culture. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The instruments used were interview guides, observation guidelines and learning documentation guidelines. The research results show that the implementation of the SLM program in this school has not been implemented optimally because there are still several obstacles that have not been resolved so that it has not had a positive impact on students' interest in reading and literacy skills. This is indicated by the lack of student reading activity during learning in the school environment and the lack of adequate facilities, infrastructure and facilities.

Abstract

Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini merupakan bentuk diseminasi lanjutan dari penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Aryanto dan upaya internalisasi nilai-nilai ecopreneurship dalam kontekstualisasi sastra anak sebagai bahan penunjang pembelajaran di sekolah dasar dan dilakukan secara kolaboratif di empat kampus penyelenggara diantaranya: Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, Universitas Islam 45, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, dan Universitas Kristen Toraja. Adapun tujuan kegiatan ini diantaranya: (1) Memberikan gambaran konseptual terkait urgensi internalisasi nilai-nilai ecoprenuership; (2) Memberikan pelatihan menulis cerita pendek berbasis ecoprenuership ditinjau dari media pembelajaran sinkronisasi dan asinkronisasi; (3) Mendorong mahasiswa PGSD dalam membuat bahan penunjang pembelajaran terstandarisasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah scaffolding melalui pendekatan design thinking. Hasil pengabdian ini mendorong mahasiswa PGSD sebagai calon guru untuk dapat meningkatkan kompetensi menulis sastra anak berupa fiksimini sebagai penunjang pembelajaran di SD. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian ini diharapkan mampu menghasilkan luaran utama berupa antologi sastra anak berbasis ecopreneurship yang diharapkan representatif dengan kebutuhan siswa SD terutama dalam peningkatan kemampuan literasi

Abstract

The habit of writing and reading in Indonesian society is still very low or not fully developed. In the interest of realizing a generation who likes to read, surely what must be grown first is the interest in reading in each individual. This problem encourages teachers to be able to provide optimal stimulus in fostering interest in reading in student from an early age while still prioritizing child-centered learning. This research implemented a jigsaw cooperative learning model. The research design used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which includes two research cycles. The results second cycle show that 87% of student managed to reach the good category. Research using the Jigsaw Cooperative learning model on student's reading interest showed a significant increase. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model can increase student's reading interest.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas penggunaan aplikasi yang sering digunakan oleh siswa sekolah dasar di Pulau Jawa. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian survei dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis. Penerapan metode survei deskriptif analitis memungkinkan peneliti untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang akurat tentang preferensi penggunaan aplikasi si kalangan siswa. Analisis data menyediakan informasi yang komprehensif tentang distribusi penggunaan aplikasi dan perbedaan motivasi penggunaan antarsiswa dalam berbagai tingkatan sekolah dasar. Survei melibatkan 546 siswa dari berbagai wilayah di Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, dan Jawa Timur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami secara mendalam pola penggunaan aplikasi yang populer, motivasi penggunaan, dan durasi penggunaan aplikasi oleh siswa. Hasil survei menunjukkan variasi dalam pola aktivitas siswa. Aplikasi WhatsApp adalah yang paling populer dengan 189 siswa menggunakan aplikasi ini. TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, dan Facebook juga digunakan oleh siswa untuk tujuan hiburan, edukasi, dan komunikasi. Aplikasi WhatsApp menjadi prioritas utama yang sering digunakan oleh siswa, menandakan peran pentingnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Hal ini juga menunjukkan bahwa belum mengeksplorasi potensi maksimal dari telepon selular pintar (selpin) yang mereka gunakan misalnya penggunaanya untuk memperoleh pengetahuan atau pekerjaan di luar konteks komunikasi dengan kawan dekat saja.This research discusses the usage of applications commonly used by elementary school students in Java Island. The method employed is analytical descriptive survey research. The application of analytical descriptive survey method allows researchers to gain accurate understanding of user preferences among students. Data analysis provides comprehensive information on the distribution of application usage and differences in usage motivation among students at various levels of elementary school. The survey involved 546 students from various regions in West Java, Central Java, and East Java. The aim of this research is to deeply understand patterns of popular application usage, motivation for usage, and duration of usage by students. Survey results indicate variations in student activity patterns. WhatsApp is the most popular application with 189 students using it. TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook are also used by students for entertainment, education, and communication purposes. WhatsApp emerges as the top priority application frequently used by students, indicating its significant role in their daily lives. It also suggests that the full potential of the smartphones they use, such as utilizing them for acquiring knowledge or work beyond the context of communication with close friends, has not been fully explored.
