Abstract

Urgensi dalam penelitian Analisis Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa pada kelas VII SMP. sangat tinggi karena Kemampuan berkomunikasi dalam matematika menjadi salah satu unsur utama dalam proses pembelajaran, karena berperan besar terhadap pemahaman konsep, keterampilan menyelesaikan masalah, serta pembentukan cara berpikir kritis dan teratur pada diri siswa. Oleh sebab itu, penguasaan komunikasi matematis merupakan keterampilan penting yang seharusnya dimiliki siswa sepanjang kegiatan belajar matematika. Kemampuan ini meliputi keterampilan mengemukakan gagasan, memahami materi, serta menerapkan simbol dan bahasa matematika dengan benar. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menelaah sejauh mana kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang dimiliki oleh siswa SMP Negeri 12 Kota Jambi serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pencapaiannya. Pendekatan penelitian yang dipakai ialah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan siswa tingkat SMP sebagai subjek utama. Lokasi penelitian di SMP N 12 Kota Jambi. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu meliputi tes untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis disesuaikan berdasarkan indikator dari kemampuan komunikasi, serta wawancara mendalam dengan siswa terpilih untuk menggali pemahaman, kesulitan, dan cara siswa mengkomunikasikan ide matematisnya. Teknik analisis data yaitu reduksi data, keabsahan data, dan triangulasi Siswa akan dikategorikan menjadi 3 bagian yaitu kemampuan komunikasi tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Adapun instrumen yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar instrumen berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang dipadukan dengan wawancara tak terstruktur. Berdasarkan hasil temuan, siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan komunikasi matematis tinggi dapat memenuhi seluruh indikator yang ditetapkan. Sementara itu, siswa dengan kemampuan sedang hanya dapat mencapai sebagian indikator, dan siswa dengan kemampuan rendah tidak mampu memenuhi satupun indikator komunikasi matematis.

Abstract

Mandai is a traditional fermented food from East Kalimantan made from the peel of cempedak (Artocarpus champeden). To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to report the isolation and characterization of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) from mandai. The fermentation process was carried out for 14 days using MRS Agar medium, resulting in 17 bacterial isolates, consisting of nine Gram-negative and eight Gram-positive isolates. Among them, eight Gram-positive isolates were dominant and exhibited typical LAB characteristics, including acid and gas production from glucose, negative catalase activity, non-motility, growth at 48°C but not at 16°C, and the ability to hydrolyze starch, fat, and casein. During fermentation, the pH decreased from 6.8 to 3.8, confirming active lactic acid production. These findings demonstrate that LAB play a crucial role in generating the characteristic sour taste and improving the quality of mandai. Importantly, the identified LAB isolates have potential as starter cultures to enhance the safety, consistency, and nutritional value of this traditional food.

Abstract

This community service aims to prevent mental health problems in adolescents by providing adolescent cadres with stress management training, recognizing mental health problems, and providing mental health cadre training to adolescents. This community service was carried out through the observation, problem formulation, preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The method of implementing this service used training, discussion, and simulation. The evaluation instrument used was a pre-test and post-test. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon statistical test because the data was not normally distributed. The results showed % increase in knowledge among teenage cadres who had been trained by 25%. It also showed the influence of providing youth mental health cadre training on cadre knowledge (p-value=0.000 <0.05). There was a need to strengthen knowledge through outreach activities and training for cadres who have been trained continuously.

Abstract

The development of ethnoscience-based modules in biology learning, especially on plant material (Plantae), is an essential aspect of efforts to improve learning outcomes. By combining ethnographic and scientific approaches, this module is expected to consider students' cultural context better so as to increase their engagement and understanding of the material. This research aims to analyze the need to develop ethnoscience-based modules, and the importance of analyzing module needs today as an effort to improve biology learning outcomes on plant material (Plantae). This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research method used is development research with stages that include identifying needs, planning, development, testing, and evaluation. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling, with a sample of 60 students, and only 10 students, as well as 3 biology subject teachers at SMAN 1 Sungai Penuh, were selected for interviews. Data was collected through observation, field studies, documentation, and interviews and analyzed descriptively. The needs identification results show that there is a high need for the development of ethnoscience-based modules to strengthen students' understanding of plant material. The module is designed by considering the local cultural context and traditional knowledge, which can increase students' absorption of learning material. Module trials were carried out involving students as research subjects, and the results showed a significant increase in understanding of plant material. In addition, the positive response from students and teachers to the module confirms its effectiveness in improving biology learning outcomes. The newest thing in this research is a module developed with elements of ethnoscience by combining scientific concepts with scientific concepts that exist in society so that they can be expressed in a module. So, it can be concluded that the analysis of module needs is indeed critical and necessary in biology learning, especially plant material, which teachers and students can use.

Abstract

Adolescent is a period of transition to adulthood. At this age, adolescents are prone to experiencing mental health problems, one of which is self-injurious behavior. Adolescents who have self-injurious behavior need social and emotional support from various parties such as parents, health workers, schools, teachers and peers. Peer empowerment helps to train adolescents to recognize their potential, learn to be responsible, lead, and other positive activities that can overcome the problems of adolescents who have self-injurious behavior. The problems encountered in partner groups are; there is no use of peers to solve problems in adolescents, the school has never held special education about PERSEBAYA, and the incidence of students dropping out of school. This community service activity was carried out at Junior High School 21 Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency as a health partner. The purpose of this service is to carry out prevention efforts in adolescents by providing PERSEBAYA intervention. The method used is an experimental method where adolescents are given treatment in the form of PERSEBAYA intervention. The results of this service are expected that adolescents recognize the growth and development that must be achieved by adolescents and are able to control the desire to injure themselves

Abstract

Adolescence is a stage of life marked by important developments, namely physical, psychological, emotional, and social aspects. In recent years, adolescent mental health has received increasing attention from experts. This is because the early age of the first episode of mental disorders occurs at the age before 14 years. Adolescents at SMPN 21 Tanjung Jabung Timur do not know about mental health in adolescents. This community service activity aims to help increase the knowledge of young people at SMPN 21 Tanjung Jabung Timur about mental health and how to handle it early if mental health problems occur in friends at school. This community service activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 21 East Tanjung Jabung Regency as a health partner. The methods used are lectures, discussions, pre-test and post-test measurements of mental health conditions in adolescents. The results of the activity showed an increase in adolescent knowledge about mental health after being given mental health education by 74.4%. Mental health education is important to do as an effort to prevent mental health problems in adolescents.

Abstract

Early detection of mental health is one of the crucial steps in maintaining a good quality of life. By recognizing the early symptoms of mental disorders, individuals can get the right intervention immediately, thus preventing the condition from developing into a more serious one. This not only helps in faster recovery, but also reduces the negative impact on social, occupational and educational aspects. Therefore, awareness of the importance of early detection should continue to be raised in the community, so that more people can lead healthier and happier lives. This community service aims to detect the mental health of cadres at PIK-R Kirana Jambi City. Data collection was carried out using the Mental Health Continuum-Shortform / MHC-SF questionnaire instrument. Data analysis of this detection was carried out using descriptive qualitative methods. The participants in this activity amounted to 19 cadres consisting of 9 men and 10 women, with an average age of 22.4 years. Based on the results of the detection and analysis that has been carried out on the data, information obtained as many as 1 person (5%) is in the Languishing category, 3 people (16%) are in the Moderate category, and 15 people (79%) are in the Flourishing category.

Abstract

Tipe kepribadian mempunyai keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang berbeda-beda dalam memecahkan masalah. Siswa yang memiliki tingkat kepribadian yang berbeda dan pemecahan masalah yang berbeda, maka dalam menyelesaikan suatu persoalan atau masalah mempunyai cara penyelesaian yang berbeda juga Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menghasilkan gambaran yang jelas dan terperinci mengenai kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika dalam menyelesaikan soal pola bilangan berdasarkan tipe kepribadian ekstrovert dan introvert siswa kelas VIII SMP N 17 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas kelas VIII-I SMPN 17 Kota Jambi tahun ajaran 2023/2024 sebanyak 6 subjek. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi dokumentasi, angket, dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi: angket tipe kepribadian, tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian kualitatif ini meliputi: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verivikasi. Adapun prosedur yang dilakukan dalam penelitian kualitatif ini yakni meliputi tahap pra-lapangan dan tahap pekerjaan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika siswa berbeda-beda, kepribadian siswa mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kualitas Media Pembelajaran Wegos (Web Google Sites) berbasis Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang dilihat dari segi kualitas yakni valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development. dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini meliputi tim ahli, guru matematika, dan siswa kelas VIII.E SMP Negeri 7 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen pengumpulan data yang mencakup angket validasi, angket praktikalitas, angket efektifitas dan tes hasil belajar siswa. Hasil angket validasi untuk aspek materi sebesar 83% dan untuk aspek desain sebesar 74,73%. Persentase tingkat kepraktisan guru sebesar 88% dan tingkat kepraktisan oleh siswa sebesar 90,89%. Tingkat kefektifan berdasarkan hasil angket efektifitas oleh siswa diperoleh persentase sebesar 92,53%. Perolehan rata-rata skor pretest siswa adalah 29,96 dengan kategori rendah, sedangkan rata-rata skor posttest siswa sebesar 77%, untuk hasil rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,67 yang menunjukkan peningkatan dengan kategori tinggi serta persentase keefektifan N-Gain sebesar 67% dengan kategori cukup efektif, berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat dikatakan media pembelajaran Wegos (Web Google Sites) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.

Abstract

Rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam belajar matematika menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui proses dan hasil pengembangan e-modul berbasis model M-APOS terintegrasi film animasi Toontastic 3D guna meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik SMP Kelas VII dan mengetahui kualitas yang dilihat dari kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Penelitian ini menggunakan subjek uji coba yang terdiri dari tim ahli, guru bidang studi matematika, dan siswa kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 21 Batang Hari. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi analisis data validasi ahli, analisis data kepraktisan dan analisis data keefektifan. Hasil angket validasi untuk aspek materi sebesar 80% dan untuk aspek desain sebesar 91,11 %. Persentase tingkat kepraktisan guru sebesar 91,11%% dan tingkat kepraktisan oleh siswa sebesar 93,77%. Tingkat kefektifan berdasarkan hasil angket efektifitas oleh siswa diperoleh persentase sebesar 95,11%. Perolehan rata-rata tes hasil belajar siswa yakni 81% dengan kategori sangat efektif, perolehan rata-rata skor angket motivasi siswa setelah menggunakan e-modul berbasis model M-APOS terintegrasi film animasi menggunakan Toontastic 3D adalah 89,46% dengan kategori tinggi sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa e-modul berbasis model M-APOS terintegrasi filatod(film animasi: toontastic 3d) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa.
