Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the game-based learning model on student engagement in history learning. A quasi-experimental design with a post-test-only model and a non-equivalent control-group design was used to verify the effect of the two variables. The sample consisted of 66 students in classes XI IPS 4 and XI IPS 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Gambiran, obtained through a homogeneity test. The data were collected using documentation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used one-way ANOVA and LSD (Least Significant Difference) follow-up test with the help of SPSS 22.0 software for Windows. Data analysis results showed that there was an effect of applying the game-based learning model on student engagement in history classrooms. The results of the one-way ANOVA test showed that the probability value (sig.) in the experimental group was 0.040 0.05, with the LSD follow-up test LSD of 2.45455. Therefore, it is concluded that there was an effect of student engagement on the experimental group taught using the game-based learning model. This research recommends that the game-based learning model can be a reference for improving student engagement, active learning, and student-centered learning so that the learning process becomes fun, interactive, communicative, collaborative, and able to maximize the role of technology in education. Keywords: Education 4.0, game-based learning, student engagementPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penerapan model game-based learning terhadap student engagement pada mata pelajaran sejarah. Abstract

Most people agree that COVID-19 has affected the tourism sector the most. This paper seeks to find the socioeconomic impacts of COVID-19 on the destination under study. The research implored semi-structured interviews, observations, and content analysis to acquire information. The first case of the virus in The Gambia was registered on the 16th of March 2020. As of the 29th of January, 2021, the country registered 4,090 positive cases of COVID-19, out of whom 3,792 have recovered, 128 are confirmed to have died, and 170 active cases. A total of 59% of confirmed cases are male and 41% female. The ecotourism industry of The Gambia is hit hard by the impacts of COVID-19. The places highly affected are the wildlife ecologies with no spiritual connections. There is evidence of wildlife crime and negative human-wildlife interaction. Sacred sites are easier to manage as people’s spirituality frowns at wildlife cruelty. The pandemic has caused severe economic, health, and social challenges in the Gambia, killing many and disrupting the normal functioning of society, including wildlife ecologies in some places. It has increased wildlife hunger in Kachikally Crocodile Pool, economic distress, and human-wildlife conflict in Bijilo Monkey Forest and surrounding.   Keywords: Covid-19, Ecotourism, Environment, impacts, socio-economic.

Abstract

This research investigates the significant relationship among Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), employee performance, and job satisfaction within the context of PT. Swadaya Mukti Prakarta. The study employed statistical analysis, including a paired t-Test for Means, to assess the mean differences between OCB and employee performance. The findings revealed a substantial positive correlation (Pearson's correlation coefficient of 0.893) between OCB and employee performance, indicating that higher levels of OCB among employees are associated with increased performance levels. Furthermore, the research examined the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance. The results demonstrated a strong positive correlation (Pearson's correlation coefficient of 0.931) between job satisfaction and employee performance, emphasizing the critical role of job satisfaction in enhancing overall employee performance. Additionally, the validity and reliability of the measurement instruments were tested. The study confirmed the validity of the survey questions for all three constructs (OCB, employee performance, and job satisfaction) and established satisfactory reliability for the measurements. In conclusion, this research highlights the significant impact of OCB on employee performance and underscores the importance of fostering OCB and job satisfaction in enhancing organizational effectiveness. These findings offer valuable insights for organizations seeking to improve their employees' performance and overall job satisfaction.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the management model of biodiesel based on used cooking oil in East Java. In this study, researchers used a research method with a qualitative approach. The result of this research is that the management of biodiesel based on used cooking oil in East Java technically, no special field handles these problems, so the relationship between related agencies could have gone better. In the research findings in the field, the current model still needs to improve. The use of interpretive qualitative methods was to provide satisfactory information related to the required aspects of the research and for researchers to closely assess the respondents' views on the challenges of recycling used cooking oil to produce biodiesel. The management of used cooking oil-based biodiesel in East Java technically does not have a special field that handles this problem, so relations between related agencies do not run well. In the policy-making process, there has also yet to be an adjustment to the existing characteristics of society, resulting in the policy for managing used cooking oil-based biodiesel not being optimal. Abstract

Construction is the most significant contributor to global energy consumption. Several studies are currently being conducted to assess the risk of green construction projects, and risk modeling that considers sustainable variables is required. This study aims to evaluate, assess, and analyze the current literature on the concept of modeling the risk of green on the application of the pentuple bottom line, as well as to identify the associated themes and gaps. The Scopus databases were searched for risk green buildings using keywords such as "Risk," "green," and "building." Several papers were discovered and filtered based on their title, abstract, and keyword relevance. More articles were cross-referenced and filtered based on title, abstract, and keyword relevance—the method with Prisma protocol and Vosviewer. From 2006 to 2022, 1333 publications were discovered and analyzed using 12 bibliometrics. The approach to the likelihood and impact of the evaluation model is defined by taking five sustainable components into account (economic, social, environmental, religious, and technological). RGB = (Rp + Rse + Rm + Rt + Rs /5) is the outcome of the green building risk assessment formula. Keywords: green building, impact, risk, modeling, pentuple

Abstract

Agropolitan is one of the regional development concepts used to overcome urbanization caused by development inequality and regional equity. The development of the Pujon District Agropolitan Area is expected to reduce development inequality and poverty levels. This research aims to identify superior commodities, assess sustainability, and develop appropriate strategies for developing the Pujon District into a prosperous Agropolitan area. Quantitative data is used in the research method. Location Quotient (LQ), Multidimensional Scaling (MDS), and SWOT analysis were used to analyze the data. According to the LQ analysis findings, the Pujon District's primary commodities are garlic, potatoes, cauliflower, large chilies, and carrots. Data analysis using MDS on the ecological, economic, socio-cultural, infrastructure, and technology dimensions, as well as the legal and institutional dimensions, reveals that they are "fairly sustainable." According to the findings of the SWOT analysis, the primary key to the strategy for developing agropolitan areas is determining the competitiveness of only commodities so that the higher quality and competitiveness of commodities will encourage the formation of select commodity markets and the formation of dynamic trading activities (marked by high demand from various regions outside the Pujon). Keywords: agropolitan, multidimensional scalling, sustainable agriculture.
