Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the phenomenon of hoarding disorder as a form of imbalance in the relationship between humans and objects, analyze relevant Islamic values in shaping attitudes toward material possessions, and formulate a conceptual model within Islamic Religious Education that can reconstruct the human–object relationship in a more proportional manner. Design/methods– This study employs a qualitative approach using an interdisciplinary conceptual synthesis design, integrating literature from the fields of psychology, Islamic ethics, and education. Analysis was conducted through the stages of conceptual mapping, comparative analysis, integrative synthesis, and model construction.   Findings – The research findings indicate that hoarding disorder can be understood as a dysfunction in the construction of values regarding objects, which is associated with cognitive distortions and excessive emotional attachment. Based on these findings, this study proposes the Model of Reconstruction of Human–Object Relationships Based on Islamic Values, comprising three main dimensions: value reorientation, cognitive restructuring, and attachment regulation. This model serves as a conceptual framework in Islamic Religious Education to foster rational, proportional, and utility-oriented attitudes toward objects. The contribution of this study lies in the integration of psychological approaches and Islamic values within an educational context, as well as in the development of a conceptual model that can be utilized as a preventive approach in addressing the phenomenon of hoarding disorder.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing environmental crisis, which indicates a low level of ecological awareness, including among university students, as well as the suboptimal integration of Islamic Religious Education and biology in the learning process. In fact, these two fields have great potential to develop holistic ecological awareness through the integration of Islamic values and scientific concepts. This study aims to describe the forms of integration between Islamic Religious Education and biology and to examine the extent of its implementation in fostering ecological awareness among students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. This research employs a qualitative approach using a field research method, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that integration has been carried out by linking biological concepts with Islamic values such as khalifah (stewardship), amanah (trust), and environmental balance, both in the learning process and in daily practices. Students demonstrate increased ecological awareness reflected in behaviors such as maintaining environmental cleanliness, reducing plastic use, and using resources more wisely. However, the implementation of this integration is still uneven, tends to depend on individual lecturers, and has not been systematically structured within the curriculum. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen integrative, contextual, and practice-based learning designs to more effectively and sustainably enhance students’ ecological awareness.

Abstract

Socio-cultural influences in this era bring various changes, one of which is a change in the function of a family. The number of working women has increased from the previous year, so childcare is something that needs to be considered, especially for mothers who are also breadwinners. Child care is an alternative in nurturing, caring for, protecting, and guiding children, especially child services entering the golden age. The method used in this study is a literature review which discusses sub-chapters with the theme of the new role of a school in Stenberg's book. The results of the review show that child care centers in influencing their development and growth depend on the quality of care, the programs carried out, and adequate infrastructure. Daycare can be a solution for busy working parents. In addition, daycare centers are also prepared to develop their potential so that children will be ready to enter the next stage of education. Because in preparation for the next stage of education, it is not only in the academic field but also in the social, emotional, and behavioral fields of children. Child care is a facility that is rich in stimulus and can optimize children's growth and development if there are several factors that play a role, such as knowledge of caregivers about child development, ratio of children to caregivers, and understanding of learning theory. Understanding the growth and development of children can help caregivers provide the right stimulus for the child. Then the ratio between children and caregivers, understanding of learning theory can also help optimize children's growth and development. So that parents do not need to worry or even worry about the process of child development if they leave it in a quality daycare center. Keywords: Child care, parents, child development.

Abstract

The problem that arises today is the occurrence of a crisis of spirituality in children and adolescents. Not infrequently, children commit crimes such as robbery, gambling, brawls between schools, murder, drug addiction, and others. This is due to the need for a balance between religious values in individuals with the development of an increasingly advanced era. This study aims to analyze the effect of spirituality during school age and its relevance to Islamic education. This study uses qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study include data reduction, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there are six stages of spiritual development, namely the stage of intuitive-projective beliefs (early childhood), mystical-literal beliefs (middle and late youth), synthetic-conventional beliefs (transition between childhood and adolescence, adolescence early), individual-reflective ideas (the transition between adolescence and adulthood, early adulthood), conjunctive beliefs (mid-adulthood), and universal beliefs (mid-adult or late adulthood). Children's religious attitudes should be formed early, starting from the child's closest environment, such as family, school, and community. The stronger the child's experience, the better the development of children's religious attitudes can be controlled optimally.
