Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe round robin dengan pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Urgensi penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa Indonesia yang ditunjukkan oleh studi internasional seperti PISA dan TIMSS, serta masih dominannya pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru sehingga siswa kurang aktif dan kesulitan memahami konsep matematika secara mendalam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas X SMAN 2 Bulukumba. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling menggunakan aplikasi spinner untuk mengundi kelas dari sembilan kelas yang ada, dan hasil undian menetapkan Kelas X-6 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata posttest sebesar 84,81 (kategori tinggi) dan gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,7 (kategori tinggi). Sementara itu, ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 96,29%, melebihi target kriteria ketuntasan minimal sebesar 75%. Uji hipotesis menggunakan one sample t-test dan proportion test mengonfirmasi bahwa hasil belajar mengalami peningkatan signifikan (Sig. < 0,05). Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe round robin dengan pendekatan matematika realistik terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar guru menerapkan model ini sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual, dan penelitian lanjutan dapat mengembangkan media atau modul berbasis model tersebut untuk materi lain.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) learning at the elementary school level in Makassar. This study employed a mixed methods approach, specifically the QUANqual type of explanatory sequential design. The survey method was used to collect and analyze quantitative data, while interviews and documentation methods were used for qualitative non-numerical data. The respondents consisted of elementary school teachers in Makassar who were selected using simple random sampling. The results showed that using SWOT analysis and internal strategic factors analysis summary-external strategic factors analysis summary (IFAS-EFAS) calculations, the strengths-opportunities (SO) strategy has the highest score of 4.27. In addition, the weaknesses-opportunities (WO), strengths-threats (ST), and weaknesses-threats (WT) strategies received consecutive scores of 3.25, 2.71, and 1.69, respectively. It suggests that STEAM learning in Makassar is in a growth stage due to its strengths and opportunities that support the development of STEAM education in the city.

Abstract

Program PKM dilakukan dengan metode memberikan pelatihan, bimbingan, dan pendampingan kepada peserta mengenai pelatihan inovasi model pembelajaran berbasis matematika realistik yang dilakukan secara luring. Tujuan pelaksanaan PKM yaitu (1) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan pengetahuan peserta mengenai inovasi pengembangan model-model pembelajaran, (2) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai pembelajaran matematika realistik, (3) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam proses pembelajaran, dan (4) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam proses pembelajaran. Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan pada SD Negeri 2 Malino Kecamatan Tinggi Moncong, Kabupaten Gowa, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pembimbingan dan pendampingan kepada peserta secara daring. Peserta kegiatan PKM adalah guru-guru Sekolah Dasar di Malino Kecamatan Tinggi Moncong. Materi yang disajikan dalam kegiatan PKM yaitu (1) teori & konsep: pembelajaran matematika realistic, (2) pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis matematika realistic, dan (3) implementasi pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan program PKM yaitu (1) meningkatnya kompetensi dan pengetahuan peserta mengenai inovasi pengembangan model-model pembelajaran, (2) meningkatnya pengetahuan mengenai pembelajaran matematika realistik, (3) meningkatnya kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam proses pembelajaran, dan (4) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika realistik dalam proses pembelajaran. Luaran/output kegiatan PKM yaitu (1) laporan hasil pelaksanaan PKM, (2) artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan dalam prosiding ber-ISBN dari seminar nasional, (3) artikel pada media massa cetak/elektronik, (4) video yang kegiatan yang dipublikasikan secara luas pada media online youtube, dan (5) adanya peningkatan keberdayaan mitra sesuai permasalahan yang dihadapi.

Abstract

Desa Sehat merupakan program kerja yang diusung oleh mahasiswa dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat dan mencegah penyebaran penyakit di Desa Bune melalui beberapa kegiatan, seperti penyuluhan kesehatan gigi dan mulut, senam, dan Jumat Bersih. Berdasarkan hasil survei situasi dan lapangan, salah satu masalah masyarakat adalah terkait masalah tentang kesehatan yaitu masih rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat Desa Bune dalam menjaga kesehatan diri dan kebersihan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, Tim KKN Tematik UNM 2023 melalui program Desa Sehat diharapkan mampu menjawab permasalahan masyarakat. Melalui program ini dapat memberdayakan masyarakat Desa Bune untuk hidup sehat sebagai penunjang kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui kegiatan kesehatan dan olahraga. Dalam program ini terdapat 3 kegiatan yang dilaksanakan yaitu penyuluhan/edukasi kesehatan gigi dan mulut, senam dan jumat bersih. Program Desa Sehat ini diikuti oleh seluruh kalangan masyarakat Desa Bune. Dalam program ini ada yang bersifat rutin dan ada yang hanya satu kali pelaksanaan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat yang menjadi sasaran memberikan respon yang baik dan kontribusi yang besar terhadap program yang dilaksanakan.

Abstract

This service is conducted in Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi Province. It is motivated by several issues faced by our partners, including the limited knowledge of teachers in utilizing Zotero through Microsoft Word for automatic reference citations, the relatively low awareness of the basic applications for referencing among teachers, and the need for teachers to prepare themselves in creating automated references. Therefore, the objective of this activity is to address these partner-related issues. The methods employed include outreach and teaching, discussions, and collaborative training between the implementers and the partners. The training participants are middle school math teachers from Takalar Regency, members of the Mathematics Subject Teachers' Meeting organization (MGMP Matematika SMP). Through this activity, it is expected that teachers' knowledge in utilizing the Zotero application will increase, raising awareness and understanding among teachers about the importance of flexible and automatic reference application usage, enhancing teachers' insight, abilities, and skills in utilizing Microsoft Word to be more informative and innovative.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate the IDCIR (Incubation, Divergence, Convergence, Innovation, Reflection) mathematics learning model as an effort to improve problem-solving skills and creative thinking abilities of junior high school students. The background of this research is grounded in the low levels of numeracy and mathematical reasoning abilities among Indonesian students, as reflected in the results of PISA 2022 and AKM 2024. To address these issues, this study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adapting the Plomp model, which includes the stages of preliminary investigation, design and development, as well as implementation and assessment. The resulting product consists of a learning model along with supporting materials such as lesson plans, teacher's guidebooks, student textbooks, student worksheets, and assessment instruments. Validation was conducted by experts in subject matter, pedagogy, and evaluation, showing that the IDCIR model meets the validity criteria in terms of content, construct, language, and visual design of the learning materials. Practicality testing in three schools indicated that the model can be implemented effectively, its syntax is easy for teachers to follow, and students responded positively to the learning activities. Furthermore, effectiveness testing using a pretest–posttest control group design revealed that students who learned through the IDCIR model experienced significant improvements in problem-solving skills, creativity indicators (fluency, flexibility, originality), and learning engagement compared to students in the control group. Thus, the IDCIR model is declared valid, practical, and effective, and can be recommended as an innovative alternative in mathematics instruction to support the achievement of 21st-century competencies.

Abstract

Mathematics education students continue to struggle with the complex notion of spatial geometry. Therefore, learning approaches should incorporate strong conceptual understanding. This study examined the effectiveness of flipped classroom-based geometry learning combined with metacognitive scaffolding in developing students’ spatial ability. It also identified students’ spatial knowledge needs, types of metacognitive questions posed by the teacher, and forms of scaffolding used. A mixed-methods design was employed, consisting of an exploratory qualitative phase followed by a quasi-experimental phase. The qualitative phase explored key spatial knowledge demands and scaffolding patterns through questionnaires and interviews, while the quasi-experimental phase compared three instructional conditions: flipped classroom with metacognitive scaffolding, flipped classroom without scaffolding, and conventional instruction. Results indicated that students needed four types of spatial geometry knowledge: 3D coordinate representation, geometric transformation, spatial visualization, and angle–distance relationships. Teachers’ metacognitive questions mainly emphasized awareness of understanding, while conceptual scaffolding was more dominant than metacognitive scaffolding. Quantitatively, students in the flipped classroom with metacognitive scaffolding showed greater improvements in spatial ability. These findings suggest integrating self-directed learning and metacognitive support in geometry learning that requires advanced visualization and independent thinking.

Abstract

Climate change has intensified the risk of crop failure and economic losses in the shallot farming sector, necessitating the development of insurance premium models that are adaptive to climate dynamics. This study aims to evaluate existing agricultural insurance premium models for shallots and to develop a new approach that is more responsive, equitable, and sustainable through the integration of data science and statistics. The main innovation of this research lies in the application of a modified Black–Scholes model, incorporating two key variables: rainfall index and shallot production risk. This model serves as the basis for determining insurance premiums in Tasikmalaya Regency. Simulations were conducted using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to shallot farmers, as well as secondary data on production records and rainfall from 2016 to 2024. The estimation results reveal a positive and significant relationship between rainfall percentiles and insurance premiums, where higher rainfall levels tend to be associated with increased production and insured value, leading to higher premium rates. These findings offer practical insights for insurance companies in designing more accurate and sustainable index-based premium schemes for shallot commodities.
