Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between self-efficacy and academic procrastination in college students. The hypothesis put forward is that there is a negative correlation between self-efficacy and student academic procrastination, with the assumption that the stronger the self-efficacy, the smaller the student's academic procrastination. Conversely, the lower the student's self-efficacy, the greater the student's academic procrastination. This research is a correlational study with a sample of 31 people. Purposive sampling is used in the sampling technique. Questionnaires were used to collect data, data processing using the SPSS 21 application was carried out to find the correlation of the two variables. This study obtained Sig. (2-tailed) with a value of 0.000 <0.05 between self-efficacy and academic procrastination, which indicates that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination. The Pearson Correlation value between self-efficacy and academic procrastination is -0.611, indicating that there is a strong relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination and has a negative sign, which means that the higher the self-efficacy score, the lower the academic procrastination score, or conversely, the lower the self-score efficacy, the higher the value of academic procrastination.

Abstract

Online learning of islamic religion education and the problems. PAI learning is learning that emphasizes aspects of attitude. Of course this raises its own problems considering that attitude learning is learning that demands the appreciation of the values ??of Islamic Education. This study aims to examine how online Islamic education learning is during a pandemic? What problems do teachers and students face during online Islamic Education learning? This research is a field research with a qualitative approach. Data collection used interviews with students and teachers by telephone and in person by strictly applying health protocols. The subjects of this study were students and teachers who were directly involved in online Islamic Education learning. The results showed: 1) online PAI learning adapts to government policies ranging from learning planning, simplified learning materials, learning media using google classroom and the WA group, learning methods often using lectures and assignments, assessment using assignments (work chores). 2) The problems of online Islamic education learning faced by teachers are: teachers find it difficult to teach because students are passive, teachers feel tired and bored, the available learning media do not have ideal facilities, cannot control the learning process comprehensively. Online learning problems faced by students are: limited cellphone storage capacity, signal and quota constraints, and lack of motivation (learning feels bland and not serious because it cannot see or listen to the teacher's explanation directly).

Abstract

article discussed four main topics, where the results of observations in previous research are then connected with educational issues that occur today. The topic of observation is as follows: the role of the genome in the evolution of uniquely human traits occurs dynamically, the relationship between the genome, brain, and sub-sections related to cognition, attempts to associate cognition in the genome, correspondence between a particular level of behavioral complexity and the mechanisms by which the genetic system regulates both, genome and its role in education. The research method in this article is literature review in part one at Innovations in Educational Psychology book edited by David D. Preiss and Robert J. Stenberg as the primary source and other supporting literature as secondary sources. The results of this study reveal that the genome has an important benefit for education, although not directly but can better understand the nature and degree of flexibility of individual differences in the classroom. Abstract

This study delves into the effective strategies employed in Islamic religious education to illuminate the nexus between instructional approaches and subject matter alignment. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology with a phenomenological orientation, the investigation involved fifteen high school Islamic religious education teachers. Participants were selected using a purposive technique, focusing on eligibility criteria specific to Islamic religious education instructors. Data collection took place through structured interviews with an interview protocol, followed by analysis stages encompassing data collection, reduction, and interpretation. The results discern five overarching themes elucidating the strategies employed in teaching Islamic religious education. Firstly, three schools integrated experiential learning into their pedagogical approach, intertwining it with discussion strategies. Secondly, the application of experiential learning strategies is more straightforward with less intricate subject matter. Thirdly, addressing complex topics necessitates teachers to demonstrate competencies across pedagogical, personal, professional, and social dimensions. Fourthly, not all students readily engage in experiential learning due to unfamiliarity with articulating personal experiences as educational content. Lastly, the study advocates for incorporating advanced methods to tackle complex subject matter. These findings offer a foundational reference for future research endeavors, acknowledging the study's limitations and the recommendations proposed.

Abstract

To understand early childhood development, parents or professional teachers must first understand the conceptual meaning of early childhood development, including the factors that influence development. Thus, it is possible to plan, identify and know the steps that need to be taken to help your child's early childhood development develop optimally. One of the factors that influence the development of early childhood is external factors. Factors originating from environmental causes (especially family: related to the role of parents), the process of maturation of the environment in children is very important for parents to know. Knowing these external factors is expected to help the child's development process properly and appropriately.
