Abstract

The use of game mechanics, game aesthetics, and game thinking can engage a person to be motivated to improve learning and solve problems. Students' motivation to learn when using games increases because in the game students feel happy and the learning that is carried out becomes cooperative. Game-based learning allows students to develop problem-solving skills, cooperate with peers and better communicate knowledge and learning outcomes. Students' understanding using games is considered easier to remember because learning is more fun. The results of this study found that there is a positive relationship between student engagement and the use of games in classroom learning. This positive relationship is seen in the use of games that increase students' emotional state such as excitement and motivation. This in turn improves student learning outcomes, as students become actively engaged in learning.

Abstract

Psikososial adalah kondisi seseorang yang mencakup aspek psikis dan sosial mencakup pikiran, emosi, kondisi jiwa, perilaku, persepsi, agama, kemampuan bersosialisasi, dan keyakinan. Psikososial lansia sendiri merupakan kondisi kemampuan seseorang untuk berinteraksi dengan sekitarnya. Kondisi psikososial pada lansia termasuk dalam kategori krisis, dimana mereka ketergantungan pada orang lain, memiliki rasa cemas yang tinggi, dan menurunnya kemampuan kognitif. Perkembangan psikososial pada lansia berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan sikap mandiri dan fungsi kognitif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menyelidiki dan menganalisis bagaimana perkembangan psikososial pada lansia, khususnya terkait dengan upaya meningkatkan sikap mandiri dan fungsi kognitif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian teori atau literature review. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah dapat diketahui pengaruh dari perkembangan psikososial lansia terhadap peningkatan sikap mandiri dan fungsi kognitif. Lansia yang mengalami perkembangan psikososial yang positif cenderung lebih mampu menjaga kemandirian mereka dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan peserta didik merupakan konsep yang saling terkait. Pertumbuhan mencakup perubahan yang dapat diamati dan diukur secara langsung, seperti peningkatan tinggi badan dan berat badan. Di sisi lain, perkembangan merujuk pada proses perubahan kualitatif dalam fungsi organ fisik yang tidak dapat diukur secara kuantitatif (A.E Sinolung, 1997). Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) menetapkan batasan usia remaja antara 10-20 tahun, dibagi menjadi dua tahap, yaitu masa remaja/remaja awal yang dimulai pada usia 10 hingga 14 tahun, dan masa remaja akhir antara usia 15 hingga 20 tahun (Sarwono, 2011; Damanik, 2014). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan dengan tujuan menganalisis pertumbuhan dan perkembangan peserta didik sekolah menengah atas. Informasi diperoleh dari penelitian literatur melalui sumber seperti artikel ilmiah, buku, dan situs web yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Terdapat 15 artikel ilmiah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis teori, yang melibatkan pengumpulan informasi dari berbagai jenis literatur seperti jurnal ilmiah, artikel ilmiah, dan buku. Analisis teoritis bertujuan untuk memilih, membandingkan, dan menggabungkan teori-teori yang berbeda sehingga teori yang dipilih memiliki validitas dan makna yang bermakna.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of PBL learning models on student learning outcomes in light material. This type of research is an experimental study with a post-test only control group design. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Ambulu. The study population was all class VIII SMPN 1 Ambulu, sampling using a homogeneity test. Student learning outcomes data were collected using post-test questions and analyzed using the Independent Sampe T-test with a significance level of 5%. The results of data analysis on the Kolmogorov Smirnov normality test showed that the two study samples were normally distributed, so that the parametric statistical test was then the Independent Sample T-test. The results of the analysis with the Independent Sample T-test show that there is a significant influence on the PBL learning model on student learning outcomes in light material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the PhET application which is equipped with worksheets about motion and force for science learning in junior high schools. This type of research is descriptive which is conducted on 8th grade junior high school students in one of junior high school in Lumajang Regency. The effectiveness of learning is shown from learning activities and increasing students’achievement. Data were collected by observation and test techniques. Learning activity data were analyzed descriptively using percentages and increasing students’ achievement were analyzed with normalized gain (Ng). One group pre-test and post-plan design are used in the data collection process. The results showed that the average student learning activity for four activity indicators (visual, mental, motor, and emotional) was 79,94% included in the good category and the average increase in learning outcomes was 0.67 (medium category). The conclusion of this study is the learning of science of motion and force in junior high school by using the PhET application is quite effective in improving student learning outcomes and the average student learning activity become good.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of video animation media on global warming material t. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. This research was conducted at Junior High School 3 Lumajang. The research subjects were students of 7th  grade of Junior High School 3 Lumajang. Data collection techniques in this study were observation to observe student activities, questionnaires for student responses and pretest-posttest to improve learning outcomes. The data analysis technique uses percentages for activity and response analysis, while for improving learning outcomes using the n-gain test. The results show that student activity is obtained on average 70.834% with sufficient categories, student responses obtained on average 76.25% with good categories , the increase in learning outcomes obtained an average n-gain value of 0.745 with a high classification. So learning global warming material using animated video media is said to be effective.

Abstract

TThe main problem in the world of education today is the low critical thinking skills of junior high school students in science subjects. This research aims to examine the influence of the probing prompting learning model on junior high school students' critical thinking skills in science subjects. The type of research is a quasi experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The samples used were students in class VIII C (experimental class) and VIII B (control class). Sampling used purposive sampling technique. Data was obtained from pre-test and post-test question instruments. Data analysis techniques use normality test, independent sample t-test, and N-Gain test. Analysis of research results using SPSS version 25.0 obtained a significance value (2-tailed) > 0.05, which shows that the application of the probing prompting learning model has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills in science subjects. The research results showed that the influence of the probing prompting learning model was able to improve critical thinking skills starting from high to low criteria including interpretation, self-regulation, explanation, conclusion, evaluation, analysis. The application of the probing prompting learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a skill needed to solve problems in the 21st century. However, the critical thinking skills of Indonesian students are still considered low, as confirmed by PISA research results. This low critical thinking ability is due to students' limited understanding of factual and conceptual information when solving problems. One learning model that can serve as an alternative to improving students' critical thinking skills is the Inquiry model with a STEM approach. In this model, students are actively engaged in learning, as the process focuses on them. Additionally, the STEM approach enhances students' critical thinking abilities because it integrates various fields of knowledge, enabling students to think from multiple perspectives and become accustomed to critical thinking. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the Inquiry learning model with a STEM approach on students' critical thinking skills. This quantitative research was conducted at Mts 1 Jember during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample included class VIII B as the experimental group and class VIII D as the control group, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques involved tests as the primary instrument, with supporting instruments such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Independent Sample t-test, which showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The results indicated a moderate increase in students' critical thinking skills, with a score of 0.68. From this analysis, it can be concluded that the use of the Inquiry learning model with a STEM approach has a significant positive impact on improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pengaruh dan peningkatan pemanfaatan video fenomena alam terhadap kreativitas ilmiah siswa. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimen quasi dengan rancangan nonequivalent control-group design. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kreativitas ilmiah yang hasilnya dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain dan independent sample t-test. Berdasarkan hasil uji N-Gain, diperoleh peningkatan kreativitas ilmiah pada kelas eksperimen dalam kategori sedang dan pada kelas kontrol dalam kategori rendah. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan perbedaan nilai yang signifikan antara kelas control dan eksperimen. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil bahwa pemanfaatan video fenomena alam dalam pembelajaran IPA materi lapisan bumi dapat meningkatkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa dalam kategori sedang serta berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kreativitas ilmiah siswa MTsAbstract The purpose of this study was to examine the effect and increase in the use of videos of natural phenomena on students' scientific innovation. This experimental study used a quasi-experimental research design with a nonequivalent control-group design. The research instrument was a scientific creativity test, the results of which were analyzed using the N-Gain test and independent sample t-test. Based on the results of the N-Gain test, there was an increase in scientific creativity in the experimental class in the medium category and in the control class in the low category. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significant difference in values between the control and experimental classes. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the use of videos of natural phenomena in natural science learning for earth layer material can increase students' scientific creativity in the medium category, which has a significant effect on scientific innovation of junior high school students.
