Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of the differentiated approach on high school students' conceptual understanding of the work and energy topic. The research method used is a quantitative method. Two classes of 10th graders in one of the Senior High Schools in the Tangerang districts were chosen to be research participants with cluster random sampling. Data collection was done with learning style questionnaire and conceptual understanding item with a reliability 0.73. The experimental class applied Inquiry-based Learning with differentiation, while the control class applied Inquiry-based Learning without differentiation. The results of the different tests of students' conceptual understanding after learning showed a significant difference in the understanding of students' concepts in the two classes. The effect size score showed a large effect of a differentiated approach on students' conceptual understanding. The analysis of the level of students' conceptual understanding for each subtopic showed the Law of Conservation of Mechanical Energy having the most students at irresponsiveness level, while the subtopics with the highest number of students at the understanding level was the work subtopic. The percentage of students who studied with a differentiated approach at the highest understanding level is more than students without a differentiated approach in all subtopics. Although the application of the differentiated approach had obstacles in online learning, the differentiated approach applied in Inquiry based Learning has a positive impact in facilitating the diversity of student learning styles.

Abstract

Abad 21 merupakan era pengetahuan, dimana masyarakat harus bisa melakukan berbagai hal dengan pengetahuan dan menciptakan pengetahuan baru. Peran pendidikan penting untuk mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan profil keterampilan abad 21 sebagai pijakan dalam mengembangkan cara-cara melatih keterampilan abad 21. Keterampilan abad 21 yang diteliti meliputi 4 C yaitu keterampilan berfikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi dan komunikasi. Indikator 4C mengacu kepada Framework Buck Institute For Education (BIE). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi yang dilengkapi  rubrik hasil adaptasi dari BIE. Jumlah partisipan adalah 109 orang, diambil dari 3 kelas XI IPA di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan untuk berfikir kritis, 28 % siswa dibawah standar, 42 % siswa mendekati standar dan 30 % siswa sesuai standar. Untuk kreativitas,  48 % dibawah standar, 30 % mendekati standar dan 22 % sesuai standar. Untuk kolaborasi 18 % dibawah standar, 48 % mendekati standar, 33 % sesuai standar. Untuk komunikasi, 31 % dibawah standar, 36 % mendekati standar dan 33 % sesuai standar. Karena keterampilan siswa paling banyak pada kategori mendekati standar dan dibawah standar, hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan abad 21 siswa masih perlu ditingkatkan melalui strategi pembelajaran yang tepat. Kata kunci: keterampilan abad 21; deskriptif; kategori. ABSTRACT The 21st century is an era of knowledge, where people must be able to do things with knowledge and create new knowledge. The role of education is important to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century. This study aims to obtain a profile of 21st century skills as a basis for developing ways to train 21st century skills of high school students. 21st century skills studied include 4 C, namely critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration and communication. The 4C indicator refers to the Buck Institute For Education (BIE) Framework. This study uses a qualitative descriptive design. Data collection uses an observation sheet instrument that is equipped with an adaptation rubric from BIE. The number of participants was 109 people, taken from 3 XI IPA classes in one of the Public High Schools in Bandung City. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The results showed that for critical thinking, 28% of students were below the standard, 42% of students approached the standard and 30% of students were according to the standard. For creativity, 48% below the standard, 30% near the standard and 22% according to the standard. For collaboration 18% below the standard, 48% near the standard, 33% according to the standard. For communication, 31% below the standard, 36% near the standard and 33% according to the standard. Because students 'skills are the most in the category approaching standards and below standards, it shows that 21st century students' skills still need to be improved through appropriate learning strategies. Keywords: 21st century skills; descriptive; category.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Teori kinetik gas merupakan salah satu topik abstrak yang membutuhkan dukungan visual untuk mempelajarinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan bahan ajar menggunakan teknologi augmented reality pada materi teori kinetik gas yang layak digunakan oleh guru dan siswa kelas XI SMA. Bahan ajar yang dibuat adalah bahan ajar yang memadukan buku cetak dengan aplikasi pada smartphone berbasis Android sehingga dapat memvisualisasikan objek-objek abstrak dalam bentuk 3 dimensi atau video. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Design and Reseach. Kelayakan bahan ajar ini diuji oleh tiga orang ahli konten, tiga orang ahli media, dan dua orang guru mata pelajaran fisika menggunakan instrumen yang diadaptasi dari Learning Object Review Instrument (LORI). Hasil yang didapatkan adalah bahan ajar memiliki persentase kelayakan konten 81 % dan persentase kelayakan tampilan 89%. Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar augmented reality yang dibuat layak.  ABSTRACT Kinetic theory of gases is one of abstract topic that need visual support to learn. This research aims to design and create a kinetic theory of gases learning material using augmented reality technology for senior high school students. The learning material created is a combination between a printed book and an application for Android smartphone. It can be visualized abstract objects to 3 dimension form or video. The research method used in this research is Design and Research The feasibility test was doing by three content experts, three media experts, and two physics teachers using a Learning Object Review Instrument (LORI) 2.0 with result proper in content (81%) and visual design (89%). Abstract

Kecerdasan merupakan salah satu faktor utama yang menentukan kesuksesan belajar siswa. Setiap orang memiliki kecerdasan yang beragam, yang dikenal dengan kecerdasan majemuk. Sehingga dibutuhkan bahan ajar yang dapat mengoptimalkan berbagai macam kecerdasan yang dimiliki siswa. Salah satunya Bahan Ajar IPBA berbasis web yang dibuat oleh Liliawati, dkk pada tahun 2015. Bahan ajar IPBA berbasis web ini mengakomodasi kecerdasan majemuk dalam setiap tahapan pembelajarannya. Hal ini sangat penting karena penilaian atau hasil belajar yang tidak mengakomodasi semua kecerdasan adalah bentuk penghambatan terhadap kecerdasan yang dimiliki siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil aktivitas kecerdasan majemuk siswa kelas X SMA pada materi hukum Kepler dengan penggunaan bahan ajar IPBA berbasis Web. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experimental design dan analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket identifikasi kecerdasan majemuk dan lembar observasi aktivitas kecerdasan majemuk. Hasil penelitian menunjukan profil aktivitas kecerdasan majemuk diperoleh bahwa kemunculan aktivitas kecerdasan majemuk paling tinggi yaitu pada kecerdasan naturalis dan interpersonal, sedangkan yang paling rendah yaitu kecerdasan visual-spasial. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Majemuk; IPBA ABSTRACT Intelligence is one of the main factors that determine the success of student learning. Everyone has diverse intelligence, known as multiple intelligences. So that we need teaching materials that can optimize the various kinds of intelligence that students have. One of them is web-based IPBA Teaching Materials made by Liliawati et al in 2015. This web-based IPBA teaching material accommodates multiple intelligences in each stage of its learning. This is very important because the assessment or learning outcomes that do not accommodate all intelligence is a form of inhibition of the intelligence possessed by students. This study aims to determine the profile of multiple intelligence activities of SMA X students in Kepler's legal material with the use of Web-based IPBA teaching materials. This study used the pre-experimental design method and data analysis using descriptive statistics. The instruments used were multiple intelligence identification questionnaires and observation sheets of multiple intelligence activities. The results showed that the profile of multiple intelligence activities showed that the emergence of multiple intelligence activities was highest, namely in naturalist and interpersonal intelligence, while the lowest was visual-spatial intelligence. Keyword: multiple intelligence, IPBA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun panduan eksperimen digital berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) pada materi Hukum Kepler. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat membantu peserta didik untuk menganalisis gerak planet menurut Hukum Kepler (sesuai dengan KD 3.8 pada kurikulum 2013) sehingga peserta didik mengalami kesulitan untuk memahaminya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (RD) dengan model 4D yang kemudian dimodifikasi menjadi 3D, terdiri dari tahap Define, Design dan Develop. Untuk mengukur kualitas panduan eksperimen digital berbasis Augmented Reality dilakukan respon akademik untuk komponen materi dan media. Panduan eksperimen dikembangkan berdasarkan aspek-aspek inkuiri, sehingga dilakukan juga respon akademik untuk kesesuaian komponen panduan eksperimen digital dengan aspek inkuiri. Hasil respon akademik diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan Many Faceted Rasch Model. Kemudian, dilakukan uji terbatas produk kepada 7 peserta didik kelas XI di salah satu SMA di Kota Bandung menggunakan angket tanggapan peserta didik dan soal uji rumpang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa panduan eksperimen digital berbasis Augmented Reality yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria media, materi dan aspek inkuiri dengan hasil validasi terkualifikasi “layak” disertai dengan tanggapan yang positif dari peserta didik sehingga produk dapat digunakan untuk tahap selanjutnya (Dissiminate). Kata Kunci: Augmented Reality; Eksperimen; Digital; Inkuiri; Kepler  ABSTRACT This study aims to compile a digital experiment guide based on Augmented Reality (AR) on Kepler's Law material. Research is motivated by the lack of learning activities that can help students to analyze planetary motion according to Kepler's Law (according to KD 3.8 in the 2013 curriculum) so that students have difficulty understanding it. The research method used is Research and Development (RD) with a 4D model which is then modified into 3D, consisting of the Define, Design and Develop stages. To measure the quality of the Augmented Reality-based digital experiment guide, an academic response was carried out for the material and media components. The experimental guide was developed based on the aspects of inquiry, so that an academic response was also carried out for the suitability of the digital experiment guide component with the inquiry aspect. The results of academic responses were processed and analyzed using the Many Faceted Rasch Model. Then, a limited product test was carried out on 7 students of class XI in one of the high schools in Bandung using student response questionnaires and interlocking test questions. The results showed that the Augmented Reality-based digital experimental guide developed met the criteria for media, material and aspects of inquiry with the validation results that were qualified "feasible" accompanied by positive responses from students so that the product could be used for the next stage (Dissiminate). Keyword : Augmented Reality; Experiment; Digital; Inquiry; Kepler

Abstract

Asesmen memiliki tiga fungsi yaitu assessment of learning, assessment for learning, assessment of learning. Ketiga fungsi asesmen tersebut memiliki proporsi yang seimbang. Namun implementasi asesmen dalam pembelajaran selama ini didominasi oleh assessment of learning. Ketidakseimbangan ini menghambat peserta didik untuk membangun pengetahuannya. Oleh karena itu perlu melakukan penguatan kompetensi kepada guru untuk mengubah konsepsi asesmen dalam mengimplementasikan ketiga peran asesmen. Penelitian menggunakan metode ekspermen. Partisipan yang mengikuti kegiatan berjumlah 50 guru Fisika SMA yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia (11 Laki-laki dan 39 Wanita) dengan lama mengajar 1-28 tahun. Penelitian diawali dengan tes awal dan setelah kegiatan selesai diberikan tes akhir. Soal berjumlah 15 soal dengan bentuk pilihan ganda. Program penguatan kompetensi asesmen berupa ekspositori, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Hasil yang diperoleh terjadi peningkatn dengan kategori sedang (ngain=0.43). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa program penguatan kompetensi asesmen dapat meningkatkan konsepsi guru terhadap asesmen.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai penerapan Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) di sekolah telah banyak dilakukan. Namun sejauh ini, ketersediaan instrumen sustainability consciousness masih terbatas dan memiliki kelemahan sehingga kurang sesuai jika diterapkan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun dan mengkarakterisasikan instrumen sustainability consciousness yang diharapkan sesuai pada kondisi siswa Indonesia. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian menggunakan desain konstruksi dan validasi. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik survei dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan model Rasch. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai validitas isi rata-rata yaitu sebesar 0,98 (sangat baik), validitas konten item untuk tingkat kesesuaian butir seluruh item dapat diterima, nilai validitas konstruk keseluruhan dapat diterima, dan nilai validitas skala peringkat untuk skala 1 hingga 4 dapat dipahami responden. Nilai reliabilitas cronbach alpha sebesar 0.63 (cukup), reliabilitas item sebesar 0,98 (sangat baik), reliabilitas responden sebesar 0,63 (cukup). Tingkat kesukaran item dikelompokan dari yang sulit disetujui, sedang, dan mudah disetujui berdasarkan nilai mean dan standar deviasi. Responden tidak menunjukan keberagaman yang baik sehingga terdapat beberapa item yaitu P7, S1, S5, S7, dan S8, yang memiliki nilai diskrimasi yang rendah. Namun, instrumen sustainability consciousness tidak memiliki item outliers atau item yang tidak dapat digunakan dan perlu dibuang.Kata kunci: Energi, ESD, Sustainability Consciousness ABSTRACKResearch on the application of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in schools has been widely carried out. However, so far, the availability of the sustainability consciousness instrument is still limited and has weaknesses so that it is not suitable for application in Indonesia. This study aims to develop a sustainability consciousness instrument which is expected to be suitable for the condition of Indonesian students and to characterize the sustainability consciousness instrument on the topic of energy. This research uses descriptive quantitative method with research design using construction design and validation. Collecting data using survey techniques with data analysis techniques using the Rasch model. The results showed that the average content validity value was 0.98 (very good), the item content validity for the suitability level of all items was acceptable, the overall construct validity value was acceptable, and the rating scale validity value for a scale of 1 to 4 was understandable. respondents. Cronbach alpha reliability value is 0.63 (enough), item reliability is 0.98 (very good), respondent reliability is 0.63 (enough). The level of difficulty of items is grouped from those that are difficult to agree with, moderate, and easy to agree on based on the mean and standard deviation. Respondents do not show good diversity, so there are several items, namely P7, S1, S5, S7, and S8, which have low discrimination values. However, the sustainability consciousness instrument does not have outliers or items that cannot be used and need to be discarded.Keywords: Energy, ESD, Sustainability Consciousness

Abstract

Formative assessment is an essential aspect of learning. Facts in the field show that there still needs to be more teachers who conduct formative assessments during the learning process. The assessment that carries out assesses the final results of learning through summative. This study aims to analyze the ability of science teachers to design formative assessment instruments in science teaching through the implementation of the participatory training model. The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 30 junior high school science teachers in Sumedang Regency. Data collection instruments are formative assessment product sheets made by teachers and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the ability of teachers to design formative instrument assessments was categorized as good. Abstract

Teaching materials are vital recources for students in their learning process. Decision-making skills are one of the essential competencies that students have to possess in the 21st century. The global dilemmas being faced today and will get worse is climate change. The challenges caused by climate change that is occurring need to involve students looking for the best decisions as well as through these problems students will be able to train their decision-making abilities. This study aimed to analyze the importance of developing socio-scientific issues teaching materials to train decision-making skills so that later it will be improved. Data were collected through questionnaires filled out by 30 students to gauge their current decision-making abilities, revealing a tendency to rely on personal feelings. Additionally, 10 teachers were surveyed about their methods for enhancing students’ decision-making skills. This data was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the study found that the level of students' ability to make decisions is still low and based on their personal feelings. Also, there were no teaching materials containing socioscientific-issues to train students' decision-making skill. Thus, it is important to develop android-based socioscientific-issues teaching materials on the topic of climate change to improve students' decision-making skills.

Abstract

Concept mastery is one of the main goals in the learning process. This study aimed to analyze the improvement of students’ physics concept mastery by implementing challenge-based learning with Edmodo-assisted learning. This study used mixed methods with an embedded experimental model research design. The research sample was 10th-grade students in a public vocational school’s food crops and horticulture agribusiness program. Data analysis employed the Rasch model with the help of ministeps software version 4.1.1. The results of this study indicate a significant increase in students’ conceptual mastery of +3.44 logit. The average logit value of students’ abilities is higher than the average logit value of the item difficulty level. Students’ physics concept mastery can be improved through the challenge-based learning model assisted by Edmodo.
