Abstract

This article explores in depth the strategic role of leadership and management in Islamic educational institutions. Islamic education does not merely aim to develop students intellectually, but also seeks to instill spiritual, moral, and social values. Therefore, the success of Islamic educational institutions is highly influenced by leaders who can serve as role models (uswah hasanah), possess strong managerial competencies, and uphold Islamic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), justice (‘adl), and deliberation (musyawarah). The research method employed is library research with a descriptive-analytical approach, reviewing relevant literature including scholarly books, journals, and classical and contemporary Islamic sources. The findings reveal that leadership and management grounded in Islamic values impact not only academic achievement but also significantly contribute to character building and the organizational culture of educational institutions. The implementation of prophetic leadership values and systematic management based on sharia emerges as a solution for building excellent Islamic education—responsive to contemporary developments while preserving the spiritual essence of Islam.

Abstract

Postpartum mothers often experience changes both physiologically and psychologically, one of which is a change in body reaction due to uterine contractions. This causes discomfort in the mother, especially in the abdominal area due to uterine contractions called afterpains. Pain due to uterine contractions (afterpains) requires treatment to be minimized or suppressed as little as possible. As a midwife who provides loving care for mothers, the pain felt by the mother needs to be intervened, one of which is by providing effleurage massage. To determine the effectiveness of effleurage massage on afterpains in multiparous postpartum mothers on day 1 with normal delivery at Medirossa 2 Cibarusah Hospital.: Quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest one group design. The sample in this study were all multiparous postpartum mothers on day 1 with normal delivery who met the inclusion criteria in November to December 2023 as many as 32 people, the sampling technique was total sampling. The research instrument used a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) pain scale observation sheet. The statistical test used was the Wilcoxon test. There was a decrease in pain intensity after effleurage massage intervention where before effleurage massage the median value was 4 (minimum 1, maximum 7) and the pain intensity after effleurage massage the median value was 2 (minimum 0, maximum 4). From the results of the Wilcoxon test, p.value = 0.000 (α <0.05) was obtained. There is effectiveness of effleurage massage on afterpains in multiparous postpartum mothers on day 1 with normal delivery at Medirossa 2 Cibarusah Hospital in 2023. It is hoped that midwives can apply effleurage massage as one of the techniques to relieve afterpains in postpartum mothers with normal delivery.

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has significantly impacted the education sector, particularly in the development of Indonesian Language writing skills. This study aims to explore how users utilize AI to enhance their Indonesian Language writing skills and to examine their feelings and experiences when using this technology. The study investigated 52 high school students from four schools in Lhokseumawe, Indonesia, who are familiar with using AI in their studies, including writing. This study explores Indonesian high school students' perception and use of AI for writing skills improvement, highlighting benefits and challenges, and the need for guided AI integration in education. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through non-participatory online observation, semi-structured interviews, and digital content analysis. The results of the study show that AI helps users improve their grammar, expand their vocabulary, and write more structured texts. However, several limitations were identified, including dependence on the system and a lack of guidance for independent critical thinking. These findings suggest that AI has the potential to be an effective tool for learning to write, but its use still needs to be guided by instructions so as not to reduce the active learning process.

Abstract

Abstract mustahik. Furthermore, current data indicate the existence of zakat management institutions operating without official authorization, posing risks of misuse of religious social funds. Therefore, optimizing the zakat fitrah management system through enhanced inter-institutional coordination, digital technology utilization, and public education is imperative to ensure more effective and impactful zakat distribution. Zakat fitrah is a religious obligation for every Muslim who possesses sufficient wealth, functioning primarily as an instrument of economic redistribution and spiritual purification prior to the Eid al-Fitr celebration. The effectiveness of zakat fitrah distribution management is a crucial factor in ensuring accurate and timely allocation to eligible recipients (mustahik). This study aims to analyze the zakat fitrah distribution system in four selected regions of Central Kalimantan: Sukamara, Kotawaringin Timur, Palangka Raya, and Barito Selatan. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews and direct observation as primary data collection techniques. In addition, a normative juridical method is applied to examine relevant regulations governing zakat distribution and the authority of managing institutions. The findings reveal that zakat fitrah distribution in these areas is generally conducted through mosques, zakat institutions, and local government bodies. However, several challenges persist, including unequal distribution, limited use of information technology for zakat recordkeeping, and inadequate oversight in the allocation process to mustahik. The study also highlights the continued operation of unauthorized zakat institutions, as reported by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2023, which potentially undermines transparency and accountability in zakat fitrah management. Moreover, the presence of unlicensed zakat managers poses a risk of misuse of religious social funds. Therefore, optimizing the zakat fitrah management system through strengthened inter-institutional coordination, digital technology adoption, and enhanced public literacy on zakat is essential to ensure a more effective and sustainable distribution.
