Abstract

Mangroves (Rhizophora apiculata) are one of the plants that grow in mangrove forests. The significant degradation of mangrove forests in Indonesia requires effective and efficient rehabilitation efforts. Efforts to provide superior seeds in a short time and in large quantities, one of which is through tissue culture. ZPT (Growth Regulator) Kinetin and IAA in balance can stimulate the morphogenesis process in the explant. This study used a 4×4 factorial randomized complete (RAL) design with 3 replications. The first factor is the concentration of kinetin. 0 mg/L, 1 mg/L, 3 mg/L, and 5 mg/L. The second factor is IAA concentrations of 0 mg/L, 0.5 mg/L, 1 mg/L, and 1.5 mg/L. The parameters observed were explant growth time, explant growth percentage, and bud height. The results showed an interaction with the plant growth time factor, and the best plant growth rate was achieved using the kinetin treatment of 5 mg/L and the IAA treatment of 1.5 mg/L, while the best shoot height factor was found in the kinetin treatment of 5 mg/L. l and IAA 1 mg/L treatment concentrate.

Abstract

Diagnostic assessment is a crucial step in the differentiated learning process as an implementation of the Merdeka curriculum. This study aimed to develop a diagnostic assessment instrument that can identify students' learning styles and critical thinking skills, especially in the Cell and Bioprocess material, in the context of implementing the Independent Curriculum. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Borg and Gall development model. The subjects of the study were 35 grade X students of SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru who were selected randomly. Data analysis was carried out using the Rasch model with Winstep. The results of the study showed that the critical thinking diagnostic instrument had high validity and good reliability, while the learning style instrument had low reliability and needed further improvement. Several learning style assessment items were considered invalid and had to be adjusted or discarded. This diagnostic assessment instrument is expected to help teachers develop more effective learning strategies that are in accordance with the individual needs of students, so that it can improve the quality of learning, especially in understanding the Cell and Bioprocess material.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Bekasam merupakan proses pengawetan dengan teknik fermentasi menggunakan ikan, beras sebagai sumber karbohidrat, dan garam yang dimasukkan ke dalam toples tertutup rapat dan disimpan selama beberapa hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis-jenis sumber karbohidrat dari perbagai perlakuan beras terhadap mutu ikan sepat toakang (Helestoma temminckii) dari mutu kimia dan organoleptik. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan percobaan dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) menggunakan konsentrasi sumber karbohidrat sebanyak 50% dari berat ikan, yaitu beras, nasi karak, nasi panggang, dan tepung beras. Jumlah perlakuan yang digunkan yaitu 4 perlakuan (beras sanggrai, nasi, kerak dan tepung beras) dengan jumlah pengulangan masing-masing 3 kali. Parameter yang diamati adalah kandungan protein, kandungan lemak, pH dan kadar air. Penambahan berbagai jenis sumber karbohidrat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas ikan sepat bekas toakang dari kualitas kimia dan organoleptik dengan hasil terbaik yaitu perlakuan nasi sangrai dengan kandungan protein 16,12%, kadar lemak 6,86%, kadar air 68,83%, dari segi warna dan aroma,  Yaitu warna yang baik dan merata secara optimal serta aroma khas bekasam dan aroma yang sangat tajam. Kandungan nilai mutu ikan sepat toakang bekas telah memenuhi kriteria TKPI dan dapat dikonsumsi. Kata kunci: jenis sumber karbohidrat, bekasam, kualitas, ikan sepat toakang ABSTRACT Bekasam is a preservation process with fermentation techniques using fish, rice as a source of carbohydrates, and salt which is put in a tightly closed jar and stored for several days. The purpose of this study was to determine how the influence of the type of carbohydrate source on the quality of the former toakang sepat fish (Helestoma temminckii) from chemical and organoleptic quality. This type of research is an experiment with a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) using a concentration of carbohydrate sources as much as 50% of fish weight, namely rice, rice karak, roasted rice, and rice flour. The total treatment obtained was 4 treatments with the number of repetitions 3 times each. The parameters observed were protein content, fat content, pH, and water content. The addition of various types of carbohydrate sources has a significant effect on the quality of the former toakang sepat fish from chemical and organoleptic quality with the best results, namely the treatment of roasted rice with a protein content of 16.12%, fat content of 6.86%, water content of 68.83%, in terms of color and aroma, namely a good color and optimally evenly distributed and a distinctive aroma of bekasam and very sharp aroma. The quality value content of used toakang sepat fish has met the TKPI criteria and can be consumed.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the quality of the Eclipse-based e-module with a guided inquiry model on the digestive system material, as well as to analyze the influence of the Eclipse-based e-module with the guided inquiry model on students' interest and learning outcomes on the digestive system material in class XI SMA. Based on observations, many students find it difficult to understand biological concepts due to the lack of videos and images, e-modules can help students in the learning process. This research consists of two stages, namely the development and implementation stage of an Eclipse-based e-module with a guided inquiry model to increase student interest and learning outcomes in the process of learning digestive system material using Research & Development through the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation) approach. , and Evaluation). The analysis stage was carried out by observation using a questionnaire and the design stage was carried out using various computer software with the help of Eclipse software. Based on the results of the development and implementation test of the Eclipse-based e-module product with a guided inquiry model, it was found that the quality of the Eclipse-based e-module product with a guided inquiry model was very good, and the increase in interest and learning outcomes in the experimental class increased significantly compared to the control class.

Abstract

Process of science learning stresses on giving students direct experience to develop their competence. Therefore, teachers are required to be creative and innovative to improve students’ critical thinking. Accordingly, there is a need for a research on “The science learning based on guided inquiry integration with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) toward critical thinking skill”. This research aim to figure out of influence of the science learning based on guided inquiry integration with NHT. This research is a quasi-experimental study, with design "non-equivalent group control design". This research was conducted at September-December 2018 with samples of the experimental class (n = 40) and the control class (n = 40) at class VIII SMP N 21 Pekanbaru. The research instrument consisted of questions to test students' critical thinking skills. This shows the research instrument at a good and quality stage. The results of this study note that there are significant differences in the average value of the Post test students' critical thinking skills between the experimental class amounted to 75.00 with the control class 67.00 after the intervention (P <0.05). So that the use of Integration of guided inquiry with NHT in the learning process can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The K13 Curriculum requires students thinking skills, especially in the regulation of cognition which consists of planning, information management strategies, monitoring, examination of actions, and evaluation. This study aims to look at the metacognitive abilities of class X students of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru on the concept of environmental pollution through mind mapping with problem based learning models. This type of research was a quasi experiment using two classes, one class as an experimental class and one class as a control class. The experimental class used mind mapping models of problem based learning and the control class used conventional learning. The research design used a pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection techniques used questionnaires metacognitive abilities and description test questions. The analysis technique used the Anova test analysis. The results of the pretest and posttest showed a significant increase in students metacognitive abilities through mind mapping with the problem based learning model of the concept of environmental pollution at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru with a significance value of 0,000. Sig. (0,000) < then H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that the metacognitive abilities of students are increased through mind mapping with problem based learning models on the concept of environmental pollution.

Abstract

The validity of textbooks is an important thing before it is used in the learning. This study aims to determine the level of validity of the 2013 curriculum-based biology textbook that is integrated to the ayat Kauniyah (Kauniyah verses). The research was conducted on the campus of the Master of Biology Education Study Program, FKIP, Riau University. The validation of the textbook was carried out by 5 validators consisting of 3 experts according to their fields and expertise, and 2 validators from education practitioners. The validators from the expert element consists of Plant Science expert, Animal Science expert and one expertist on the integration of kauniyah verses. While the validator from the education practitioner element consists of 2 SMAIT teachers who are members of the city biology subject teacher deliberation (MGMP) Pekanbaru. The developed Biology textbooks based on the 2013 curriculum with the integration of kauniyah verses were declared very valid with an average of 95.20%. If detailed based on indicators, the results obtained are 94.44% in appearance aspects (very valid), 96.53% content aspects (very valid), 97.22% presentation aspects (very valid), 95.00% linguistic aspects (very valid) ) and aspects of the kauniyah verses 92.82% (very valid)

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that aims to produce a test instrument for the knowledge of candidates for Biology Education undergraduate candidates for the Technologhy Pedagogy and Content Knowledge (TPACK) and Indonesian National Qualifications Framework. The study was a development with plomp models conducted at the stage of development. Data collection was done by validation and testing. Validation aims to look at the alignment of experts' opinions, while testing serves to see the handling of the problem by analyzing the test results. Data obtained from test results analysis using rasch modelling with the help of the winstep software. The results of the analysis are in the form of the value of reliability, unidimensionality, level of difficulty, distinguishing power, distractor and person - item map. The results showed that the number of valid questions was 63 items, the number of questions that were invalid or not accepted was 17 items. Invalid questions must be followed up in order to produce a good knowledge test instrument so that it can be used in measuring the mastery of TPACK for prospective teachers and biology teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce Think Talk Write (TTW) electronic modules with nitro pro as teaching materials on appropriate biotechnology materials so that they can be used in distance learning. Data collection was carried out in March-April 2021 with 10 class XII students at SMA 1 Lubuk Batu Jaya and SMA 2 Lubuk Batu Jaya for the 2020/2021 academic year. The development model in research is Research And Development (R&D) development which uses the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages of development namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Data collection consisted of interview sheets, material expert validation sheets, media experts, biology teachers and student response questionnaires. Results of validation by material experts 82% (very qualified), media experts 94% (very qualified) and biology teachers 91% (very qualified), recapitulation results 87% with category (very qualified) and student response questionnaire results 88% (very good ). It was concluded that the Think Talk Write (TTW) Electronic Module with Nitro Pro as a Teaching Material for Biotechnology Materials is very suitable for use in high school.

Abstract

Research on the development of an integrated science pocket book based on scientific literacy on environmental pollution and climate change aims to see the validity, practicality and response of students. This study used ADDIE's research development (R&D) which consisted of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. But in this research only reached the development stage. Data is collected through a questionnaire. After analyzing the needs and designing an integrated science literacy-based pocket book, the research proceeded to the development process. Scientific literacy consists of 4 aspects, each aspect has its own indicator code. At the pocket book development stage it was validated by five experts, namely, material experts, media experts and 2 teachers. The results showed that the validation of material, media, pedagogic experts , and 2 teachers was 3.42 with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test obtained a score of 81.84 which can be categorized as very practical, and the results of the student response test obtained a score of 86.05 in the very good category . In conclusion, the development of integrated science pocket books based on scientific literacy on environmental pollution and climate change is stated to be very valid, practical and very well used by students in the learning process.
