Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan penggunaan LKPD IPA berbasis Siklus Belajar Lawson dan 5M terhadap (1) keterampilan investigasi dan (2) hasil belajar kognitif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental dengan non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan pemilihan secara acak (cluster random sampling) sehingga diperoleh kelas VIII E SMPN 1 Sewon sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 yang menggunakan LKPD berbasis Siklus Belajar Lawson dan kelas VIII H SMPN 1 Sewon sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 yang menggunakan LKPD berpendekatan 5M. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada penggunaan LKPD berbasis Siklus Belajar Lawson dan berpendekatan 5M terhadap (1) keterampilan investigasi peserta didik dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,000 dan (2) hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,000.Kata kunci : LKPD IPA, Siklus Belajar Lawson, 5M, Keterampilan Investigasi, Hasil Belajar Kognitif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui proses model Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan oral activities dan hasil belajar kognitif IPA siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Salam, Kabupaten Magelang, (2) mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan oral activities dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada tema materi pencemaran air. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakanmodel Problem Based Learning. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, tes hasil belajar kognitif, dan lembar observasi oral activities siswa. Kemampuan oral activities dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif IPA menggunakan gain score. Dari hasil analisis menggunakan teknik persentase diperoleh kenaikan oral activities siswa dengan kategori baik pada siklus I sebesar 26,47% (9 siswa), menjadi 61,76% (21 siswa) di siklus II. Besarnya peningkatan persentase oral activities siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu 35,29%. Pada analisis gain score untuk hasil belajar kognitif IPA siswa diperoleh hasil gain score siklus I sebesar 0.55 dan siklus II yaitu 0.62. Peningkatan gain score hasil belajar kognitif darisiklus I ke siklus II sebesar 0.07. Persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar kognitif IPA pada siklus I sebesar 82,36% (28 siswa) dan siklus II sebesar 85,29% (29 siswa).Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar Kognitif IPA, Model Problem Based Learning, Oral ActivitiesThis research aims to (1) know the process of the model of the Problem Based Learning in improving the oral activities and the results of cognitive learning science the students of class VII SMP 1 Salam, Magelang Regency, (2) know how big improvement of oral activities and the results of cognitive learning students on the theme of the material water pollution. The research method used is the Class Action Research (CAR) using the model of the Problem Based Learning. Instrument used in the form of observation sheet of learning implementation, test results of cognitive learning and observation sheet oral activities students. Oral ability activities were analyzed using the technique of percentage while the results of the cognitive learning science using gain score. The results of the study showed that the PBL model can improve the oral activities and the results of cognitive learning students. There are five steps in PBL teaching models that is giving the orientation about the problem to the students, organising students to examine, help independent investigation and groups to develop and present their artifact and exhibit, analyze and evaluate the process to resolve the issue. From the results of the analysis using the technique of the percentage obtained oral increase student activities with good category at cycle I of 26,47% (9 students), become 61,76% (21 students) in the cycle II. An increase in the percentage of oral activities students from I cycle to the cycle II namely 35,29%. On the analysis of the gain score for the results of cognitive learning science students obtained the results of score gains I cycle of 0.55 and the cycle II namely 0.62. Increased gain score results of cognitive learning from I cycle to the cycle II of 0.07. The percentage of learning in line with the results of the cognitive learning science at cycle I of 82,36% (28 students) and the cycle II of 85,29% (29 students).Keywords: Oral Activities, The Model of the Problem Based Learning, The Results of Cognitive Learning Science

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif berbasis lectora inspire yang valid, (2) mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif (3) mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik setelah menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif, dan (3) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model 4-D. Prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan ini meliputi tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar validasi multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif, angket respon peserta didik terhadap multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif, angket motivasi belajar peserta didik dan soal pretest-posttest hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data kelayakan multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif dan respon peserta didik adalah konversi skor kuantitatif menjadi nilai kualitatif dengan empat kategori. Teknik analisis motivasi belajar adalah paired sample t-test dan pengubahan nilai kualitatif menjadi kuantitatif lalu menghitung persentase dan mengubahnya menjadi lima kategori. Teknik analisis data skor pretest-posttest hasil belajar adalah paired sample t-test dan perhitungan n-gain score. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif yang dikembangkan peneliti, menurut dosen ahli dan guru IPA masuk kategori sangat baik. (2) Respon peserta didik terhadap multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif masuk kategori sangat baik. (3) Motivasi belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan setelah menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif, dengan peningkatan sebesar 9,64%. (4) Hasil belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan setelah menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran IPA interaktif dengan n-gain score sebesar 0,53 yang masuk kategori sedang.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Lectora Inspire, Motivasi Belajar, Multimedia Pembelajaran IPA interaktifThis study aims to: (1) develop a valid science interactive multimedia learning based lectora inspire, (3) to know the improvement of learning motivation of learners after using interactive learning IPA multimedia, and (3) to know the improvement of learning achievement of learners after using interactive multimedia learning IPA. This research is a research and development with 4-D model. This research and development procedure includes define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The data were collected by using interactive interactive learning IPA validation sheets, questionnaires of students' responses to interactive IPA learning media, motivation questionnaire of learners and pretest-posttest of learning achievement. The technique of data analysis of the feasibility of interactive multimedia learning of IPA and the response of learners is the conversion of quantitative score into qualitative value with four categories. Techniques of learning motivation analysis are paired sample t-test and conversion of qualitative value into quantitative then calculate the percentage and convert it into five categories. Data analysis technique of pretest-posttest score of learning result is paired sample t-test and n-gain score calculation. The results of this study are (1) interactive learning IPA multimedia developed by researchers, according to expert lecturers and science teachers in very good category. (2) The response of learners to interactive learning IPA multimedia is very good. (3) Students' learning motivation significantly improved after using interactive interactive science teaching, with an increase of 9.64%. (4) Students' learning achievement have increased significantly after using interactive multimedia learning with n-gain score of 0,53 in the medium category.Key Words:Learning Motivation, Learning Achievement, Lectora Inspire, Science Interactive Multimedia Learning

Abstract

       Terciptanya sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas sangat diperlukan untuk mengatasi tantangan dan persaingan global pada abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) menghasilkan LKPD IPA berbasis Problem Based Learning pada pokok bahasan “Pencemaran Air” yang layak secara teoritis; dan 2) mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik setelah menggunakan LKPD IPA berbasis Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development dengan model define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) dihasilkan LKPD IPA berbasis PBL yang layak dengan kategori sangat baik(A) secara teoritis, 2) peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif setelah menggunakan LKPD IPA berbasis Problem Based Learning menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan setelah diuji signifikansi dengan uji t berkorelasi.Kata Kunci: LKPD IPA, Problem Based Learning, Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif.       The creation of quality human resources is needed to overcome challenges and global competition in the 21st century. The research aims (1) to produce science student activity sheet using Problem Based Learning model on the subject “Pencemaran Air” wich is suitable based theoretical; and (2) to know increase of students’s creative thinking skill after using the science student activity sheet with Problem Based Learning model. Development research of science student activity sheet using model define, design, develop, and disseminate. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) IPA berbasis Siklus Belajar Lawson terhadap kemampuan observasi dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental) menggunakan pretest dan posttest group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Berbah. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pemilihan kelas secara acak (cluster random sampling) sehingga diperoleh kelas VIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan LKPD IPA berbasis Siklus Belajar Lawson dan kelas VIIB sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan LKPD sekolah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal kognitif, lembar observasi kemampuan observasi, dan lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi independent sample t-test, uji manova, dan uji effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis melalui uji independent sample t-test pada kemampuan kognitif diperoleh nilai Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,595 (Sig ½ α). Besar pengaruh diukur menggunakan effect size pada kemampuan observasi sebesar 0,65 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan pada hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 0,45 yang termasuk dalam kategori rendah, sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan LKPD IPA berbasis Siklus Belajar Lawson berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan observasi dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD IPA berbasis Siklus Belajar Lawson merupakan salah satu fasilitas yang dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk mengembangkan cara berpikir melalui keterampilan mengobservasi fenomena-fenomena alam di sekitar mereka sehingga hasil belajar menjadi lebih bermakna.Kata kunci: Kognitif, LKPD, Siklus Belajar Lawson, Kemampuan Observasi

Abstract

This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of the cinnamon extract in inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli. The research design was a laboratory experiment consisting of three phases, namely the preparation phase of cinnamon extract using the maceration method using 96% ethanol, the characterization phase consisting of qualitative analysis with phytochemical tests and quantitative analysis with UV-Vis spectrophotometry, and the application phase including antibacterial activity test by disc diffusion method (Kirby-Bauer Test). The concentration series were 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%, chloramphenicol as the positive control and methanol as the negative control. The results showed that cinnamon extract positively contained flavonoids with a total content of 1.310 mg QE/g or 0.131%. Cinnamon extract is effective as an antibacterial in the medium category with the optimum concentration to inhibit Escherichia coli is 40% indicated by the diameter of the inhibition zone of 9.55 mm at 12 hours of incubation. Therefore, the cinnamon extract has potential activity against Escherichia coli.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are 21st century skills that can be improved through the use of appropriate learning models and supported by the prior knowledge that students already have. One of the learning models that can improve critical thinking skills is the SET learning model through the Science E-Module. The purpose of this study was to show the effectiveness of the application of SETS-based e-modules in Natural Science (IPA) subjects with the topic of waves and sound to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study used a quantitative descriptive design with one-group pretest-posttest technique. The sample consisted of 29 students from class VIII.C who were selected through cluster sampling. Data were analyzed using the normalized N-gain method and paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average N-gain of students' critical thinking skills after implementing learning through SETS-based science e-modules on wave and sound material was 0.4, including in the medium category. The average critical thinking skills of students after the intervention (72) were significantly higher than before the intervention (51). In addition, students' response to the SETS-based science e-module on wave and sound material resulted in a score of 90.4% which showed very good criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of SETS-based science on wave and sound materials can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study intends to ascertain whether problem-based learning e-books for optical devices can improve students' critical thinking skills. Quasy experiment approach one group pretest and posttest used in this research. A total of 45 students of class XI MIPA MAN 1 Yogyakarta were used as research subjects. Pretest and posttest values of critical thinking in the material of optical instruments were used to collect research data. N-gain and Wilcoxon test were used for data analysis. The N-gain value obtained was 0.45 which met the medium criteria. The results showed that electronic books with problem-based learning on optical devices increased students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of guided inquiry-based E-LKPD on students' global warming material. This type of research uses a pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were all students of MAN 1 Yogyakarta. The research sample was 64 divided into two classes. Data collection on concept understanding uses multiple choice tests. Research data was collected from the pre-test and post-test understanding of the concept of global warming material. The results of the research show that E-LKPD based on guided inquiry on global warming material is less effective in increasing the conceptual understanding of class obtained was 0.77 in the high category and 77% in the effective category.
